I’ve been bringing my car to Julio for about 7 years now, and I wouldn’t go anywhere else. He and his team are friendly and you always feel like you’re in good hands. Julio is really transparent about what’s going on with the car and great at communicating, which makes such a difference. He always explains things clearly. The work is always high quality, and I really appreciate that they’ll give me a heads up on what might need attention in the future so I’m not caught off guard. Will continue to support and tell others about Model A in the future.

Not sure why they call this place “model a transmission” when they are incapable of doing transmission work. I came here with a transmission problem, the owner’s response was “That sounds complicated and expensive” … um, okay… I ended up going to a mechanic in New Jersey that performed all the tests and discovered the issue I was having had to do with a faulty computer PCM. Replaced the PCM and the problem was fixed. (And it wasn’t so expensive) Moral of the story is : don’t come here for anything other than a basic oil change or light bulb replacement. They don’t know anything about transmissions.

Julio and his team are awesome, you sense the integrity behind the quality of their work and they relieve you of any concern you’re having with your vehicle.

I had been having issues with my car shutting off randomly, and after visiting a few mechanics who gave me some pretty scary possibilities, I ended up at Julio’s shop. From the start, Julio was incredibly professional. He let me know they’d run a thorough diagnostic before jumping to any conclusions. The inspection was $150, and after checking everything, he called me to explain that the issue was actually much simpler than expected. He replaced the parts for just $70 total ($35 each) and had everything done quickly.

Julio was clear, honest, and genuinely knows what he’s doing. You can tell he’s been in the business for a reason. I left feeling confident and taken care of. Highly recommend checking him out if you want honest and skilled service.

I was visiting family in the city and had my car parked for 2 days, and ended up having a rat crawl under the hood and eat away my throttle wire. In a panic before visiting the zoo, we ended up getting the vehicle to model A and they fixed it the same day. The repair survived a trip back to VA and is still running. Julio had some of the best customer service I've seen when getting a vehicle repaired.

Had an awesome experience with Julio and his team they were able to change my battery and get my car back quickly :-) easy to deal with friendly and knowledgeable, highly recommend!

These guys are the best. It's so nice when you find "the place" for any given thing, and this is definitely my car place.
I've been coming here for three years now, and whether it's a registration inspection, oil change, or repair I've always been able to show up and get the work done the same day -- quickly, very affordably, and with great friendly service.

This morning I drove from Connecticut into Brooklyn and ran into car troubles when I got to the area. Luckily I got stranded one block from Model A. By the way, I found Model A via Google Maps (shout out to you Google!). I managed to limp the car into Julio's shop. He and his crew immediately tested my battery (good) and my alternator (bad). Being a Saturday, I was really worried about just getting the parts to fix it and if I can even drive home today. Julio worked the phone and assured it can be done. Fast forward a few hours - with a side trip to Manhattan Chinatown in between - the car was fixed and I drove home without any issues. Thank you to Julio and his team!

Julio and his team were so nice. They were definitely fully booked and he still took the time to check the fluids in my car. Overall nice experience will be bringing my car back there next time I need something.

Nice people. Went there on 2 occasions, seems like early afternoon is way easier, because when I came in the morning I had to wait in line with other cars for a while.

Quick service, oil change a bit pricey, at $85.

Over rated over priced Good for inspections not much else. Made the mistake calling them when I meant to call another place where I left my car. (They were one of the places I called to get my car fixed and I dialed the wrong one.) Anyhow, instead of being direct in answering where my car was they answered with confusing quotes and not so funny jokes only to hang up on me. All that had to be said was Ma'am or Sir, you made a mistake. Instead I hear, I don't know... WHERE DID you leave it? And then hung up on me. Unprofessional. Once upon a time I gave them a good rating but only because they did a good job for me as a new customer. Not going there anymore, I found a better professional reasonable priced place where I now take my 2 vehicles.

Honest, thorough, and dependable. They don't hide what they're doing behind any curtain and were more than happy to show me first hand what they were working on and how they were going to fix it. They've earned my future business. Julio is personable and extremely knowledgable and I felt comfortable having him and his team work on my car.

Guys in the office were friendly and easy to talk to. Got a NYS inspection on my car. In and out in 15 minutes - standard NYC price, $37.

I also watched them help an older woman ahead of me. Seemed honest and straightforward in their estimate, and even recommended she price check wipers on Amazon if it would save her a little. Will be back for service in the future.

Cannot recommend this place enough. Julio and his team were incredibly nice, fast and professional. Julio also recommended to me another mechanic who does bodywork and turned out to be another really great and dependable mechanic. Very grateful to finally find a high quality and professional auto shop. No mansplaining!

Julio is an amazing professional, straight up! Had an issue with my engine and his guys were able to detect it pretty quickly and fix it on the same day. Honest guy, fair price, awesome service. I Highly recommend his shop.

I had an emergency as my car was overheating I took it in to this shop and the owner took at look at it. Asked me for a deposit called me later on that day and informed me that I need to flush my engine and that I needed a new starter and new battery. He sold this request very good so I agreed but later on when i got home to checked all the work that was done on my car and noticed that my starter was recently change about 14 months ago so all it needed was a new battery not a starter but since he already started the work I couldn’t go back on it. So it took 3 days for them to complete the job. When I came in to the shop to pay my balance and pick up my car owner gave me this story that how they put in good work on my car. What felt weird was when I was leaving he said “if anything come back and we will check on it” I found that weird because if you fixed it why would I need to come back. Sure enough the first time I drove it (not when I left the shop) the car immediately overheated and I called the shop to find out why do I have the same issue I thought it was fixed. He said bring it in. So I brought it in he ran his diagnostic and told me you need at least 1,500 worth of work I don’t think it s worth it. So I was like wait!!!!! You originally told me the problem was there was a leak and you fixed it and you also got me to buy in that I needed a new starter
I have to say I was RIPPED off
That was my experience. I will never go to this shop ever and will never recommend them

My expectations when I go to a mechanic is to diagnose the problem and fixed it not patch things so I have to come in again or misdiagnosed the problem

This shop cause me money time and my car as I had to give it up because I wasted a load of money for something that didn’t solve the issue

Julio absolutely rescued us from a difficult situation and provided excellent customer service and an incredibly quick turnaround time. One of our car’s side mirrors got stolen overnight, right before we had to drive out of town. Julio responded to our late night phone call and then first thing in the morning figured out how to get the right part to his shop and installed it. All of it before noon and cheaper (with labor) than the price of the part alone from the dealership. Thank you, Julio!

Julio and the team are pretty great, always a positive attitude. Have been taking my car here for a few years - regular check ups, emissions, small body work. Always timely and reasonable in price.
