Amazing service. Serviced and inspected my car by them instead of my dealership. The convenience alone was worth it, but the price was even better. They are true professionals and my car feels new again. 10 /10 highly recommend

Eddie towed my car while I got out to help my handicapped daughter with her luggage, then demanded $50 cash. Criminal business and no oversight— very unfair considering we were at JFK picking up loved ones. The area is marked “no standing-only active loading and unloading” and we were actively loading, not standing. The tow truck was waiting to prey on people hugging their family members. Update 11/6/25: the reply from the owners is unacceptable and their lack of taking responsibility for this abuse confirms the point of my review. this business should be investigated.

BE AWARE about this towing company and the 7-Eleven at 2800 Coney Island Ave, Brooklyn. The entire towing process was carried out with multiple violations of NYC Administrative Code §19-169.1, including the lack of proper written authorization and an unlawful ‘drop fee’ above the legal maximum of $62.50. At the scene, they demanded $150 in cash, even though their own posted sign says $62.50. When you point out the discrepancy, the driver pressures you to ‘just pay $150 now and sort it out later with the company.’ Once you go to the company, they issue a partial refund but make you sign a Hold Harmless Agreement, calling it a ‘tariff mistake’ — while in reality you were overcharged for what they classify as an "impound". These steps are not random — they are carefully orchestrated, from the inflated demand on the street, to the pressure to pay cash immediately, to the refund process that shields the company from future claims. They count on people being unaware of the law or too intimidated to fight back. If this happens to you: dispute the charge ( may call police at the scene); demand your refund (if already paid), and know that you have the right to challenge it further through DCWP or Small Claims Court if you choose. Do not let them intimidate you — this is a system, not a mistake.

🚫 Terrible and unprofessional experience! 🚫 I parked at this lot for just a few minutes because the other store’s parking was full. Within 7 minutes, a tow truck arrived and illegally blocked my car, demanding $150 cash to release it. The driver was extremely rude, shouted at us, and refused to provide any official paperwork or proof of violation. When I asked for camera footage as evidence (since he claimed he had been waiting for us for 20 minutes, which was untrue), he admitted there were no cameras and still refused to show any proof. This felt like pure harassment and extortion, not a legitimate towing service. ⚠️ Be very careful — they operate in a dishonest and aggressive way. I do NOT recommend this company, and I believe their practices are illegal.

The staff are extremely disrespectful. They were being antisemitic towards me being Jewish and then even chased me down the block trying to assault me after I called them out on their illegal practices. I called the police and obviously i will be pressing charges against the establishment. I would never recommend this place to anyone and also never their towing company either. STAY CLEAR!!!!

My car was parked in a legal parking spot at JFK's Long Term Lot but the mall cop was on a power trip and said I could not park there even though the signs said no parking after August 12th (it was July but he didn't realize that we are not even in the correct month since he was on a power trip). The mall cop will call Ben & Nino to get your car towed and when you ask the Port Authority, they will say they didn't do this. Then the lady on the phone at Ben & Nino will argue with you and tell you that Port Authority approved it (which they didn't) and they even forge signatures on the tow consent form in order to make it look like it was approved. When you ask them who is the police officer that approved this, they will say they don't know their name. If your car was towed illegally, file a complaint with the NYC Department of Consumer and Worker Protection (DCWP) and they will be required to respond and come up with a resolution. This is what I did and I got my money back! They still act like they didn't do anything wrong, but they should have verified first that the tow was legal prior to doing it. They just want to make some extra money and hope that most people don't know that we have a consumer protection bureau that will help. Don't let them get away with it. Take the time to file your complaint!

Watch out with this towing company! So careless with people cars ! Broke my entire car I only had to do a paint job now I have to spend money to fix my entire car I just got a few days ago so I had a way to make it around to my newborn doctors appointments! Same story as others. Would give this company a 0 if I could. Unloading luggage and car seats dropping my family off at terminal 5 at JFK. I carried the car seat to the sidewalk, turned around and the guy was already loading the rental car on the towing rig. I felt like I was extorted for $50. It was $50 cash now or they would tow the rental car and I would miss my flight. They're running a scam targeting families with little kids, elderly people or disabled people. Basically any situation where the driver steps out of the car to help passenger carry luggage to sidewalk.

WATCH OUT, they will tow your car at JFK if you turn around. We flew in with a family of 6, and they put the hook under my dad's car when we were loading the car behind it. The driver literally picked up the car as my dad was asking him what he was doing. They charged us $50 cash to put the car down. It felt like some sort of scam.

Stay far away from Ben and Nino’s Shop, they are nothing but scammers. From the moment I walked in, they started pushing me to use my insurance, clearly trying to profit off my situation. I wanted to pay for the repairs out of pocket, but their manager, Sam (probably one of the owner’s son or …), kept pressuring me for days. When I refused, they gave me a ridiculously inflated estimate full of parts I didn’t need. Sam couldn’t even explain some of the parts on the list because he had no idea what he was talking about. It was obvious they were trying to scare me into using my insurance. When I decided to take my car elsewhere, they hit me with outrageous charges: $1,100 for towing (the real cost was $175) and unnecessary diagnostics. On top of that, they deliberately hid my headlight modules and only returned them after I called and yelled at them. Worst of all, they gave me the wrong headlight modules—blue ones instead of the original white. This place is run by liars and crooks who don’t care about you or your car—just about how much money they can squeeze out of you. Sam, in particular, was unprofessional, incompetent, and completely clueless. Don’t waste your time or money here; they’ll only make your bad situation worse.

I called needing a receipt for the tow so a business expense can be logged, and they told me they don’t keep any records of their receipts or who has been towed at their lot. I'm pretty sure you need to keep documents for five years in case of an audit, but I’m sure the Port Authority is benefiting from these people since they are towing cars even when the owner is at the vehicle.

After briefly stopping in the passenger pick-up area at Terminal 7—an area clearly designated for such purposes— It’s true that I left my car unattended for less than a minute to help my arriving daughter with the luggage who was pregnant. In this incredibly brief window, Ben & Nino Auto Repair Inc. managed to tow my vehicle with startling efficiency. The fact that my car was towed within seconds of my departure indicates not a focus on ensuring compliance, but rather a ruthless pursuit of revenue, I ran up to the driver and said that I was right within few feet of the vehicle and asked for reconsidering the decision, but he was ruthless and asked me to come to the office to get the vehicle. This kind of predatory behavior is both shocking and unacceptable. Questionable Legitimacy of Towing Authority…. What adds to the complexity to this situation is the dubious legitimacy of Ben & Nino Auto Repair Inc. as a towing authority at JFK Airport. There is substantial uncertainty about whether this company is even legally authorized to perform towing services in this area. The lack of clear, visible identification or official documentation at the scene raises serious questions about their operational legitimacy. If Ben & Nino Auto Repair Inc. is indeed not properly accredited or authorized, their actions could constitute a severe violation of legal and regulatory standards. Extortionate Fees and Lack of Transparency…The fees levied by Ben & Nino Auto Repair Inc. for the release of my vehicle were exorbitant and outrageous to the tune of $ 160.00. The sudden imposition of such steep charges was a blatant exploitation of travelers' vulnerability. Furthermore, the fee structure was shrouded in opacity. There was no clear signage or advance warning about the costs associated with towing and impoundment. This lack of transparency is not only misleading but also places an undue financial burden on passengers, who are already in a stressful situation. The actions and practices of Ben & Nino Auto Repair Inc. at JFK Terminal 7 are nothing short of scandalous. Their predatory towing practices, questionable legal authority, extortionate fees, unprofessional staff, reflect a gross abuse of power and a blatant disregard for the welfare of travelers. I strongly urge JFK Airport authorities to conduct a thorough investigation into this company’s operations and to take immediate action to rectify these egregious issues. This company needs to be shut down. I came out of my car to hug my relative goodbye and assist with her luggage at the departure terminal; within a few minutes this company already had their tow on my van even though I was right there telling the driver it’s my vehicle. He demanded $50 for the release, cash only. The numerous negative reviews do not lie; don’t fall for the very few positive feedbacks. Shut them down!

I had a horrible experience with them! they had my car to get it fixed. They didn’t fix it then I had to take it so many times and still they did a bad job now I have to pay out of my pocket and take to another place to get it fixed. do not take your cars there.

this business is a scam!! within a blink of an eye, after saying goodbye to a loved one, they come swooping in without leaving any info behind of who to contact and how to get your vehicle back. $180 to pick up the vehicle 5 minutes away from the terminals to be met by some disrespectful rude people. the people are nasty and the business is as well. folks if you leave your car unattended at JFK terminals Ben & Nino’s is likely the place it’ll be. Absolute scammers. Picking my elderly parents from JFK airport. Got out of the car to grab their bags and as I turn around “Omar” had my car up and threatening to tow it if I didn’t pay $50 in cash. Disgusting human beings. And broke. The low life didn’t even have $20 change. This company needs to be investigated and shut DOWN.

I don’t know what all these 1star review’s about, I think this company excels at the service they provide: robbing people off at jfk. Was seeing off my parents today and dude started loading my car right in front me. He didn’t have any change so I actually paid him 60 instead of 50, thanking him for his amazing service now he’s got 10 bucks extra to feed his family (which I imagine haven’t got robbed by Ben&Nino) Folks when you want to leave your car to help your friends/family at the airport, just KEEP THE TRUNK OPEN!!!!

If I can submit a zero star I would and also this type of business is really not right I drop off my parents at this terminal. When I helped them drop off their luggage car is gone for cash grab business. They don't accept credit or any type of card payment if you're not from NY. Luckily I have Venmo to pay to redeem my car back! Watch your car out before you leave for a second. They hunting cars for cash!! If you can lift your with you you should. Scammers!!This is the most terrible company!! They will deceive you and add themselves extra days!! Their employee handed me the keys and told me I could take the car! After this company writes to the police saying that I stole this car .Plus they left a dent on my car. Instead of $220 I paid $560!(I picked up the car on April 5, and they made storage until April 12)

This company and system is a scam - while loading passengers at jfk - my mother helped me and my baby get our luggage and gave us a hug. At an airport. Where people are picking up their loved ones…. They lift and try to tow your car and demand cash only $50 to release it. No paperwork. Refused all other forms of payment. We got a police officer and port authority involved and magically they start lying that they said we could have paid via Zelle or credit card. It’s extortion and preying on people. It’s not leaving your car unattended to help load and unload a passenger at a designated pick up with no signs informing of policy Scam. criminal activity. Plain and simple. This is a disgrace.

About JFK Towing Terminal 1 Very unprofessional work and ethics on their job at our International JFK airport. There are no issues with the towing( 12 + cars there they "randomly picked mine with CT licenses ...o yes its believed, lol ).On the other hand, there is no phone number where to call back them or any letter to say something about the location where I can get back the car or fees included. 2. They did not accept debit cards?? We are going AI, and still, we have companies ONLY cash 💸? 3. Behavior rude from Uncel Issac :" 160 cash, 180 with card and 50 $ a day for staying here. 4. Directions from JFK to their parking lot are very difficult. There are NO instructions at all( lucky Uber driver found out, if you are lone you stuck forever looking for that palce/building 180) 5. Office personnel with force took the signing letter. Unethical/arrogant person. 6. On their "invoice," it says $100, but when you go, the price goes up 160 cash ONLY. 7. They towed my car in 5 minutes and asked for $250 cash, and the next day my car was standing in the middle of the street, I have video and photos, soon we will show everyone them on Instagram and Tik Tok (from employee to boss) and the department is aware and very there will be results soon! If you don't make a full refund today, I will start a case

They are thieves and scammers! They towed my vehicle just in a minute while I was dropping a passenger at Terminal 4. Be careful, they stand there and watch who leaves the car for even one minute. One minute is enough for a dirty, bad-smelling guy who immediately tows your car. Then they start extorting money from you, even if you got back into the car. This is a criminal business, be careful!

Really, really appreciate the help that was provided to us by Ben & Nino Auto for a battery jump this week. Landed at JFK late at night after 24 hours of travel to find a dead battery in our car in long term parking. I didn’t get the gentleman’s name that showed up to help us, but he was able to diagnose the issue with the hybrid battery, fix it, and then continued to help us load our bags and wait to make sure we got out ok. Really great customer service and care.

I unloaded my parents luggage and I got in the car to go park in the parking lot... This guy comes up front of me and tows me while I'm in the car. When I yelled at him... He demanded $50. The traffic management crew was pointing the car behind me to tow but instead he towed mine. He refused to put my car down unless I pay him "cash". This is so ethical and illegal. Terrible Experience at Ben and Nino Auto Service I had an absolutely horrendous experience at Ben and Nino Auto Service with my car cannot emphasize enough how disappointing their service was. Not only did they fail to address the actual problem with my vehicle. The level of incompetence displayed by their technicians was mind-boggling. It's clear that they lack the necessary skills and expertise to properly diagnose and fix issues. Instead, they seem more interested in making a quick buck by taking advantage of unsuspecting customers. To top it off, their customer service was abysmal. There was no accountability for their mistakes, and they seemed completely disinterested in resolving the situation or rectifying their errors. I strongly advise anyone to stay far away from Ben and Nino Auto Service. They are not to be trusted, and their lack of professionalism and integrity is beyond disappointing. My experience with them has been nothing short of a nightmare, and I wouldn't wish it upon anyone else. Save yourself the headache and seek out a reputable and trustworthy auto service provider instead.
