This company operates like a scam and prey on travelers at JFK. I stepped away from my car for about 30 seconds to help my elderly mother out of a wheelchair at arrivals - Terminal 1. When I came back, my car had already been lifted up. Another drivers car was towed when turning their back to them - while right next to their car. Terminal 1 parking is CLOSED so there is no place to park at Terminal 1 , which makes situations like this almost unavoidable. Instead of showing any understanding, the staff member I dealt with was extremely rude and insisted on cash only to bring the car back down. They know there is no way of parking there and take advantage of people. The whole experience felt predatory and exploitative, especially toward people helping elderly or vulnerable passengers. I strongly recommend others be cautious and aware of these practices.

These people are criminals and disgusting people. I dropped my family off at Terminal 5 departure at 5:45 on a Tuesday. There were minimal cars and I stopped my car to unload my family where the attendant who works for JFK waved me to. I took my wife's suitcase and child's stroller out of the trunk and was setting up the stroller on the curb. I turned to see where my wife was with our child and as she was walking around the rear of my car to get my kid, I noticed my front wheels were already being lifted by the tow truck. WITH MY CHILD STILL IN THE CAR!! My wife began yelling to the driver that there was a child in the car. He became extremely aggressive towards her and was yelling and cursing back at her. I went over to his window to also explain the same. I calmly tried to explain that my vehicle was not unattended, I was on the curb opening up the stroller and that my kid was still in my car. He screamed in my face and told me to get my kid out so he can tow me because he didn't like the way my wife was speaking to him. I was able to get to my drivers door and open it so he wouldn't drive off with my young child. The driver then threatened to call the police on me. I told him to go ahead as I'm sure they're love to know he was trying to kidnap my kid. Once I said that, he dropped my vehicle and sped away. The attendee who led me to this spot was taking photos of my license plate and when I asked why he said that it would be helpful to have if the vehicle was towed. After reading other stories similar to mine it's clear that these guys are running a scam. They are lifting vehicles while people are still getting their belongings out and asking for $50 to drop them. My guess is that the attendants are in on it as this guy was backing up to my car within seconds of me getting out of it. The only other vehicles in the loading zone were taxi and TLC vehicles who were idling empty. My guess is they're going after vulnerable people who don't know better.

This company towed my car today while my 75-year-old mother was sitting inside. Their desire to make money is so great that they are ready to tow a car with a living person in it. This happened in front of the Seven Eleven parking lot in Coney Island. Just two minutes after I left the store and went into the shop next door, they took the car. Right now, my mother is in the hospital with a panic attack. We will see each other in court soon for towing a vehicle with a person inside! God bless my mom!

I recently had my air and cabin filter replaced at Ben & Nino Towing, and overall, it was a positive experience. The service was quick, and the technicians were knowledgeable and friendly. They took the time to explain the importance of the filters and made sure everything was in proper working order. The pricing was fair for the quality of service I received, which I really appreciated. My only minor concern was that the waiting area could use a bit more comfort and amenities. I would definitely recommend Ben & Nino Towing for their efficient service and expertise. I plan to return for future maintenance!

Scammed me at JFK airport, terminal 5. Left my car at departures for literally 45 seconds to help passenger bring bags inside as it was very cold. Tow truck came in quick and lifted my car. Extorted $45 cash on the spot to "get my car back", otherwise would tow it to their lot on Stillwell Ave, meaning would have to pay a higher fee. Said airport has a policy of not leaving the car unattended even for 1 second. JFK staff said they do this often and staff can't do anything about it.

A bunch of scammers who will purposefully misinform and lie to you to prevent you from getting your car released so that they can continue to collect money on it. Nobody at this place seems to know anything about anything and they'll all just tell you different things unless you speak to the manager directly. The receipt I got said they release cars 24/7, but when I went they say they only release it between 9 AM and 3:30 PM and apparently they don't do it on the weekends either. They also added a whole $100 "labor" cost at the end of my bill which nobody ever mentioned. It's not written anywhere either. I don't even know what labor they're talking about because I had no work done. These scammers will do anything to get every last drop out of you. Their auto repair shop is even worse with insane prices just for diagnosis. I can get the same diagnosis for free at my local mechanic just by having them look at it. If they offer to tow your car to their repair shop you should immediately decline. Likely you won't hear from them or see your car for days, all while they continue to charge you daily. When I did go to pick up my car I was forced to wait over an hour. The lady at the front said 15 minutes, an hour goes by and they still can't seem to get the car. I was starting to get worried that they screwed up my car, and which they kind of did in the end. They tore off the bumper and mangled it up along with a few other damages that were not there before. In total I probably spent over 2 hours at the location trying to get my car released. Would not ever recommend getting their services unless it's your absolute last resort. I would've been better off just pushing my car out of the highway than getting it towed by them; anything to not have to deal with these people. The terrible reviews don't lie, take it as a warning.

Truck driver laying on its horn relentlessly because it’s blocked by an Amazon driver who will, of course, in moments time come out and move it. We just had a massive snowstorm and navigating the roads is difficult for everyone. I guess patience isn’t a requirement of workers at this company.

Ladies at the front desk are respectful and courteous. No hassles, next time I'll be smarter!

Very disappointing experience. Poor communication, unprofessional behavior, and unclear charges. I would not recommend this company based on my experience. There are much better towing services in Brooklyn.

I have the worst experience at Ben and nino garage. They fixed my car when tow truck driver took me there own garage. I was truck again on highway. When I open the bonnet of the car found belt is open and a battery charger was left on the car. They took my original battery not knowing nothing happened with battery or the alternator. I want my battery and money back. Not recommended to anyone.

It’s sad that companies take advantage of people during difficult moments. After my car was towed by the NYPD, the woman at the desk charged me $500 and claimed she was “giving me a deal.” I didn’t have my registration, and I understand I should have kept the car in my driveway, but I repeatedly asked her to explain the fees and what exactly I was being charged for. She just kept saying she was “looking out for me,” that she’d drop the car outside so I could drive off, and insisted I pay in cash with no receipt. She said I needed to put an address on file but would still be allowed to take the car. In reality, she overcharged me by about $310, as if the company had towed the car to my house—when in fact, I drove it off the lot myself. I was never given the option to choose my own towing service or understand what the charges were for. When I went back two days later and said I should’ve been given a receipt, she printed one showing the company supposedly towed my car home and charged me $310 for it. People have families and responsibilities, and practices like this are unacceptable. For anyone who gets their car towed here, the actual fees are $125 plus $25 per day. Don’t let them scam you. And trust me—this won’t be the last time you hear about this.

What a bunch of scammers and crooks! I parked my car in the CVS Coney Island parking lot, and a few minutes later it was towed. CVS workers are involved, calling the tow trucks for extra money! I am also 100% sure that they hide taxes from the state and do not provide any documents; all the New Yorkers before me experienced the same thing that day. My car was stolen and damaged when it was taken to 2603 Stillwell Ave. I repeatedly asked for an official document, and they refused at first. When I quickly called 311 to complain to NYC, they realized their mistake and gave me a receipt. Anyone who needs help to work together to shut down this thieves’ towing company, contact me. The staff working there are very aggressive, especially the two females in the front who are very disrespectful and rude. I am suing them to the DCWP with all my power and reporting them to state bodies investigating financial crimes, as well as the Human Rights Protection Service. If you would like a more formal version or any further corrections, just ask!

This is a shoutout to Elle who is an awesome person and a true professional! My cat got towed and I lost my id card and she was willing to help me and work with these conditions. She was reassuring and kind and I truly appreciated her for that. Thank you Elle! You made this whole experience a lot better! Thank you ❤️

I have never dealt with a more disgusting, predatory, scammer company in my life. I was unloading luggage at JFK terminal 1, standing 15-20 feet away from my Jeep, when their driver swooped in and hooked it within seconds like he was hunting for victims. At first, I was polite and tried to explain that I was standing right there. When he refused to unhook my Jeep, I put it in 4x4 and freed it myself. That’s when everything exploded. My window was down and this guy actually spit in my face. His behavior was so aggressive and disrespectful that things almost turned physical. People around us had to step in and stop it from escalating even further. That’s how bad it got because of his actions. I will be filing formal complaints with the Port Authority of New York and New York Consumer Affairs because this company operates with zero integrity, zero professionalism, and straight-up vile POS behavior. They prey on people and push situations to the edge. Avoid them at all costs and report them anywhere you can.

Professional scammers, they took my car from the 7 Eleven and hindered me with $600 for delivering the car to me, they told me that because it was a rented car they would not be able to return the car unless I paid in cash an extra charge of $300 in cash to deliver the car to me without any receipt or proof of payment. It is an organised group that takes advantage of the system. Thieves

BE AWARE about this towing company and the 7-Eleven at 2800 Coney Island Ave, Brooklyn. The entire towing process was carried out with multiple violations of NYC Administrative Code §19-169.1, including the lack of proper written authorization and an unlawful ‘drop fee’ above the legal maximum of $62.50. At the scene, they demanded $150 in cash, even though their own posted sign says $62.50. When you point out the discrepancy, the driver pressures you to ‘just pay $150 now and sort it out later with the company.’ Once you go to the company, they issue a partial refund but make you sign a Hold Harmless Agreement, calling it a ‘tariff mistake’ — while in reality you were overcharged for what they classify as an "impound". These steps are not random — they are carefully orchestrated, from the inflated demand on the street, to the pressure to pay cash immediately, to the refund process that shields the company from future claims. They count on people being unaware of the law or too intimidated to fight back. If this happens to you: dispute the charge ( may call police at the scene); demand your refund (if already paid), and know that you have the right to challenge it further through DCWP or Small Claims Court if you choose. Do not let them intimidate you — this is a system, not a mistake.

They towed my AWD vehicle improperly resulting in drivetrain damage and tried to cover it up by switching the vehicle on to a flat bed afterwards, furthermore they damaged the front bumper as well and refused to provide insurance information. Turns out they were operating without insurance- I sued them. If any one needs help obtaining their insurance information you can put in a FOIL request with the DCWP.

I interacted with them yesterday and today and for my brief moment with them, they are extremely unprofessional. They started following me out of the store and was threatening me and trying to assault me. I had to call the police on them for my protection. I would never recommend this company for any towing.

This is money laundering operation - they refuse to give you your receipt if you paid in cash. They pressure you to pay in cash. They refuse to state the price of tow over the phone so they can later size you up for how much they want to charge you. They inflate the price once you are there. Once you call them on their bullshit they lower the price and discount their “administrative” fees. They even forgot to take their money - that’s how busy they were trying to scam me out of max amount possible. Then someone calls claiming to be a police sergeant from the local 61st precinct stating that if I don’t come back they’ll have me arrested. They literally didn’t take my money and gave me change and gave me my car back that I didn’t even realize that they is what happened because I was trying my best to get scammed as little as possible. Then they threaten me with their cops who they seem to be in cahoots with. Will be filing a lawsuit against them for defrauding, theft, etc. as well as filing a complaint with the NYC BBB.

My car was parked in a legal parking spot at JFK's Long Term Lot but the mall cop was on a power trip and said I could not park there even though the signs said no parking after August 12th (it was July but he didn't realize that we are not even in the correct month since he was on a power trip). The mall cop will call Ben & Nino to get your car towed and when you ask the Port Authority, they will say they didn't do this. Then the lady on the phone at Ben & Nino will argue with you and tell you that Port Authority approved it (which they didn't) and they even forge signatures on the tow consent form in order to make it look like it was approved. When you ask them who is the police officer that approved this, they will say they don't know their name. If your car was towed illegally, file a complaint with the NYC Department of Consumer and Worker Protection (DCWP) and they will be required to respond and come up with a resolution. This is what I did and I got my money back! They still act like they didn't do anything wrong, but they should have verified first that the tow was legal prior to doing it. They just want to make some extra money and hope that most people don't know that we have a consumer protection bureau that will help. Don't let them get away with it. Take the time to file your complaint!

nobody, I’ve got told by Ben and Nino. They did a great job! No scratches or damages after it being towed. And they gave me a great discount after explaining to the situation that occurred to me and the reason why it was sold! Thank you again.

I'm sorry to break it out to you, but if your car got towed here, you're in trouble and no one's going to help you. I came for my car 1.5 hours after it was towed. The sign at the parking lot said "$125 for towing, including the first day of storage. Then, storage is $25 for each extra day". But when I came, they asked $250 and insisted I would pay it in cash. I refused, and they said I would have to pick my car up the next day. The next day, it was $1,770. They added damage for some other car on their property which I allegedly did (which I didn't). I called the police, but the police said Ben and Nino were right and I was wrong. They said, "They can charge whatever they want for their service, it's their business. When money is involved, the police cannot intervene. If you disagree, you can challenge them in court" I ended up paying $1,770, because they promised they could keep my car for weeks and the price would keep growing. And the local police was 100% on their side. Stay away if you can. If it's too late, please accept my condolences.

Beware of Predatory Towing at JFK – Ben & Nino Are Crooks! If you’re parking at JFK, be extremely cautious! Ben & Nino Towing operates like a scam, preying on unsuspecting drivers with the help of airport security. The moment you step away from your car, security is already on the phone calling them to tow it. It’s a well-coordinated scheme, and you’re the one left paying for it—$100 just to get your car back! This isn’t an isolated incident; they do this every single day to countless people. It’s clear that JFK airport is complicit in this predatory practice, allowing these thieves to profit off innocent travelers. Avoid parking anywhere near where these crooks operate, or you’ll end up dealing with an unnecessary and frustrating ordeal. JFK needs to be held accountable for letting this happen. If you’ve been a victim, report it! This is nothing more than legalized theft.

Was dropping my family member off at JFK Terminal 7 and went out of the car to help lift a heavy suitcase from the car onto the curb. Keep in mind I did not even enter the terminal and was 5 ft away from my car hugging my loved ones good bye and turning around to my car to get back in. The tow truck driver had my car already lifted about to drive off with it. Super rude and disrespectful and multiple bystanders had told him that I was right there getting into my car. He said “I don’t care, it’s not my problem I’m towing you car, give me 50 bucks for the drop fee cash and I’ll give you your car” I asked to pay by card and he said “I don’t have a card machine”. That by the way is illegal. According to NYC Department of Consumer and Worker Protection (DCWP) regulations all tow trucks drivers must give you the option to pay by card. It is highly illegal to say “we only accept cash”. They cannot legally drive off with your car until they give you the option to pay by card. The driver has clearly done this before because he told me “there is an ATM downstairs and you can get cash or shut up and I’ll take your car” I gave him 60$ cash and he refused to give me 10$ change and said “I don’t have cash” when in his cup holder were multiple bills of cash. A kind man on the curb who had just gotten off a flight saw what was happening and told the tow truck driver that this was wrong and completely unprofessional and extortionary. He ended up giving me a 10$ bill that I could use with the 40$ I had to get my car off the truck. A JFK police person also saw what was occurring after he extorted me and said what the driver did was illegal. I will be bringing this up to the NYC Department of Consumer and Worker Protection (DCWP). This is highly illegal behavior. I also called the tow truck company and they were very unhelpful and extremely rude.

They have ruined my car because of improper towing. They broke the rear frame which costed me a fortune to repair and a mess to go through the inssurance. Unprofessionals and rude staff. They won’t even give you receipts and only take cash to evade taxes. I would have given zero if possible.

I thought JFK couldn’t go lower, but now this towing company is preying on happy families picking up people at the Passenger Pickup at Terminal 4. We leapt out of our car to help our daughter with a very large broken suitcase, and next thing our car is being loaded onto their tow truck. The ransom for release was $50, cash only (and he knew where I would find the ATM in the terminal). This is a disgraceful way to earn a buck, even in NYC.

Scam people saying that you need to pay $250 when sign says otherwise. Left car for few minutes as well. After we paid, he damaged our car. We will talk tomorrow with the “boss”, hopefully will get reimbursed at least partially.

DRIVERS WARNING this towing whatever auto repair company works in collaboration with scammy 7 11 on Coney island company that sits and waits until you park. And make sure you step inside the store before you step left or right. Less than a minute they put your car on a towing truck and threaten to take it away unless you pay cash. Seems like local police like them too as they came quickly but did nothing. The manager of this franchise location is obviously splitting with the sly tow truck driver. I WOULD NOT SHOP THERE ALL TOGETHER. Inhumane CHEATERS Both these places must be in court and closed!!!
