The service of the employ in the fabric department is bad very bad you may safe 2 dollars but get a service like in a 3 rd world country this places have low quality garbage. Can be found in other stores better quality and better prices. I found other store and I cant remember the name when I do I post it here.botten laces and fabric demented a good service were u shope u deserve it.

Love looking through this treasure trove. Lots of fun stuff, I just wish they had a bigger bead selection because they are a craft store! Most of it is at a good price as well.

been going to save a thon for nearly 10 years and will definitely be going for atleast 10 more. great selection for good prices. random things are a bit overpriced (like some of the yarn, not all but some). the fabric is amazingly priced and i very rarely go anywhere else for fabric now. the staff (especially the cutting staff upstairs) are always so helpful :) thank you !

Good store but rude customer service on the second floor (long curly hair guy). The guy on the first floor was awesome and helpful. Remove this guy for a better experience.

I have been here many times to buy materials for sewing the staff are friendly and cool folks you can laugh with so i decided to bring my sewing machine here to get clean and oil down they said $65 which I thought was a lot but I needed good professional cleaning I picked it up 2 days later and I thought it was clean but I did not have my glasses and I trusted them it would be clean. I came home and try to use it that's when I realized it was still dirty . I opened the top and saw it Was NEVER CLEANED just thick inkling of grease. I was very upset as I wanted to sew something and could not. I plan on taking it back on Monday and would give a update after. Ok I took it back and picked it up a few days later I took it home unscrewed it and it was still dirty part of the outside area was clean but still not much. I would continue going there for shopping but would go on you tube and find how to oil and clean my machine. I honestly felt for $70. Plus I should have gotten a professional cleaning other than a few dabs of grease on it I would NEVER recommend anyone to go there to get their sewing machine clean and if they do get a screw driver open it and check.

Love this place for yarn and craft supplies but do not take your sewing machine for repair here. Brought mine in, they said they could not fix it. Took it to someone else and the fixed the whole thing. Apparently, it's not that it couldn't be fixed but that they didn't want to fix it.

Great art store if you’re looking for something specific. Most of the items are cheap but the yarn is too overpriced.

Excellent customer service everyone is very helpful. Very clean store. Quality items at a reasonable price. I've been shopping here for almost 30 years and I wish I lived closer but worth the trip.

They do not update the working hours. And it's really bad. In particular, I needed to buy something in that store. I saw the working hours in advance. It is written that they work until 7. I arrived at 5:50 and they finished work at 6. I had to come from a long way.I could neither choose nor buy

The yarn was there however im a big customer experience person. i was with my elder Auntie and she needed the restroom first person said the bathroom was downstairs no one was there clearly after asking 1 other person i ask the woman at the cashier she acted like i was asking for a transient that was going to stop up the toilet she said they had one but they stopped letting people use because of their mess. A. I bought a sizeable amount and B we explained the emergency it was not crowded so none would have had a problem. C. We took 2 buses to get there. You want to support mom and pop yet this is not acceptable so Big box yarn store might be the better option .

I enjoy coming here to get arts and crafts supplies. I got all the supplies I needed to make my sorority paddles. There’s no Michael’s in the area and this is the next best thing.

Great store for art supplies, craft supplies, sewing supplies, knitting and crocheting, and baking supplies. They have really cute molds and cupcake toppers and a nice selection of Wilton products. A large selection of fabrics and odd and ends. You never know what you'll find! Best place for vinyl tablecloths, huge selection!

Spacious and well-organized crafts and notions store w/3 floors (main level, lower & upper), and pleasant service. 18x18 pillow inserts are $6.99 (seem a bit pricey) and large pieces of foam in various thicknesses $50-$200. Valan (on top floor) was very patient and helpful both over the phone and in person. Metered on-street parking ($1.25 for one hour and $3.25 for 2).

Fantastic selection of sewing necessities! I live in Florida but visit Brooklyn frequently to see family and I always make sure I stop by here on my way to King’s Plaza. They have all of the same items as the corporate craft stores down here in Florida, for a FRACTION of the price. Everything from T-Shirts to fabrics to thread is wonderfully priced

Its a convenient local craft store with more than just fabric and buttons... you can also find here alot, but not all, bead work supplies... plenty of artifical flowers, wreaths, kids crafts, paints... and a whole lower floor dedicated to vast array of yarns.

The staff is VERY helpful and the store has a wide selection of fabrics and other craft items. Prices are good. Loved my experience there. Will definitely come back.

Was happy to see them open today. Waited outside in line for nearly an hour as the store rightfully followed the social distancing guidelines. The manager was asking people the purpose of the visit and directed them to the appropriate floor and was then stating that would be their sole visit for the day. When my time came, I was fire ted to another line where I waited almost 20 minutes. Upstairs I found the products I wanted carries my own bolts of fabric while i waited in yet another line with my arms dull.of items. I asked the person. For the ribbon I needed and was told that was downstairs. Following the social distance policy i asked the same person who let me in if I could get the ribbon or if I needed to pay and reenter. I was then informed that they were "not cutting ribbon today. I asked when they would be cutting it and was told to come in on a weekday. When i stated I couldn't because I work in a hospital and my only day was today or sunday, he just walked away, then turned around and said they cut elastic and I could use that. I said yes, but for myself, I needed ribbon because my ears were raw from.the elastic. He walked away to help someone purchase a sewing machine. The time he spent near the locked door he could have cut the yard of ribbon I wanted. So now, my colleagues will gave cotton make, and I'll wear the one provided by my employer !and I'll keep.applying a skin barrier behind my ears. Been shopping here for years. How sad that this is how you treat healthcare workers. Put ribbon upstairs where the material is. Will seriously reconsider shopping here.

A nice place ... and quiet, with good attention, with many products and good prices. It is far from the most common communities and shopping centers ... but I recommend it 100%!

I went to the one in Brooklyn near Kings Plaza, the store has 3 Floors. The first floor is art based. You find paint, brushes, glitter, and if your looking for a sewing machine this is the floor for it too. The second floor is fabric based. There are a lot of different styles. And the Basement floor is Yarn and bakery based. The reason why am giving it a 3 is because the service is not the best. I was told if " YOU TOUCH YOU BUY" from someone named Fabio or Fabian from the 3rd floor. I obviously answered back.Most of the employees need a little more life in them. I would kindly suggest that they be a more professional kind staff.

We were 2 families, on happy weekend shopping. Due to rudeness of the so called manager our experience was horrible. Besides not being helpful with finding us items needed , he had a terrible attitude when asked for help. He looked drunk as his eyes were popping out and a strong alcohol odor coming when he spoke. While we were looking on one of the items he stated that if you open you bay it. We were looking on the quality of the thread not even touch it. We left on first floor to pay almost $500 items and received by a cashier who told as that as per manager we need to pay fine for item open. It was very childish of him ripping off the plastic to make us pay. We refused and left all items on the counter and left extremely unhappy with this experience.

If I have a chance to not give a star I would do that , but no choice. We took a bus for like one hour to get there , and I we get there at 5.45 , they were already close , when we asked to get in a buy just one item , that why we get there for , the woman didn’t open the door . I can’t call her a lady , because she wasn’t act like one . The man was ok to open the door but she won’t let him do that . We always have a problems with workers over there , but close store probably 20-30 min before schedule, this is nonsense

Yes, they do have a huge selection of just about anything you need from scrapbooking to cake design and everything in between. The customer service is severely lacking, the entire staff need to be retrained. I found staff to be very rude, impatient and dismissive (like they are doing you a favor by answering any questions or assisting you). Pity because this location is convenient for me and the prices are reasonable on most items. I prefer to take the drive to long island to Joanns for a better customer experience with no attitudes.

I went to this store to look for particular yarn. The store has an amazing selection of yarn and although the location is somewhat remote it was worth the trip since i found what i was looking for and more BUT the staff, OMG i left so intimidated that i felt it was only fait to actually post a review right away, then i decided to wait bc i did not want to immediately react on the poor experience, bc the girl working on the yarn floor is so very unhelpful and with SO terrible attitude , that when i asked for a plastic bag bc i was planning to pick 30+ pcs of yarn, she was extremely difficult and unwilling to help and told me she cannot have yarn all over her register. When i finally manage to request a big plastic bag from a supervisor and get to the register to pay the girl started to count the yarn and to my suggestion while counting the yarn to put in second bag , i was told to Stop making things difficult. Very disturbing attitude from staff indeed unlike the other BK store and the UES one.

I went into Save A Thon store located on flatbush right by kings plaza on Wednesday spent 82 dollars had to put 5 dollars worth of stuff back because I didn't have enough the light skinned African american lady with the glasses started laughing at me I asked for help on a a trim she said with a attitude take it off the wall , mind u this was my first time at this particular fabric store so I didn't know how to detach the roll from the wall so I asked for her to help me she started to walk towards my direction really fast like I was bothering her from a line that no one was on, sighed and was mumbling under here breath so I said forget it walked off to pay for the items that I got. I have never wrote a review for any store mostly because of time and no level of severity but this is TOTALLY different this women was blatantly rude and nasty. I wish I didn't have to rate with a start in order to post

For the most part, I go to this store for yarn. There's a respectable selection of yarns, primarily from Red Heart, Bernat and Caron with some Lion Brand, Premier (Deborah Norville included), and Cascade mixed in. The prices aren't too bad; I've seen lower prices online, but when you order online you usually have to pay for shipping. It seems like shipping costs are included in their prices. They do have sales on yarn sometimes. Sadly, they do not carry some yarns that I consider pretty basic, like Lion Brand Vanna's Choice, Bernat Super Value (the last time I went, they had one skein of this in a a variegated color), Bernat Handicrafter Cotton, and Lily Sugar 'n' Cream yarn. Their selection of crochet hooks and knitting needles is pretty narrow too. The staff has always been helpful to me, though, even if some of them are not especially friendly. Craft stores are hard to find in this area, so it's nice to have this one.

Great for crafting! I get all of my fabric here since it's so cheap (compared to places like JoAnn's) and a big selection. Excellent service too. I'm a cosplayer and the selection is great for costumes.
