Nice people but the tattooed black male who check and change batteries tried to charge $30 for change my battery. Which is free when you buy a battery. But he said that’s not his job, AutoZone doesn’t pay him for that.
I went in looking for a new battery for my car, Bryan was the worker helping me. He took his time explaining the differences and helped me choose one that would best suit my vehicle and was pocket friendly. I definitely will be coming back just because of the excellent service provided to me.
I will tell you not to go there at all..employes do not give a damn about you. I bought a battery for my car . Ask them to help me install it ... ignore me like I do not exist..next day went back and return the battery..worst customer service ever...that is why I usually stick with Walmart and amazon...they deserve 0 star...
I had such a good experience at the AutoZone on Coney Island Avenue today. They answered my questions, didn't treat me like an idiot or a bother, checked my battery, installed a new one, checked my alternator ... The whole experience was pleasant and helpful. I wish I had gotten the name of the person who helped me (young man in the red hoodie) so I could shout him out in the review! Thank you!!
Bought a battery. They didn’t even offer to install it. When I asked him if they could install it as I’ve had it installed at locations in the past, he just kinda ignored me. When I pressed the matter, he was like “oh u know I can’t leave the counter unattended” when there was clearly another worker just chilling there. He then said “oh he just clocked out like 2 min ago” so why is he behind the counter with no intention of leaving??? I said I couldn’t install it myself and they told me to take it to a mechanic knowing full well that most mechanics would already be closed by that time. I then asked if they would do it tomorrow if I brought the receipt, they were still like “eh…yeah….” To be real , I shouldn’t have to beg for installation or to “come back” just for it. I understand that it’s winter but it’s literally part of the job. they then watched me struggle to carry it to the parking lot. I will not be coming back
I came here for the first time and bought a bottle of engine coolant. The categories are clear and you can find what you need as soon as you enter! The front desk is also very efficient!
The coney island autozone with that new staff becomes the worst autozone ever. They are disrespectful, careless and lazy. I am very disappointing with their service. I went last saturday the11/9/2024 to buy two replacement headlight bulbs. There was a short young boy who told me they have two different kinds for 2007 rav4: 9006 and 9005. One of them is for high beam and the other for low beam. I said give me the low beam. He gave me the 9006 and made me pay $35.00 with taxes, out of $50.00. After handing me the change and the bulbs he walked away without giving me a receipt. It was around 5:00 pm .When I got to the exit door the alarm goes off ,I had to come back for another customer agent to scan the unit to remove the alarm. When I came home replacing the headlight bulbs it turned out that the one he gave me is the HIGH BEAM oneS instead of the LOW BEAM ONES. I went back today the 11/11/2024 at about the time 5:00pm to the same careless and lazy guy to get the correct replacement part, the first thing he asked me :WHERE IS YOUR RECEIPT. I said you did not give me one, after you handed me my change and the wrong part, you walked away. He refused to exchange the part, and finally I just walked away leaving him with my $35 and the wrong part in his hand, meaning he stole $35.00 from my pocket.
Honestly store has gone down hill. Asked if I can see or they can tell me what kind of fittings an oil pressure gauge on their shelf came with, was told no they can't check but I should just look it up online since everything's there now. Maybe I'll just buy the product online too. Shopped here for years and they always had some small piece of advice for you, but guess no more
Had to stop by yesterday since one of my bolts on my motorcycle shifter got loose, didn’t know what size of ratchet I needed, but the manager Ralph was there, and helped me out A LOT by finding the correct tool and size and helped me to get the bolt tighten. Thank you, I really appreciate it! Will definitely return.

So disrespectful and rude people working here . How they have no humanity in them . This store deserves to close. I paid extra to get 4 years warranty on their product and they're not replacing it now and telling me that its your fault that it went bad . Like are you serious . How can a router get bad in literally 4 months. It's obviously low quality product .
I came in to have my battery checked, which needed to be replaced. The woman who helped me was super engaged and informative. The battery I bought didn’t work when I installed it while I was still there, but that turned out to be because I used dielectric grease on the terminals. Everyone there was very helpful in troubleshooting the issue. I think over the course of 30 min every employee on the clock got involved in some way and they were all very helpful. I will definitely be back. Finding good skilled labor is hard and this is a tough job. What a great team.
My father's vehicle had a check engine light so he stopped at this location to ask if they can use the OBD scanner and check what's going on. They said do it yourself and that they are busy even tho there was 3 guys standing around.
Today I went to get a part for my truck, on the commercial counter I asked the guy to check the part, and he told me that they didn't have the part in the store when I asked him can he could check the surrounding store he found one in the store on Utica ave. I asked home can I pay here and pick it up there he said yes but it should be paid in cash because it's a commercial account. I asked him the price he told me to pay in cash would be $ 143. I went to the auto zone on Utica Ave. I got the part and paid through my credit card and they did t ask me to pay in cash and the cost was $113.99. I came back to the mechanic and found out that the part was not needed as he told me on the phone. After fixing my truck the mechanic told me to return the part to the auto zone. I went again to this location as it was close to me. I met the same guy on the counter. He was busy with the register taking money out and putting it back leaving some on the side and then opening the register putting in the money and taking some more. I realized that he was not closing the shift. I asked about my return. He looked at me and kept himself busy with what he was doing. Then after a few minutes, he told me that I could not return it because I had not bought it here and I should go to the store on Utica Ave. I told him that this was not right because earlier you had been asking me to pay here and pick it up at the other store and even you were charging me more. But he refused to take and it cost me 35 minutes to go back and return it there and cost me another 40 minutes to come back to this location.
You need to do something to look into this matter. If you have a camera system it was about 3 pm today.
Very weak and tired customer service. 3-4 workers behind the counter and no one on the main floor (i did not need the help, but for those who may). Also, it took about 5 minutes to wait in line, me being the only customer in line to pay before they noticed due to their own talking personal/ professional business.
Hopefully they will improve on customer services. I guess nobody cares for in person shopping anymore as most of the shopping is going online, however this kind of stuff (automotive parts, accessories and fluids) is atill better in person, in my opinion, thus we customers and the vendors both neetld to be nice about it.
Great services,but I wished that there were more respectful to customers. They are used Profanity languages, to communicate with one another.They does not care whether the customers are listening or not. They are not professional at all. They should know better
Obviously it had all the things people need for the upkeep of their vehicles. Always better to shop here for things like motor oil and other accessories because you'll probably get them cheaper than at your local gas station. Plus you'll get a wider selection. This particular AutoZone is near a lot of car washes and body shops. It's not huge by any stretch but I think it had all you need. A fair representation of products. The staff of pleasant enough and its never really busy when I've gone in there. The one thing I will say is that their parking lot is tiny. In fact, I could see how people could get into accidents getting in and out of that place. Now I now that it's in Brooklyn and the street that is congested with store fronts. All I'm saying is you have to be careful when driving in that lot. Not a bad location. If you need supplies head on in.
My car key battery died and I was clueless on how to replace the battery. The nice guy behind the counter not only found the battery he also changed it for me and showed me which windshield wipers would be a fit for my car. Highly recommend this place. He didn't have to go above and beyond but he did.
I went in to buy some new wiper blades and Sam was behind the counter. He walked me to the exact size I needed when I told him my make and model and came outside with me to help me put them on. He was very generous and knowledgeable and I couldn't have done it without him!
Staff seems to be very happy working with each other. Which goes a long way with how that energy will transfer to the customers walking in. They didn't have a filter I was looking for that was on sale but still helped me to save money with another oil/ filter combination. Interacted with multiple workers and they all were very helpful and friendly. Surprisingly good customer service for a non-commission based retail store.
Serving to me as a customer was good but the way I heard them tell at their employees in front of customers made me not want to shop here again. If you need to talk to your employer about something they are doing wrong you talk to the privately, not yell at the employees in front of customers like they are dogs.
