This rating is based on customer reviews, inventory size, pricing, and service quality
Based on the latest reviews, Apex Towing LLC in Brooklyn, NY earns an overall 95/100. Sentiment is strongly positive: customers praise professional, careful drivers (often Anthony), fast ETAs (15–30 minutes or faster), clear communication, and safe handling of AWD and luxury cars, even tricky garage or flood recoveries. Pricing is usually called fair, though a few complaints cite unexpectedly high bills and one report of damage with poor follow‑up—so costs and aftercare can vary. Wait times are short and service is reliable. No clear data on parts, inventory, or yard organization.

Keep up the good work !
They charged me $400 to tow a car with a dead battery from Gowanus to their garage in Sheepshead Bay. That is far above the going rate for a basic tow. Most towing companies in New York City charge a base fee in the range of $75 to $150, with per-mile rates usually between $2 and $5 per mile after the first few miles. For a standard tow between Gowanus and Sheepshead Bay, which is approximately 9-10 miles, the expected total cost would generally fall between $125 and $250--even accounting for standard mileage charges and minor add-ons like late night or weekend fees. (my tow was on a weekday, late afternoon).
Towing fees in NYC are frequently cited to average $150 for similar jobs, and even the upper end of published ranges rarely approaches $400 unless specialized equipment or services (like winching or accident recovery) were needed.
Reputable providers typically operate within the ranges listed above.
After calling around and feeling like no one was willing to help, I was convinced my situation was impossible. My car was stuck in a super tight, low-clearance garage, with a curve and a ramp going below ground level. Every company I reached out to backed away except this one.
Anthony showed up on my schedule, assessed everything quickly, and figured out the smartest, safest way to get my car out. He was efficient, confident, and done in minutes. He secured my car and hauled it to my mechanic long distance. I was stressed about my car being stuck & finally turned stress-free in this moment. He made the whole process look so smooth and easy. If you need a tow, especially a tricky one, don’t even hesitate! This company is amazing! Highly, highly recommended.
