This rating is based on customer reviews, inventory size, pricing, and service quality
Empire State Junk Removal Brooklyn in Brooklyn, NY scores an overall 92/100. Reviews are largely positive: crews are professional, careful with homes, prompt for most jobs, and work efficiently; same‑day service and easy online booking stand out. Several note responsible disposal. Strengths include respectful service, clear explanations, and tidy work. Complaints: one serious case of missed time windows, shifting ETAs, and pricing confusion; another says it’s not the cheapest. Pricing feels fair but not bargain. Yard/parts browsing doesn’t apply to this service. Feedback volume is limited but trends positive.
I needed a junk removal service after moving, and this was exactly the kind of help I was hoping for. There were random things left behind that I couldn’t fit in my car, including broken shelves, old chairs, bags of clutter, and a few bulky pieces. The team arrived on time, explained the process clearly, and handled everything without making a mess. They were polite, efficient, and careful with the building. It felt like a huge weight was lifted once everything was gone.
My mother inquired about getting a bed WITH a mattress and a TV taken away & was quoted $325 by Empire State Junk Removal. She went ahead and made an appointment with a time window of 8am-10am. The day of the appointment, my mom called around 7:45am to confirm the window time and was told the driver would call 30 minutes prior to arrival. At 10:15am, we hadn't heard from them so WE call and were told they would arrive around 11:30am-12:00pm the latest, which was already frustrating as it was way past our appointment window and we had other plans for the day. We thought this would be completed by this point but we understood that things happen. 12:00pm comes and goes so we call back at 12:15pm and we are told they would arrive in 15 minutes. 12:45pm comes and goes. At this point, we are frustrated that they keep telling us a different time so we decide to call them to cancel altogether. At 12:50pm, they call back to tell us they are "a few blocks away". We agree to allow them to come and ask if there was any discount we can get for the inconvenience. The lady on the phone says she would have to ask her manager but the manager is not in. After a few complaints, she is all of a sudden able to ask the manager who says no because "we were told about the delay in the morning." Mind you - we were told about the delay after WE called to check in 15 minutes after our window time ended. At this point, it's already past 1:00pm and they are still not there. When they FINALLY arrived, they come to look at the items and tell my mother it's going to cost $400 because we never told them about the mattress which she did. She texted them pictures and told them about the mattress. I told him she was quoted $325 for the items in which he said he would "do us a favor and give us a great deal" and take the items + a small cabinet away for $325 (the original price she was already expecting). This company is filled with continuous lies from both the reception and driver & deception with prices and try to mask it as if they are "giving you a deal" and they absolutely do not respect your time and lie about when they will show up. The only positive thing I will say is that the two men who came were apologetic and finished the job within 20 minutes. But I would absolutely NOT recommend this company.
Empire State Junk Removal delivered top-notch appliance removal service with professionalism and efficiency. Their team arrived promptly, handled the appliances with care, and ensured environmentally responsible disposal. I highly recommend them for hassle-free appliance removal needs.
Would use this service again when seeking speedy closure. Not a bargain, but the reliable, thoughtful same-day service was much appreciated. The online booking was great as well - easy and accurate.
