The shop is ok. I replaced oil there once and it was good. They are quick and do not overcharge. I replaced oil there a month ago and this caused my VW Golf to be sluggish and weak. I brought the car back to them - nothing, everything is fine, use more expensive gas. I took the car to another mechanic - same, everything is fine. It took extensive AI conversations to diagnose the issue myself - they overfilled the oil and for VW’s that an issue. For a VW i’d suggest going to a specialist instead.

Simply the best service station in brooklyn. Mario and his son's are simply the best They will help anyone from anyplace that goes there and I know for a fact because I have been a local customer for 40 years.

Great experience. They gave me a quote few weeks ago, today I went and it was significantly more expensive but they honor the initial quote they gave me - no questions asked.

I'd been looking for a local shop to take my car for a while, but with the sheer number it was difficult to decide until I came across Salerno. Everyone there is so friendly and helpful, which makes a huge difference for me. I also did not feel like they assumed I know nothing about cars (which is often the case as a woman until I start talking about what I DO know). They were very quick to look at what was needed, gather the parts, and the next day get the car done same-day. I find the prices to be very reasonable, especially compared to what the dealer quoted me for the same exact repair. Salerno was also way more thorough than the dealer on looking at what I pinpointed as concerns, and fixed exactly what I suspected was the issue. I'll note that I pointed out the same exact issue to the dealer, and it was absolutely overlooked. Definitely will be taking my car to Salerno for all future repairs! Edit to add: When I first came in, I had my dog with me, and everyone loved him - he even got his weight in treats from the guys!

I have nothing but positive things to say about this place. They were communicative, friendly, efficient, knowledgeable, and did great work on my car. Highly recommended!

I got into my first accident in NYC and didn't know where to go, I'm so grateful that I went to Salerno Body Shop. I would specifically like to thank Mario, Sal, and Derek. They helped me figure out how to manage my insurance claim with Geico, kept me informed every step of the way with parts delivery, and were so gracious and accommodating. BEWARE WILL FORCE AUTOMATIC NYS INSPECTION FAIL!!!! Went in for a NY inspection. They claimed I will fail if I dont replace my wipers (which were fine and not torn the the day before. I would be aware if my wipers were torn and flapping around when I use them, but "somehow were torn" when I left the shop, WAS CUT BY A RAZOR BLADE OF SOME KIND) and my cabin filter. Let me know which law claims I need my cabin filter changed for an inspection to pass. Just because I'm a female doesn't mean you can try to cheat me. BEWARE cause they tried scaring me by failing my inspection. They let me go without the "fail" because I told them I have replacements for both parts at home. Was an emergency stop, and I went to my regular machanic. Which they confirmed my wipers were foul played and was ALMOST SCAMMED. UPDATE: Lord and behold: my battery was disconnected. Which meant it was an automatic fail if I didn't buy their equipment, especially if I were to go to a different body shop. That's amazing. And you're right, I shouldn't have waited for the last day so I CAN AVOID SCAMMERS. My fustration comes from the fact that I was being cheated because I'm a female. I was lucky enough not to fall as your prey, and I am determined to help non locals make an informed decision.

Salerno's Auto Body Shop came highly recommended by my mechanic, and they absolutely exceeded my expectations. From first contact to pickup, Sal was very communicative, explained the entire process, and kept me updated throughout. I brought my Wrangler in after it was hit and had damage to the fender and rim. Sal made the whole insurance process seamless. When I picked up my car, it looked brand new and was even detailed! I 100% recommend Salerno's — excellent service and definitely a 5-star experience.

Salernos is the absolute best. Fixed my car beautifully and dealt with insurance for me. They were even able to get my deductible down to nothing. The car even came back detailed. I wouldn’t take my car to anyone else again!!

[OVER THE TOP] We communicated throughout the repair process. The repairs were done in a timely matter and I was on my way back home in little under two weeks. Upon picking up my vehicle from Derek i passed right by my parked car. Meaning I didn’t even recognize my vehicle due to the Excellent work that was done. My Vehicle looked like it came off the dealership showroom floor. Brought tears to my eyes because of the care that was applied. Detailed interior/exterior engine and all. I never leave reviews, but Salerno Auto Body warrants an exception. My new car had a break-in with major damage to 2 panels, and they towed it within an hour on a Sunday, reached out frequently with updates, dealt with my insurance company 100%, did the repairs perfectly and quickly, detailed the interior, and threw in a free side mirror just because they ordered the part for someone else who didn’t end up coming in for it. (Mine was knocked off in a separate hit-and-run, and I’d been quoted $800 for the repair by another shop previously.) Makes me almost glad to have gotten robbed, because finding a mechanic and body shop this good is priceless.

I grew up in this area and have always known many people who bring their cars here for excellent service, including my family and friends' families (for three generations). The team here is knowledgeable, professional, friendly, and above all, honest. A few months back, my car broke down while I was out of state. After receiving the run-around from my dealership and another mechanic, neither of whom could diagnose the issue, I took my car to Salerno's as soon as I could. They identified the problem within an hour and charged me a very fair price. I’m not sure if this has been highlighted in other reviews, but this shop also engages in generous acts of charity for the community, such as donating toys and goods to childcare centers, senior homes, food pantries, and schools. Their commitment to giving back is truly commendable, and I will always recommend them!!

When my parked car got hit, I filed my insurance claim and they set me up with Salerno's for repairs. Sal called me himself and went out of his way to communicate with speed and clarity. He was such a gem to work with -- so nice and so responsive and even kept my car in the shop until I was back from my vacation. The car looks absolutely beautiful now, and pickup was easy and fast. Lovely people. Also, Fortunato's is right next door, so enjoy the neighborhood ;)

Great friendly service. Sal took my car after it was sideswiped and got to work right away. He helped me with the company handling my claim as well as with getting a rental car. This place is a family own business. As the first owner God rest his soul always had a warm heart and a beautiful humble smile to always greet anyone passing by. A business now run by his son Mario & his children who are following the same foot steps. How can I put it a business with loyalty goes a million miles. For people will always follow and appreciate them for their good business. This is history of nothing more then good for service not only the community but I drive from the Bronx even for an oil change, why I trust my work is going to be good on my car. God bless them!

Unfortunately, this isn’t my first time dealing with an auto body shop. Thankfully , I came across Salerno’s and they surpassed any previous expectation and encounters I’ve had prior to them from other body shops . During Xmas 2020, through the holiday mania , my car was taken in quickly . Service was amazing from the very beginning , with phone call that answered any questions I’ve had and updates throughout the holiday and lastly , my car . After fixing my car, that was hit by drunk driver while parked . Salerno did an excellent job! Excellent paint job . And even detailed the interior and exterior ! Thank you for making this situation a whole lot easier and immaculate work . I’ll return very soon to detail my 2nd car. You guys really did a great job cleaning my Corolla engine. I was T-boned by a Chinatown bus..... and the family at Salerno, made it look like it never happened. matter fact it looks like how I bought it....detailed it and everything! Hey even the gas prices there are reasonable too. I don't trust people too much. but I'll trust them with this car forever.

This shop did fantastic work on my BMW 5 series. Car looks brand new! Sal, Mario and his team go above and beyond for all their customers. They pay attention to minimal detail and get the job done. Highly recommended.
