I have a new Toyota corolla cross hybrid SUV wrapped, It was originally pearl white from the dealership and I changed it to Electric Blue (Tommy gave me a lot of other shades of Blue to choose from). Last week, I had my PPF (Paint Protection Film) done at a specialist shop. Initially, I searched online for PPF shops and found this one with the highest ratings. At first, I wondered if the reviews were real, but with curiosity and a “let’s give it a try” attitude, I reached out to Tommy. I asked him about various PPF related concerns, such as thickness, warranty, and whether the film was pre-cut. He quickly answered my questions in professional terms, and the price was very reasonable. The next day, after picking up my car from the dealership, I went straight to Tommy’s shop. Back in August 2023, I needed paint protection film (PPF) installed on my white matte Genesis GV80. Luckily, on my way home from the Gowanus entrance, I spotted Tommy's PPF installation shop near my job in Red Hook. He did a fantastic job installing Xpel Stealth matte film on the entire front end and mirror caps, along with regular Xpel gloss PPF on the headlights. Fast forward to this year – disaster struck! Someone clipped my car while merging on the highway, leaving some serious deep scratches on the passenger side front bumper film. Panicked, I thought the paint was ruined. After reviewing the damage carefully, it looked as though the PPF took the brunt of the damage. Thankfully, Tommy came to the rescue! He expertly removed the film, revealing my car's paint in perfect condition underneath. Not a single mark! Tommy's expertise saved me thousands in potential body work and an insurance claim. I scraped up the driver’s side front bumper PPF (previously installed out-of-state) on my 2023 Tesla Model Y and sought a remedy before an upcoming trip. I researched best local shops and Tommy Cheng/Paint Protection Film screened best in class so I called here first. Amazingly, Tommy picked up my Sunday morning call - then received my damage pics thru text, assessed and provided a reasonable quote within minutes and took delivery the next day … this was prompt! While servicing my car, Tommy kept me up on progress and addressed other minor cosmetics while staying within estimated costs. I had a great experience working with Tommy on a full PPF job for my new M3. He was communicative and upfront about the process and what things were going to cost. The results are fantastic. It is not, by any means, the cheapest way you could go for paint protection film, but I feel like the quality of both the XPEL product and the craftsmanship of Tommy's work justify the cost. Yes, paint protection film can be expensive but worth it if you plan to keep your car for a while. Tommy is a great guy and will always be available to answer questions and help. It has been almost a year since I got it done on the Mach-E and had some scratches/smudges on the film, but easily saved the paint exterior. Tommy was also available in-person to help clean off some of the harder to remove areas. I could see why this shop is doing well! I also appreciate their hiring of diverse staff. Don't hesitate to call for a quote.

Highly recommended shop. I had the front bumper, hood, fenders, and rear view mirrors paint protected with Suntek a couple of months ago. The film install was done with care and precision. The installer was very communicative and happy to answer any questions I had. It was raining the day I was supposed to pick up the car, and because I didn't want to get rain on a newly installed film, he worked with me on the scheduled pick up. I appreciate the fine craftsmanship and thank you Tommy! ? Update 4/5/21 - Went back to get my sides done because I had an incident with a dent and some scratches that i fixed before getting the film. But I knew if I got anymore scratches, I'd of regretted not getting the wrap done. Went back to trusted Tommy who did a spectacular job the first time. He gives such attention to detail and care for your baby that reassures confidence. Anyone could use a particular PPF, but your results will mostly depend on the experience of the applier.

I had my 2021 Tesla Model Y partially wrapped with Xpel PPF few days after delivery. Due to the unpredictable nature of my work, it's difficult to take my car in to the shop during normal business hour. But Tommy is very easy to work with and quickly squeezed me in to his schedule right after delivery. I did not fully wrap my car due to budget, but Tommy is also flexible in terms of picking additional important areas to wrap with PPF for a very reasonable price. Price is likely the most competitive among all the places I received quotes. He pays attention to detail and identified a small dent on the door that I did not notice at delivery despite examining the car for a good 30-40 minutes. So I was able to send a picture quickly to Tesla service center for which they repair for free. Tommy expedited the installation as I needed the car for work. And I was able to pick up the car even after normal business hour (again because of my work). The job was done quickly and beautifully. The deep gloss and richer color after Xpel PPF installation are amazing. One month into owning the car, my passenger side fender was unfortunately damaged by unknown sharp object (possibly with some force) which penetrated the film and caused a deep scratch (down to the bare metal) on the car. I received quotes from other body shop in the area which asked for >$1600 to remove the film and repair the scratch/dent. I contacted Tommy and he helped me coordinate a repair of the deep scratch with full panel repaint and re-wrapping of the PPF on the panel immediately. He coordinated it with the body shop so the whole process was seamless. The car looked perfect after the repair and wrap like nothing had happened and the paint color matched perfectly with the other panel. The cost of repair was also much much cheaper than what I was quoted by the other body shop. I highly recommend this place if you are considering having PPF installed on your car. I would come here again if I ever needed to replace the PFF years down the road. I am very happy with the protection film installed on my new car which makes it super easy to clean the car. I am also having the peace of mind that my car is somewhat more protected from road rock/salt due to the wheel design and soft paint of Tesla cars (you can see lots of examples of paint chips on the lower rear doors/hood/front bumper - and Tesla owners regretting not having PPF installed immediately). I regret not having the paint fully corrected prior to the installation (wasn't aware that's a thing even for a newly delivered car). I am sure Tommy can help arrange that with his resources if that's something you are interested.

After purchasing a new VW Golf R, the dealership recommended this shop to get my paint protection film (PPF) installed. I opted to get full front and rear bumpers, front fenders, full hood, and mirror caps. The installation was very clean, with no bubbles and clean edges. Unfortunately after a couple of weeks of me abusing the car and washing it, some bubbles formed in the sharply shaped creases of the front bumper/grill. Fortunately, the installation comes with a warranty and Tommy, the owner, came to my own garage to fix the problem free of charge. The whole process took no more than 15-20 minutes. After about 4 months of ownership, living in NYC, someone obviously sideswiped the edge of my bumper leaving a scratch on the paint of about 2x4". Luckily, the scratch wasn't deep and the film took all the damage. Tommy was able to locally replace a part of the front bumper film, for a very reasonable price. And just like that, no more scratch. Overall, the product and installation isn't cheap, but if you value the condition of your paint, in my opinion, it's well worthwhile.
