Searched for a good mechanic for 15 years. I’ll keep going back. (As a rule, I never give 5 stars)

We were so glad that when the catylitc converter was stolen out of our parked car, we found Mario's Auto Repair. Not only did they help us understand the insurance process, but they repaired the car late Friday afternoon so we could get home that night (to another state). Totally trustworthy and competent. Cannot recommend them enough!

I was referred to Mario’s by a neighborhood friend, and I am so grateful to have finally found an honest, skilled, and reasonably priced mechanic. I was having issues with my steering wheel violently shaking when I would drive at speeds over 50mph and was told by another shop I needed $6k in suspension repairs… I got about $4k of that done at that shop (felt no difference or improvement in my cars handling) but couldn’t afford the remainder for a few months, then brought my car to Mario’s for another opinion/to finish the suspension repairs and also take a look at my brake pads. Gary took the time to show me how to check my brake pads- he showed me they were pretty much brand new!

They determined I did not in fact need those additional suspension repairs at this time, but found out my tires weren’t balanced (or even rotated) when I got new rear tires 2-3 months ago, causing them to wear unevenly. They rotated and balanced my tires, and now my car has been handling perfectly for the past 3 weeks!!

Honestly, such a great experience. I am only going to bring my car here for repairs from now on.

I have been going to Mario for over 20yrs. Never had an issue with any repairs done on my vehicles over the years. Great trustworthy mechanic in the neighborhood.

These guys are awesome. I had to tow my car to Mario's shop after work last week, and he was nice enough to let me bring it in while his shop was about to close. The job was finished the next day, and he was very helpful and communicative during the process. Best mechanic i've ever been to. Peace.

Mari’s Auto Repair is hands down possibly one of the best shops you will visit . They are honest, straightforward, and never try to upsell unnecessary services. Mario was quick and also open a bit later than others, which helped me because I get off of work late. The pricing was really good. Going back to Mario for my next oil change!

Mario’s has been good to me in the past, but I’ve been trying for weeks to get in touch for an oil change and regular vehicle maintenance, and they will not answer my calls or texts. Not sure if the business even stills exists? Ended up using a different shop.

I was having issues with an older Infiniti and Mario and his team got me in and out within 24 hours! They were super detailed, honest, friendly, and fair pricing!!! Would recommend to anyone with new or older cars!!!!

Mario fixed me in one day. The Range Rover dealer wanted to charge me thousands of dollars to fix this issue. Mario saved me thousands. My Range Rover is running wonderfully. I will recommend if you are in Brooklyn or NYC and have any type of car issues especially “Diesel” call Mario. He is saved in my contacts for life, thanks Mario!

MARIO IS YOUR NEW MECHANIC. This is the guy! Took my old Toyota 4Runner to Mario’s when the steering/brakes were making crazy noise. He checked it there in front of me, couldn’t find a problem but offered to keep it overnight so he could check it when the car was cold. Turns out it was minor issue with new brake pads in an old car. When I picked it up he didn’t charge me anything. Super decent guy, a rare find. I’ll be going to him for all my mechanic needs in future- he has my customer loyalty for life! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Showed up on a random Friday morning with a coolant leak. They were booked solid all day but Mario agreed to check my van. Mario's brother found a burst tube fast and had my toddler and I on our way in about an hour. These guys kept it professional affordable and gave me the peace of mind to go about the rest of my day. Thank you!

Personal opinion - integrity lives here and I’ll tell you why below.

I Bought a used car w/ 13K miles and the dealer did an inspection (1/21/24). Decided to take the car to Mario two days after and he didn’t put it up, cool. He did a visual, confirmed the mileage, noted the fresh inspection sticker and said no need - the car is brand new.

Instead of charging me unnecessarily he advised me to come back when the maintenance light comes on (ex oil change) and we can do the next inspection then. Mentioned to avoid the potholes and sent me on my way!

I look forward to coming back for an oil change and ALL maintenance needs to keep my car running. Thank you, Mario!

As a woman I always worry that auto shops are going to scam me or charge me higher. I highly recommend Mario's! Fixed the two issues with my Prius very quickly! Labor and parts very reasonable! Will definitely come back to Mario's if I ever have anything to repair. Thank you!!!

Went to get an inspection - they were quick, transparent, and good. They told me that I should change my rear break pads on my next oil change, without trying to get me to do it with them. Had gone to another shop earlier and after a one day wait, they told me I had all sorts of issues, which wasn't the case at Mario's. Glad I went to this workshop. Recommend!

I went into the shop the other day with a problem with my car. I didn't have an appt. I left the car there and they called the same day with an estimate. My tires were super old and needed to be replaced. One of them had bulged out causing the noticeable issue in the ride. They finished the job the same day and I picked it up that evening. They had great communication the entire time. They were honest and clear about the price and the work. They did a great job. Mario even texted me a minute ago to make sure that there were no issues and I was happy with the work. These guys are going to be my mechanics from now on.

Update: I need a brake job. They won't respond to my texts and no one picks up the phone. I also needed work on the door of my car and they never responded to me. Too bad. I have to go to another mechanic. Not sure what's going on over there.

I've been having my car serviced at Mario's for 1.5yrs now and only have positive things to say about them. They are extremely knowledgeable about what they do, communicative, timely, and honest. I have gotten my annual inspection, oil change, new tires, tires rotated, and a handful of other things with them. I love having a mechanic I can trust and highly recommend Mario's.

Mario’s is the best! A rare mechanic who has reasonable prices, a friendly staff, and does honest work! He fixed my AC compressor and brakes and also took care of regular maintenance super quickly. The price was half what the dealer wanted to charge.

I recently became a car owner and needed a reliable mechanic. I am SO happy to find Mario’s! Professional and courteous from start to finish. Excellent communication and customer service. I was kept in the loop and told prices before the work was done. An added treat was a follow up message to make sure I was happy and the car was running smoothly. Wow!!! FTR I have a Smart Car and not all mechanics know these cars. I highly recommend this place. Thank you Mario!

Mario is probably the most honest mechanic in Brooklyn. I've gone to him several times and will keep going back. His prices can't be beat, the service is incredible/very high quality, and he's even recommended cheaper DIY alternatives vs. charging me for labor when repairs are minor and easy to do without a lot of tools/expertise. Family owned/run, and all of them are super nice and responsive. Highly recommend

Extremely satisfied with my experience. Dropped off my car as soon as I realized there was a problem. Shortly after I left, Gary notified me that it was the rack and pinion. The price was great. Timing was fast. Communication was awesome. Grateful to Mario’s team. I’ll definitely recommend them to friends!

The staff is very helpful and everyone was pleasant and kind. They offered a great price for what our car needed (all 4 tires replaced) and it was done about 4 hours earlier than expected. We will continue to go to Mario’s for all of our car needs!

I have such a hard time finding trustworthy auto service places and this is the best I’ve found by far! My catalytic converter was stolen and Mario and his daughter knew exactly what was going on right away and were able to talk me through the process. They were amazing every step of the way, even in dealing with the insurance company, and so helpful in communicating throughout. Could not recommend more and I will definitely be returning anytime I need help with my car!

I had a rear side window that needed replacing. Mario and his team were super quick to get my vehicle into the shop and completed the repair quickly. The price was what I would expect for the the job. He even sent a follow up text to make sure everything was going well a few days later. Would definitely bring my car back again!
