I've been coming here the past few years for NYS inspections on my highlander. Today was the first time they strongly recommended I replace my front rotors and pads, which they showed me were completely shot. They gave me a fair price and did the work quickly and I was on my way by midmorning. Great business, no nonsense.

These guys are so easy to work with! After someone vandalized my car in 2021, I found them from their Google reviews. The price quoted was reasonable; they worked quickly. No games. Just good, down to earth NYers doing solid work. When I needed to replace my headlights 4 years later, I didn’t forget about them. Working with them was just as easy. If I ever need repairs and I’m in the area, I won’t go anywhere else. Shout out to Joe for taking care of your customers with a smile.

Scratched my front windshield tint. Didn't apologize and said it was illegal but you can have at least 70% on sunlight in. He also seemed annoyed that he didnt want to remove the inspection sticker. Seemed like it was my fault for having him go through the inspection. Giving them 2 stars because the inspection was done quick.

Had a minor issue with the splash guard on my Honda Fit, called up Holy Land, they were kind and communicative, and got me in right away, fixed it in 20 mins, and didn’t even charge me other than tipping the guys. Class act. Contrast that with Pep Boys on 3rd Ave who lie and mislead you about maintenance issues. Will only go to Holy Land from now on!

Holy land auto repair is the only shop I will go to when I need any type of repair or maintenance done on my car. Every mechanic that I have gone to left me feeling ignorant and as if I just got ripped off. However, the owner Joe in holy land made me feel like family and the results were exceptional every time. Their customer service and prices are above exceptional, you won’t regret coming here!!

Great service!!!! Brought my Toyota Camry in that wouldn’t crank after an accident & the guys got me right within a few hours and for a very fair price!!!! Joe was great and to the point! They do everything from electrical to collision to painting! SOLID SOLID SOLID!!! Don’t even hesitate!

I can honeslty and confidently say i have been nothing but happy about the repairs and services the provide … All staff are very welcoming and honest , hard to come across .. My main guys Roscoo hes the man fr young boss , very smart and fast , works with passion and pride any cars ive had and continue to have will go to Holy Land , highly highly recommend ; this is the most honest review ull read .. The best car shop ever. No nonsense. They don’t try to take advantage of anyone. Completely honest and friendly. And if you’ve ever had to get your car fixed, you know how important these things can be. I’ve been going here to joe and the guys for almost 10 years and they are so solid and on the level I actually enjoy bringing the car in to get serviced.

Best community auto mechanic along the Park Slope/Gowanus border. The prices are fair and the service is good. The owner is a decent guy. Been going to them for years.

I got my AC compressor replaced here in July. The service turnaround was quick (two-three days), the price was fair for the work and everyone I interacted with was pleasant and straight-forward. Recently the compressor seemed to not be working again, so I took it back and they diagnosed and fixed it within an hour without giving me a hard time in any way. Honest people doing solid work. Will be back!

Disappointed considering all the good reviews. Went in to have a catalytic converter shield installed. They are listed as an authorized installer for the Miller Cat Shield. When I went in they told me it would be $150 for them to install the shield. I had purchased the shield from the manufacturer (for $230) and had brought it with me to the shop. I find the price Holy Land charged for installation to be exorbitant. There is a large sign above the counter in the shop that says the rate per hour is $95. They took less than an hour to install it. Beforehand, I had researched the price range for the installation and people said they paid anywhere from $60-$125. I would have expected to have paid $100 at the most for this quick installation. The guy who called me to tell me the car was ready was definitely rude. He got annoyed when I questioned him about the price. When I mentioned the sign above the counter states the hourly rate of $95, he asked me why had I agreed to the price when I left the car with them. I told him that I was asking him a question but he didn't respond and passed the phone to someone else who was one of the "nice" guys. The rude guy also revealed to me on the phone that it would cost $150 only if I paid in cash. I didn't have time to go to the bank at that point as they were closing soon. They should have told me that when I dropped off the car. I paid with a card and it came out to $160+. I feel that for about 40 minutes of work they overcharged me. When I paid, I questioned the person (the nice guy who seemed to be in charge) who took my payment. He insisted that they worked on my car for more than an hour, which wasn't true. I dropped the car off after four and they close at five. Then to justify the price, he said that two people worked on my car and that they had to drill holes to attach the shield. The guy who took my payment did show me the shield installed on the car prior to taking it down from the lift which I did appreciate. They also installed the shield quickly which was also good. Lastly, when I had dropped off my car, I had told them that the box with the catalytic converter shield was in my trunk. They took the box out of the car and never returned it. It was the shipping box so it had other items that the company had sent like documents and the custom bit that fits the custom screws for the shield. I had paid extra to get custom screws. I only noticed that they didn't put the box back in my car after I got home. I called the shop and they told me to come back in if I wanted to get the custom bit that came with my shield. I live in another borough and it's in no way convenient for me to drive back to the shop. I asked the "nice" guy who seemed to be in charge to please mail me the screw bit. After much ado, he said he'd mail it. Well a week passed and I hadn't received anything in the mail. So I messaged him again asking about the bit. He responded that he forgot to mail it to me and again recommended that I come into the shop to get it myself. I once again explained that I live in another borough and that it's not at all convenient for me to go by his shop. So he finally agreed to mail me the bit. In fact, he sent me a pic of a stamped envelope addressed to me. Great! Well not so great after all. He didn't secure the metal drill bit in the envelope so it poked out of the envelope and was lost during transit. He just dropped a chunky piece of metal with a pointy end in a flimsy paper envelope and didn't think to at least tape it in place so that it wouldn't move around and possibly fall out of the envelope. Overall, I'm not buying the nice guy hype and affordable prices mentioned in the previous reviews. I feel that they will overcharge you given the opportunity and they definitely can be aggressive and rude, depending on who you talk to. I'd never return to this establishment. They caused me an unecessary headache through their negligence and did not remedy the situation in a common sense fashion.

i took my car in for a general check up - it cost $400 (totally over priced for a prius but i was new to the neighborhood). i am pretty convinced they actually did nothing and my car just sat at their shop for a few hours while they “inspected” it because the window cleaner ran out a few weeks later and the tires weren’t pumped up. in my experience, good shops ALWAYS check these minor details for you before the car leaves. on top of the questionable service, the guys working at the shop are extremely rude. it was overall a terrible experience and a huge waste of money. i will never go back to this shop.

They did fix my tire but it took them an hour to jsut put a brand new one on and it cost $200 and then they tried to say I need new shocks for $400. I took it to a different place and passed the inspection easy with no need for anything new. I would not recommend this place especially when I’ve gotten a new tire for less.

I’ve had a really great experience for all of my visits. They are fast, upfront with pricing, and friendly. I forgot that my headlight was out and they noticed that and added it to my oil change service to get it fixed. Would highly recommend!

I brought my SUV to Holy Land after getting in an accident because it was the closest shop to where I was. I am so fortunate this was the closest shop. Joe was amazing to work with from the very beginning. He communicated well with me and my insurance, kept me updated on the progress and had the car ready on time. He did fantastic work and the car looks better then before the crash. I highly recommend this shop to anyone in need of service!!

Fair prices and very good work. I've been bringing my cars here since my first (a 1991 Lincoln boat) and the next two. I send my family to these guys if they don't want to pay through the nose at the dealer. Just had my girlfriends car done there, saved at least 500 on minor body work and it looks better than before it got dinged. Honest dudes, honest timeline when you drop it off.

Joe will take good care of you. Prices seem to be 20-30% lower than the garage I used to go to in Chelsea (my car is a 2010 Volvo w 190,000 miles so I'm in the shop a lot) and the work here is always quality. Definitely recommend.

Holy Land is my go-to shop and a trust-worthy, efficient, and friendly auto repair business. I have been seeing them for 2-3 years for a number of services for my old (but still alive and kicking) Toyota Rav 4. They are always honest in their assessments and very quick and effective when I get work done. I was recommended to this shop by a friend and so glad I started seeing Holy Land for my car needs. Highly recommend!

I have been taking my car here for about 4 years. They have helped me with problems big and small. Always professional & quick, reasonable prices- they have even done small things for me for free on multiple occasions. I'm so grateful to have a trusted mechanic in the area.

Incredible service. I had to come in for an oil change and inspection today with a 2016 Jeep Wrangler and when I got there it was really crowded. I thought for sure I was screwed as I had to go to a socially distance graduation party in an hour in BK. However the one thing I realized about Holy Land auto is that they are very organized. They had me in and out in 20 minutes. Very friendly, but not overly chatty. For me, that's great. Time is money in any service business.

These guys are some of the most conscientious and fair mechanics in Brooklyn. I’ve tried other garages closer to my house in the area, but keep coming back to Holy Land. They have always done great work and have even fixed small things for me without charge, multiple times, and turn the work around quickly. I’ve compared pricing with other garages and they are always competitive.

They are basically doctors except their patients are cars! Extremely professional and straight to the point. My husband often tells me to junk my car, but Joe always gets it up and running again! I definitely recommend getting your car fixed here. Quality work at decent prices and friendly faces you can't go wrong!

Just take Care! I paid more than $800.oo dollars to repair a misfire on the engine. Very weird but I paid. They said I will have 6 warranty months about it, but 15 days later I still have the same trouble. I went yesterday and the owner "Joe" said: "- Oh, I'm sorry: Go to another mechanic because I'm not specialist in this kind of brands"... So... Where are the 6 months Warranty? What they did with my $800.oo dollars? ... I have Video, Audio records, Invoices and Pictures... Just take care when you think to go there. ??

From VA and had an accident in Brooklyn during Memorial Day Weekend. No outward damage, but the car wouldn't drive correctly. Owner took my car in on memorial day, fixed it within 2 hours for a fair price. Straight talker, excellent mechanic and very very fair and reasonable prices. Really was a life saver that day, because everyone else was close and he opened up to take care of me. I was on the road later that day with no problems.

Amazing service. After being told by four other area garages that they did not have time to do my vehicle inspection I just happened to drive by this garage. I stopped in and asked them if they could do it and even though they looked pretty full they agreed. Within less than an hour the car was inspected and ready to go. Abdul was super friendly and made the whole experience a seamless one for me. I'll be back again. Highly recommend!

I had a transmission leak and, i didn't want to go to any old mechanic repair shop. I looked up top rated repair shops in Brooklyn and, this was the 1st result. After reading the reviews i decided to bring my Nissan Altima over to them. The service was great. I explained the problem and, he looked and, confirmed what was a leak from the transmission near the radiator line. Easy fix. 1 1/2 hours later my car was fixed and, it hasn't leaked since. The price of the repair was not to bad. It was affordable. Will come back for all repair needs.
