I am writing to express my strong dissatisfaction with the two employees working today. Their service was extremely disappointing. Instead of stepping outside with the scanner to properly check the issue with my car, they simply told me the scanner was not working. They showed no effort to help and came across as lazy and unwilling to assist.
Additionally, their attitude was rude and dismissive. Rather than offering a solution, they just sent me to another store without even trying to verify the problem themselves. As a customer, I expected basic professionalism and support, but unfortunately, that was not the case during my visit today.
Last week, two young men working the front refused to test a battery saying "we have an old system it's down after 6pm" to avoid doing their jobs; the system is a handheld, it takes five minutes. The store was empty. Thankfully the AutoZone a mile up Utica Ave was open and willing to help.
I needed a new battery plus installation. I called ahead to confirm they had the staff available to install it. The salesperson did confirm they could do it. When I got there, he sold me the battery and then told me they didn't have anyone to install it. He said I didn't understand what he said over the phone. I called the AutoZone 575 Utica Ave, talked to the manager explaining the situation and they apologized on behalf of this employee and guaranteed me they would install the battery. I returned the battery here and purchased from 575 Utica Ave: they installed it super quickly.
I personally don't recommend this location; you are better off driving to 575 Utica Ave which is only 1.2 miles away.
They didn't want t take my return end I didn't tush what I buy end I tuck it back cous didn't need it end they didn't want t give me my money back which it was $3.22
Stupid manager on 1/12/26 at 10am did not want to exchange the battery that i purchased. First it was i cant exchange it, no reason given. Then went directly to the manager and all of a suden its if its a bad battery and i told her if he told u the story thats what it is. She saw the recipe and said no have to go back to the store i went to.. when i came back to the store i went to purchase it, they said i can go to any store.. manager didnt wanna do her job like the battery coming out of her paycheck.
I’m genuinely disappointed to be writing this about my neighborhood AutoZone, where I’ve been a loyal customer for a long time. On this visit, I came in urgently needing parts because I was driving with a faulty wheel. I provided the clerk with my car’s make and model, but he seemed inexperienced and confused. After some back-and-forth, he incorrectly told me that the items I needed were not in stock.
I left and went to another AutoZone in the area, and here’s the kicker: I was able to purchase those exact items there. But when I returned to the original store that same evening to pick them up—because they were in fact in stock there all along—the senior clerk was incredibly rude and even asked me if I was “going to cry about it”, started name calling and proceeded to attack my appearance. All of this in front of other customers, yelling in the store. My response was simply , Merry Christmas. It was shockingly dismissive and condescending. Aisha - mentioned here in previous comments before is VERY comfortable with disrespecting customers and talking to them nasty.
This level of unprofessional behavior is unacceptable for any customer service role. If this person is a manager, they either need retraining or to be replaced. It’s clear this store has an ongoing problem, as more than one person has experienced similar issues. I hope they seriously address their customer service, because this was beyond disappointing.
The people working there are not customer friendly. They do not a good job at finding the right part for the car and they.are.argumenttatove and bully customers between 3.people at once. I felt intimated and not.helped
Very bad service and a guy called darryl Faulkner very impolite trying to return something and didn’t want to help and talking shit about my person with other team like I don’t understand English this guy is very tough guy .?
Manager name Aisha didn’t even help at the desk first answer was go back to the store u bought. When I had call and ask if I can return any store my starter. She keep walking away and ignore when she’s been call . Don’t even have the intention to help a customer n worry about goin to lunch not even lunch smoke and handout wit the mechanics workers . When it’s juts 12:25 pm . Never come to ask for help from the manager at this store . She will send you to another store . So disappointed to my neighbor store.
Went to purchase a car battery and was told I could pay 1 of the guys outside to install it. Does autozone not provide this service for free? As dirty as yall shirts are, you’re telling me that after I cough up $250, I gotta pay the stalkers outside the store to put in the battery? FOH. I’ll spend my bread somewhere else.

I only went to this location because my local one didn’t seem to have what I needed. I walk in there is one person at the register on the phone I ask is this where I go for online pick up he responded just a minute. I waited a while with my elderly dad. After a while a female employee comes over to the register I asked do you need to scan the upc code on the app she responded no what’s the name I give it to her after a couple of minutes comes over and said I don’t have an item on your receipt. I said the website showed you guys had it and that’s why I’m here and not the local AutoZone. She said we can refund the order I then said that I’ll take the refund. She then walks away and abruptly says I have it. At that point I was getting furious she then brings a wrong oil different from the one I paid for. She was saying that’s the one you get I said I don’t care I want the one I paid for. She then said to another person who showed up that she can’t anymore. The next person looked over the receipt several times scanned the items walked around the counter and walked away without saying you guys are set. I will never go to that location again and wouldn’t recommend anyone shops there. What a horrible experience
Unprofessional and horrible customer service the Manager name Aisha she is so rude at the desk first answer was go back to reorder it online ( O SENSOR 2) can’t exchange here even with receipt and everything . Never come to ask for help at this store she or they will send you to another store right away . So disappointed I don’t recommend it at all
Bad experience asked to get my battery charged and the lady said I have to test it first . The battery tester looked hurt The alligator clips was warn . When she went to test it she said it only takes duralast battery’s basically and wouldn’t charge my battery
1- they made me install my own battery with no help but they did give me the tools to do it luckily I am handy
2- I came to replace my battery that had warranty they replaced it with a bad battery with damaged threads
3- they're always understaffed and will not do the work themselves
My battery died today and I went to this AutoZone to get a new one. The guy who helped me was friendly and patient. I think his name is Jah. He replaced my battery quickly and easily. I wish I had some cash on me to give him a tip. I really appreciated his help. Give that man a raise!
When I visit Auto Zone, I feel like they care about helping you find what you need for your car and not trying to Rob you, like Peepboys on 3rd Ave in Brooklyn. They go the extra mile and inform you of the right parts or products as well. Auto zone wins handdown. the place. ladies, get your car parts here they are more than the best. that's just my opinion.
This Autozone really needs to get its store together....this is the 2nd time in a few months you come here and they say they are not open...no explanation no apology just someone in the store waving you off saying not open..BAD BUSINESS..from the attached pics i got there after 8am..the store opens at 730am
I needed car battery for my 2013 honda Ridgeline,mine died on me 1day ago, I search for best prices and deals online ,and came up with AutoZone.There we're 3 try different kinds,but I found the one with the best features suited to my needs and bought the Duralast Gold.Its a much better battery I was told and it has more cranking power than my original Honda battery.Thanks again for reading my feedback on the places where I go to purchase items or simply just travel .
the staff was very nice and always asks if you need any help , the lady by the cashier she is so rude and agressif I don’t think I will be there for my next purchase’s, she make me feel not safe , I will go somewhere because I love auto zone ? I like the warranty on the tools ?
My husband and I were looking for a replacement battery and Jim overheard us talking & didn’t hesitate to help us. He even went above & beyond to help place the battery. We were out of the parking lot in less than 10 mins. He is very knowledgeable & attentive. This auto-zone is quite far from home but wouldn’t hesitate to make the trip. Overall outstanding service.
Very convenient store, friendly staff always want to help you and get what you need , I went there the other day to check a battery for my car I have a 2018 Honda I call the company they say I only have 36 months warranty on it ,my car is 37 months old they give me the runaround if I buy the battery they prorated and I have to pay almost full price for my new battery and it will not last long like the one that just went bad , a battery in a new car should last longer, my simple opinion, so I ask the clerk and he was very efficient show me the different batteries that they have, prices , warranties and got a Duralast gold warranty for 36 months full change 5 years prorated ,I have had one of this brand and last me years and years so I think I have made a good decision , I personal think this particular battery is to small and that’s part of the problem a company like that should make parts more affordable and better that’s unbelievable something that is warranty for 36 months and go bad after 37 months how they know this stuff Japanese very stingy. So my time at the store was a pleasant time thanks god for this place and people they go the extra mile to help you with what you need, I will be back there soon , nice work keep treating the customers like that and they have to come back to your store and get what they need thankyou again.
A well run facility with plenty of helpful staff. This is the most convenient location to purchase materials from because of the great service, knowledgeable staff and longer service hours than other locations. However when you call, you can be left waiting for a long time: An issue that is not experienced when calling other franchises in the borough.
I can’t tell you how much I appreciate the Store Manager Name Kevon. He was such a big help when I was in a dilemma. He went above and beyond to make sure his customer was good and back on the road when I had a problem with my Alternator. The customer service was great, store was well organized and clean. Thanks again AutoZone Team!!
The staff was very helpful. Well 1 gentleman in particular. Although I approached his counter time and again during my visit, his patience never waned and he remained helpful and gracious. The gentlemen out front are extremely helpful and knowledgeable. I will be back soon.
