This rating is based on customer reviews, inventory size, pricing, and service quality
In Brooklyn, NY, Metropolitan Recycling scores 92/100. Reviews are largely enthusiastic: professional, friendly reps, quick account setup, fast responses, and on-time pickups over many years. Pricing is viewed as fair by most, some were paid on the spot. Strengths center on reliability and standout customer service. Complaints exist—an alleged driver hit-and-run, a dispute over a car’s payout, and mistaken balance calls—so experiences aren’t perfect. Little feedback covers inventory variety, yard organization, or part-finding, so those aspects remain unclear.
I cannot say enough good things about Metropolitan Recycling! The team is so professional, easy to talk to, amenable and friendly. Joe was my point of contact and he was just amazing from day 1. Our account was created in a matter of seconds and our garbage disposal was organized right away. I could not recommend them enough ! Thank you!
Been using Metropolitan recycling company for many years with all 5 of our Fushimi Restaurants. Garbage pick up is always done and on schedule. David is great to work with when I have issues with pick up.
great company and staff. have been using them for years. always have the best interactions and experiences with them. especially with Jillian in human resources. she is the go-to girl and always provides me with the answers to every question i have. i highly recommend this company for all recycling and maintenance needs.
They have been my carting company for over 10 years. The best around. Always there to help me a out in a bind. You won't find a more honest transparent company.
Metropolitan has been a reliable vendor of ours for over 10 years. They are always available and responsive to requests. I recommend that anyone looking for carting services reach out to Metropolitan.
I have been a customer for over a year now. I am so glad I switched to Metropolitan. They are reliable! I don’t have to call to complain about service as I often had to with my previous waste removal company. When I do have to call about holiday pick ups or questions about billing, customer service is always courteous especially Helen she’s great!
Great staff; great service; super safe during these times. Everybody was very professional during my interactions with them, and I highly recommend them!
Excellent service, always on time, and always willing to go above and beyond. They have been servicing our business for 8+ years and we wouldn't change a thing. The staff is top notch and customer service is A++. Highly recommended.
I had a minor issue with delayed garbage pickup three years ago. I spoke with Ralph, the AE, and he worked relentlessly to resolve my issue. He went above and beyond, and I have not had any issues with my garbage pickup for the last three years.
If you are looking for excellent service with a fantastic staff I recommend using Metropolitan! I appreciate the kindness and professionalism from the staff and secretary who always deliver the best customer service. I would definitely recommend. A+
Professional and knowledgeable staff always on time and reliable with ownership geared to providing the newest updated and best fleet with innovations to meet our demands regardless of weather and timing. Expectations were met and exceeded.
Being a month and the pick up is never on time / always had to make call to remind them of pickup / I would like to know is this your responsibility or ours? The most ridiculous part is that the trash is actually held until being pick up by the government / until today we got a ticket off from leaving outside unpick. Worst service worst company trust worthless , will never work with it again.
Im going to change this companyyy im not going to work with them again they r been 6 times they dont pick up garbish bags from the place that i work thats not nice .
I called in to make a address change and was promised a million times that the new address was put into the system but nothing doing. When I call them (not yelling) I'm being transferred a million times until they tell me that my address wasn't changed.
My landlord has since gotten a sanitation ticket of $250 and threatens to kick me out of my location.
