This crew is the best! They’ve helped me out with inspections and repairs and are always knowledgeable, friendly and generous with their time and help. There’s a great vibe at Motorgrrl that I haven’t seen in any other motorcycle repair shop I’ve been into. Appreciate yall!

Having taken my bike to Motorgrrl a number of times (and used their winter storage) I’ve always been satisfied with the level of service and the quality of their work. Pricing is honest and once parts arrive they get work done in a timely manner with clear communication throughout. I have zero complaints, and while all of this meets and exceeds the baseline of what you NEED from a bike shop, what Motorgrrl does beyond that is what will keep me coming back; The crew. They are awesome, friendly, genuine people who are passionate about what they do, always making you feel welcome, and are happy to take time to explain and answer questions. Huge thanks to Kareem for always sourcing parts asap and keeping me in the loop, to AJ for the care and attention he puts into his work, and to the crew as a whole for making me feel so welcome. So glad I found this place - Great shop, fantastic vibe! Five stars

Last winter I made the silly decision to store my Vespa outside, so when spring rolled around I took it in to MotorGrrl to have them help me smooth out some of the problems I was having starting it up. Val and her team took great care of me and my bike and I'll definitely be storing it in their garage next winter. Recently I was riding by and noticed one of my tires was soft, so I brought it over and they helped me out immediately. Great service, great team, great spot.

The crew is incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and made the whole process easy and stress-free. You can tell they genuinely care about what they do. Can’t recommend them enough. 5 stars all the way! Been keeping my bike at Motorgrrl for a little over a year and can't speak highly enough about how great of a space it is. As a new rider, I'm very appreciative of the supportive team who works there - always patient and willing to answer my newbie questions lol. They're also quick and thorough with service! I showed up to go for a ride one day and my bike had a flat - they fixed it for me within an hour despite it being a busy Saturday. And just last week they changed both my tires and brake pads pretty last minute when I realized I needed them ahead of a big trip out of town. Just generally a great experience with great people!

Rolled into MotorGrrl for a last-minute motorcycle inspection and they handled it on the spot! no fuss, and all with a warm, genuine smile. The crew is super friendly, professional, and clearly passionate about what they do. The space has a great energy and it's refreshing to find a garage that makes you feel welcome and taken care of.

Quite disappointed by my experience there, very similar to other NYC bike places I went to, parts seem overpriced, I guess it's because of the suppliers but how come the exact same thing can be bought by a non professional for cheaper. The employee who ordered the tire was very unhelpful in figuring out which brand or model would be best as their overpriced supplier didn't have the brand and model I usually go with. Service took a long time even though I had an appointment. I like supporting local and smaller businesses but I would only recommend them in very specific cases here in NYC.

Shout out to Kareem and AJ for helping me set up a storage spot for my new Vespa scooter. It only took 10 minutes and it was ready. I will recommend them if you want to keep your motorcycle or scooter safe.

I needed to get an inspection and some brake work done short notice. Val was fantastic to work with and fit me in same day. AJ took care of my bike and does great work. The team didn’t try to upsell me, showed genuine concern for my ride and took great care of me!

I enjoyed every moment I spent at this place felt like family, I got my chain & sprocket changed along with other things within an hour. I also took advantage of their 24/7 storage for peace and mind. There’s a shop 1 block away from where I live but I didn’t like the way I was treated I would rather travel 10 minutes to this shop. I will definitely be recommending this place to all my family & friends.

Charlatans: to give you a sense of how dysfunctional this place is: I brought my bike to change fluid brakes. when I went to get it back, they scratched the tank (brand new bike) and they tried to repair it with some paint, so they ruined it even more. I didn't sue them but I should have. totally incompetents especially that dude that was at reception. where the hell did they find someone like that

My scotty broke down in the middle of nowhere and there was no other place to fix my bike and luckily i found motogirl shop and they fixed my bike Which was really life saving for me. I am forever grateful to these people for fixed without charging a cent. May god keep all of them in good health and condition in every aspect of life. All of them are very friendly and warm hearted.

It was an amazing experience! Valerie run the business and worked with me in all aspects making m my life easier! AJ was the Tech’s who was very professional as well, very attentive, patient, show me what was wrong with the bike, explain it to me and fix it ! Thanks MotorGrrl !

Val, AJ, Frank and the crew are AWESOME!!!! They are prompt with quotes, responses to questions and issues with the bike. I've been a member for several months and sing their praise every chance i get! I enjoy my Full Throttle membership and highly encourage joining the community!!!

I came to the Motorgrrl today trying to figure out why my USB charger was not working. I'm a rookie motorcyclist who literally bought a bike 2 weeks ago. Valerie went above and beyond to help me with fixing the problem and she did not want to take any money. Did not find a better way to say THANK YOU rather than to buy this amazing Icon Upstate Flannel Riding Shirt! Definitely will be back again!

I raised my review. The one star was due to bitterness. They are high priced and charge double labor for "vintage" bikes. Otherwise... great place for storage and fantastic at fixing a punctured tire in a pinch. Many places will make you buy a new tire from them. One mechanic told me what my electrical problem was and how to fix it (no charge). Although he was wrong, it worked out fine as he gave me a good place to start.

Motorgrrl Always comes to my rescue! I really don't know where to start. It is great to have a one stop shop! Everytime I have needed work on my bike,it has been done in good time fair priced. And done right! Before work is done ,I am fully informed on what is needed, and what can be done to improve my bikes function ( it's vintage,and I needed to get more things done sometimes) I have taken classes, learned a lot, met some great like minded people there, and I have been to some badass events there too! I look forward to going back and getting my bike ready for spring. feel lucky to have found this place! Thank you Val and Motorgrrl staff!

Horrible experience with this shop. Took bike in for a diagnostic, along with 2 brand new batteries for load testing. One of the batteries came back with the negative terminal broken off, useless. The diagnostic was wrong saying I needed only a stator for $300 when it was shown to me by another shop I needed a rectifier as well, both purchased by me - not the alternate shop for way less. Finally Motorgrrl gave the bike back without re-attaching the stator wires! I have neither the tools nor the knowledge to have taken off the fairing. The photo shows how the bike was returned to me. Do NOT recommend this shop.

I was a member of the community garage for 6 months and have used the winter storage option as well. The whole staff is awesome, friendly, very knowledgeable, and very helpful. I was successful in getting an old 1975 Honda CB500T up and running, my very first attempt at rebuilding a beater. Learned a lot and wouldn't have been able to do it without some help from the guys who work there. Definitely check this place out!

Have gone there several times for service, and this last time was yet another great experience with the team. Jeff took great care of my bike and was an excellent communicator throughout the whole process. They gave me a quote, detailed the cost of parts and labor, and had it turned around super quickly. The first time I went in was for a new rear tire and a fork rebuild, and this last time was a busted spoke replacement. Both times were easy experiences at fair prices. Val and her team are running an A+ shop, charge fair rates and I love that I get to support a local, independent and female-owned business.

This shop is a godsend. I bought my first bike a little over a year ago and could not find a mechanic in NYC who would even diagnose it. I own a 78 Yamaha XS750 and everyone who I spoke to was vague about when they would be available and what service would even cost. I actually got really discouraged and considered getting a brand new motorcycle just to avoid dealing with mechanics. MotorGrrl was incredibly professional and knowledgeable about diagnosing and fixing my bike. My bike is handling great and my love for motorcycling has been completely renewed! They will be my first call going forward for all bike related issues.

First of all I would like to start off by saying these guys are not only great mechanics and moto enthusiasts, they have a great community and fun events for anyone looking for some friendly riders to hang out with during bike season. Now to the repair/maintenance portion. The servicing on my bike was quick and decent priced. Jeff has been very friendly and helped me understand what exactly was wrong with the bike. These guys have a passion for motorcycles and know how to put effort into bikes that need a little love. Thank you guys I look forward to bike season!

Brought my bike in after an accident. They discovered some other issues and successfully diagnosed the problems. I agreed the the fixes and they quoted me 2 weeks. What makes them them stand out is that they communicated with me every step of the way, shared changes to the invoice in timely fashion, finished the work in the quoted time, and answered every novice question I had with a smile. They took the time to explain every facet of the work that they were doing. And the result is the best ride I have ever had on my bike. It feels safe and comfortable. Are they the cheapest? No. But good, professional work ain't cheap and cheap work ain't good. This was the best experience I have had with a repair shop. They earned my business and made a customer for life.

I've been taking my bike here for repairs, oil changes, and winter storage for a couple years now. I've never had a bad experience. Everyone is very professional and nice. Whenever there was an issue with my bike, they walked me through it until I fully understood what the issue was. Pricing seems comparable to other shops as well. Great people. Great organization.

My high-miles Ducati Monster needed a valve check and adjustment and throttle body balancing. I used their $25/day workspace access to do most of the work myself and then did 1-on-1 tech instruction for the more intense part of swapping out the shims on two valves. The whole team was so nice, welcoming and helpful. Their lead tech, Frank, clearly has a wealth of knowledge and my bike is running flawlessly. Being on a budget, it was awesome that I could pay $25 to do a majority of the work and then get help for the tougher parts. I'll absolutely be going back!
