I went to this location for an oil change and a tire evaluation. I left without them telling me I had 2 nails in my tire. Instead of warning me of this, they intentionally put that my tread on my tires was low when it was not, “to indicate there was an issue with that tire.” After I discovered the nails for myself, I returned to have it fixed. They then messed up my splash guard on my vehicle, which I immediately informed them of. I explained how they had repeatedly inconvenienced me and Christian informed me he would refund me for this. He took my address and said I will receive a check in the mail. I called back 1 week later and spoke to Christian, who again stated my refund should be on the way. The very next day, I got a call saying I will not be getting the refund because I did not get a tire warranty- a warranty I was never informed about or offered. And even had I got it, the issue that warranted the refund did not pertain to the tire. Overall the customer service of the establishment is terrible. You can not trust the professionals to adequately work on your car, inform you of your car, or help you when they mess up your car. Christian told me there was no way to get in touch with the manager, so this review is my best resort. If you call, you will be put on hold. I have arrived and watched Christian holding casual conversation with other employees while I was still on hold to prove he puts people on hold with no intention of answering. Overall, I’d recommended taking your chances with skilled individuals who care about the consumer.

This was the worst experience ever I got there at 9am and at 3 42 pm my tires was still not on the car yet my Sunday was just spent sitting and waiting on my car with no one telling me anything . I have to keep asking when my car was going to be done . They needed to tell me this was going to be an all day thing. Would’ve gone home and come back in the afternoon, but nobody said anything.

Dropped in to have my Tire pressure sensor looked at. As I didn’t have an appointment I had an hour wait but it wasn’t bad at all. Made a run to Family Dollar a few stores up and that cut some of the wait time out. When car done asked for a quote on tires to replace current ones and it was bad quite reasonable given the current tariffs. Changes my previous experience from worst to good.

Appointment was at 3, picked my car around 5:30, last year’s oil change and inspection took around 1 hour (tbf, there were more people in the waiting room compared to last year’s visit)

Terrible experience, bought in my car for service got a broken windshield back. They called me about brakes and other problems but not a windshield. When I asked whats this crack, they claimed it was already there. Now they won't fix it or bother to check the cameras and see what happened. Now I gotta fix it myself and go to court to get it resolved.

Took them 6 hours to put tires. They didn’t do the aligtment and stole the money. Drove the car misaligned for a few miles an expensive car. Also, they pushed me a warranty that I never asked for. Disputing the charge with my credit card company, good luck. Don’t bring your car unless you’re a fool. The guy in the front saying they did it and lying to my face. You guys are very lucky that I am in a good mood because if I wasn’t that wouldn’t end only with a dispute

The advisors were very polite and we're willing to help as much as they could. It must be hard because they take the brunt of the complaints because the work is done super slow.

Had a great experience, easy check-in was able to drop off my vehicle and run errands. One of the parts that I did purchase from somewhere else did not fit my vehicle and they took the initiative to reach out and get the correct part for me.

Waited an hour only to be told they didn't have the right size tires for my car... So I got the tires elsewhere but, I'd give them another chance when I need new tires again

Oil change was done with no issues. But, the 2 other requests that I made the appointment for was not done. 1) Free battery check was not done cause they lacked the equipment. 2) free wheel alignment check was not done at all. Also, not a lot of staff on weekends, where most people make the appointment for cause of the weekday workweek. More staff needed on weekends, if possible please.

Please DON'T come here if you want an inspection done for your car. I plugged in my own OBD scanner and everything was good. I came here for an inspection they told me that they failed me because their OBD wasn't connecting to my car properly. I still had to pay even though it wasn't a car problem. The receipt they gave me said $0.00 yet they charged me 37.50. I went to another place the next day and they passed me within 10 minutes of me being there.

I brought my car in to have the canister purge valve replaced. I had taken my car to autozone before bringing it in to pep boys to see exactly what the code was. My friend and I tried to replace it the day before, but we used an aftermarket part and damaged the hose. I knew exactly what was wrong with it and made an appointment with pep boys at 9am. After waiting 2.5 hours, I finally asked if anyone had looked at my car. They told me that one mechanic looked, but couldn’t figure out what was wrong with it. I told them again the exact issue and where it was located (it’s right on top of the engine!) After 3 hours of wasted time, they called me and told me that rats had nested in the engine bay and that they needed to replace multiple wires and perform an engine flush. This was a malicious misdiagnosis to try and scam me out of extra money. They showed me a picture of some wire that I had covered in electrical tape the day before and told me “that hose needs to be replaced.” It wasn’t a hose, just plastic covering a wire to the canister purge valve, which I had already explained to them. Luckily I made conversation with another unfortunate customer who had also been waiting an exorbitant amount of time and that person gave me a recommendation for a decent mechanic. Never take your car here. They are not honest and will try to scare you into spending more money. Terrible experience.

I sent my car at this chop today Monday 10/28/2025 at 11:45 AM. for transmission flush. They sent an SMS at 5PM said that my car was ready for pickup. When get there I saw that they didn't do any work on my car. I checked the camera in my car and so that no body get in car. Never send your car at this chop for work. They are scammers and liars.

Pep Boys has to do better! You guys close at 7, I come in to get my car serviced at 5:45pm only to be told that it can’t be done today because the workers leave at 5. What? If the workers leave at 5 why are you guys open until 7? Is that what you guys are telling everyone that walks in for service? That is terrible business practice. Customers look on google to see if they can make it to pep boys at a decent time and a trip is waisted because you guys have no workers for 2 hours. Someone respond to me to tell me how all this makes any sense. These practices are exactly what makes certain establishments go out of business. From 5pm to 7 You guys are open but are not doing anything or making no money? Lol wow. Smh

Had the worst experience at Pep Boys. They fixed my vehicle by replacing the alternator then a month later it already stopped working. Brought it to them because it’s still under the 90 day warranty but they tried to charge me a labor fee of $500 (later discounted to $375) to fix the issue they caused. After my wife cited the company policy about warranty, they suddenly decided to honor the policy and replace the faulty part at no charge. After all this, they called the next day switching their story saying that the issue wasn’t the alternator, that it was the battery and I needed to pay them $375 to replace it (such coincidence that it’s the same $375 they wanted to charge the day prior for the labor fee for the alternator) I decided not to go through with service and told them I’d go to autozone for autozone to test the battery. That’s when they suddenly changed their word and said it’s fine, they’ll just replace it. They were trying to get that $375 by any means necessary, even if they have to lie to get it. This isn’t even the icing on the cake for everything that happened but for the sake of keeping my review short, I’ll leave it at this. Waste of my time and money. They’re extremely unprofessional, lack accountability and customer service. Not to mention the fact they tried to deceive me in so many different ways. I’d stay far. I regret coming here.

In August, I brought my car in because it was having trouble starting. I trusted them to be able to fix my vehicle. They told me the alternator was bad and they replaced it with a “new” one. Less than a month later, the alternator failed. On September 25, I brought the car back. They ran diagnostic tests and said the alternator they placed in the vehicle, failed. So they had either put a cheap alternator in my vehicle or a refurbished one. But for the price they charged, that’s absolutely insane! Here’s the crazy part. Being that the vehicle was only fixed less than 30 days ago, it would still be under the 90 day warranty. Here’s the even CRAZIER part. They said they would replace the alternator but only if I PAY FOR LABOR which was $500 then had the nerve to say they’ll give it to me for $375 as if they were doing me a favor! Pay for labor for something that should be covered with warranty?! I’ve never heard anything like that in all my life! The manager was extremely rude and dismissive, saying things like “well my workers gotta get paid for the labor” and “what’s the problem, you’re getting a free alternator” as if he was doing me a big favor! I pulled up the warranty policy on the Pep Boys site and that’s when he decided to honor the warranty policy and fix the vehicle with no charge. Their excuse? He had “only been working there for three months and didn’t know.” No apology, no professionalism. Then on September 26, things got worse. They called me and suddenly changed their story — they said the alternator wasn’t the problem, that it was the battery, and that I needed to pay $375 to replace it (COINCIDENTALLY THE SAME $375 THEY WERE TRYING TO CHARGE ME FOR THE LABOR FEE THE DAY BEFORE). Also, $375 to change a battery?!?! It’s literally as easy as changing your tv remote batteries. I became suspicious because their diagnostic test had clearly shown the alternator was “DEFECTIVE” — I even saw the receptionist write it on the paperwork. I then told them not to proceed with the battery change because I would go to AutoZone instead to check the battery, they quickly backtracked and said “Never mind, we already replaced it and you don’t have to pay.” HOW SUSPICIOUS?!?! When we picked up the car, we asked for the receipts and diagnostic printouts. First they said the machine never printed out the test results (all of them does) then they CHANGED THEIR STORY and said they “threw out” it out (which is very strange). Told them to show me the order they made for the alternator and battery then they changed their story multiple times about whether the alternator was ever even ordered. First the manager said his computer deleted it then changed his story and said the order never went through then changed his story AGAIN and said he cancelled the order so he doesn’t have any documentation. Separate from this, the receptionist gave us multiple invoices with false and misleading notes, first writing that we came in thinking it was the alternator (a complete lie — the MECHANIC diagnosed it), then rewriting it to make it look like we refused to pay for the battery (ANOTHER LIE, WE SAID WE WERE GONNA BRING THE BATTERY TO AUTOZONE TO TEST IT INSTEAD). Only after we demanded corrections multiple times did they finally update it to reflect the truth! Between the level of professionalism, deceptive behavior, TERRIBLE customer service, LACK OF KNOWLEDGE, TERRIBLE SERVICE.. On top of all this, NOT ONCE DID THEY TAKE FULL ACCOUNTABILITY NOR DID THEY APOLOGIZE. THE ENTIRE TIME THEY WERE JUST DISMISSIVE AND RUDE AS IF IT WAS MY FAULT THEY DONT KNOW HOW TO DO THEIR JOB! I HONESTLY DONT KNOW WHICH IS WORSE. I’d give 0 stars if I could because they don’t even deserve the 1 star. DIABOLICAL. IM ALSO ATTACHING COPY OF THE NOTES THE RECEPTIONIST PUT ON MY INVOICE SHOWING THE LIES.

I was visiting from out of town and found this business for my oil change. I made an appointment online the day before my appointment for the first available slot. They honored my appointment time and I was the first one in and the first one out. Couldn’t be any better than that! Highly recommend! Thank you PepBoys!

They take too long at this shop and because you a woman they take advantage of this I spent 6 hours waiting to check a engine light and replace battery. The manager is cluless and does not order parts on time which makes custo.ers work longer then they should. If you have a time slot it should be honor. And answer the phones.

Place is incredibly slow. I've waited over 2 hours just to get the oil changed. The mechanic raises my car up and then proceeds to start vacuuming the floor as if I haven't been waiting here for 2 hours over something that takes 20 min. Absolutely ridiculous

Sales rep flores was awesome and very patient. He explained everything to me and gave me the information on every tire that was recommended for both my vehicles. Also, sales rep Bernard was also awesome and very helpful as well. It's good to walk into a business with people who smile and are attentive. I would definitely recommend this PEPBOYS on Utica/Ave M. I needed a wheel alignment after my mechanic rotated my tires. I came on a Saturday morning and the front desk female was great. After a mishap with the different pricing online vs what the computer rang up she was able to adjust it. I will def be back if I have any car needs.

The office staff was great and professional. The waiting room and bathroom were very clean; with k-cup machine (fully stocked) snack machine. The mechanics were also friendly and polite; they did a great job with my tire installation and wheel alignment. They had a parking lot, which was great as well. Pricing was good and the waiting the same. I recommend this Pepboy location.

They did a fairly good job, but the work areas are in total disarray with item discarded randomly all over the floor. To be inviting to cutomers on a first visit and give the appearance that a repair job will be done well, your surroundings should reflect so. Whoever is the district manager has to be held accountable. When one sits in the waiting area, especially at the open, the area should be neat and inviting, not to be greeted by a table with scattered expired coupons and a coffee table full of dirty stains.
