This is the best car repair shop in NYC hands down. The guys are the most trustworthy and so helpful. My battery was dead and they sent someone to jumpstart it. We drove down together to the garage and they replaced my battery and did my NYS inspection which was expiring in a few days. All on a busy Friday - it was excellent service with a smile.

Really as good as they say. Very happy with my experience here. Dont be shocked with their tone bc they are busy getting their job done! Super genuine and hardworking team here. Also very busy all the time - call ahead if you can.

I have been to this shop for a few months. In the beginning, nothing was unusual. After almost a year of business, I had to go in for an oil change and dmv inspection. The manager called me the next morning, saying my car's needs all 4 calipers and brakes replaced in order to pass inspection. He said it would cost 2500 plus tax totaled at 2700+. Needless to say, my manager wanted a second opinion. Also, he added the "brake work" should cost around 1000 instead of the quoted 2000+. I brought it to another shop, which inspected it and passed the inspection without any brake work. Furthermore, the relay installed was not an original GM part. The car did not crank at startup on 2 separate occasions. Luckily, a fellow driver gave me an address where the original parts are available. Not good at all Replying: Eric I brought it to a garage used by a fellow driver in our group. He had said they have been a good one. The only drawback is that it is far but worth having good service

I just found this gem! Eric is so sweet and friendly. Came in for my NY inspection plus service (tires, oil change, wiper replacement). They were fast, reasonably priced, and knew their stuff! I was so impressed and am so happy this place exists. Thank you, Eric and the mechanics that work there!

Eric is THE BEST. This place cares. They know their stuff, are happy and are the best part about my car slowly falling apart. They always explain what’s going on, what could be done or doesn’t need to be done. It’s no wonder they’re always SLAMMED busy. As your grandmother would say, “they do a good business, just like they used to”. I will keep going back, not because I want to because I wish my car would stop getting sick, but when it’s sick, this is the first place I go.

Skilled and fast mechanics. Honest ppl who don’t tell you something to make a buck. Quickly changed a flat for $30. Thank you! Hope these guys stay open and don’t sell out to some developer.

Only place I trust now to take our Mercedes and Pathfinder. Eric is honest and they do great work! Plus, they're good with the pricing-- always up front about what something costs and why.

I’ve worked with several auto repair and modification shops in NYC and the owner/operator and mechanics at New Xcell are wonderful. They listened to me, worked with me, and had patience when I didn’t understand something. Not once did anyone talk down to me (which happens elsewhere). Overall, New Xcell exceeded my expectations. What a great business!

Came to the shop to fix two Stripped lug stud. I was charged $110 for use old parts. They welded the two studs instead of replacing them as they broke them, taking them out. The rotor did not align well because of the welding, causing the car to make a noise and vibrate. Had to purchase a new wheel bearing. 2 new Lug stud only cost $3 each. So instead of spending $6 dollars to get a new parts They decided To weld two old studs, causing me over $500 in damage.

So fast and friendly! Highly recommend coming here. Called a week earlier to make an appointment for my NYS inspection and agreed to come in today from 8-10 AM. Dropped the car off with Ray at about 8:15 and decided to also get an oil change. The whole process took about an hour and half, no surprises and no extra charges. Ray and Eric were both very friendly and helpful.

I have been a car owner for about 15 years and owned multiple cars. I live nearby the shop, and when the car battery died – luckily in my garage– they fixed it the same day. They are unbelievably nice and service minded, and genuinely care about you and your vehicle. I consider them a great staple of my neighborhood, one that makes living here convenient. I go every year for NYS inspections, oil changes and whatever else might need care. They have always met my expectations or gone above or beyond. Thank you! Addition 2024: More glowing words for this service minded business! They fixed a big AC coolant leak early May and restored the AC 100%. A few weeks later an instant oil change place in NJ checked the AC coolant levels and claimed it was nearly depleted, indicating a leak. Odd, since it was just fixed, right? I brought the car back to New Xcell, which guarantee their work by the way, and they did the full check again – confirming not only that the AC was fully working as it should, but also that the oil change venue in NJ was shall we say not-so-cool? You can trust New Xcell to have your back!

I used to work on my own cars, but moving to the city the garage space was sparce. Therefore, I always have some caution in dealing with new shops to see how they try to upsell or milk out any extras. Surprisingly, this shop was opposite; they not only did the job, but they threw in extra parts for worn out bits they encountered along the way. Admittedly, they were able to do jobs at a cheaper price than I could've done it myself had I gone out and gotten it all for myself! From the first time, to all the many visits thereafter, I'm happy to have found a shop in the area to know as my new 'spot'. I thought this might just had been a one off, but I continued taking my car here and saw the relationships they built with the community as well as their customers. Always true, always real, and always helpful - and always the same no matter old or new customers. You get the sense that they're not only worthy of the business, but they really aim to be a part of the community which defined them far from any 'grab your cash' spot, but rather one that exists to be there and make anyone and everyone a lasting customer through transparency, truth, and overall giving the 'friends and family' feel while going above and beyond to make sure your ride is set. Besides, you'll see it for yourself when you stop by - so no need to take my word from a google review if you have trust issues! You wont regret coming here, and you definitely wont regret coming here again the second time and however many times after. Even if you forget their names from the first time (Eric & Ray if you need the name cheat sheet!), they'll still remember all the nuances specific to your car and treat you like it's your 100th visit with all the care and familiarity.

A mechanic that is friendly, fast, and reasonably priced? I didn't think they existed before I tried this place! Called to get routine car maintenance, got an appointment the next day, and it was done in under half an hour. Will definitely be using New Xcell for all our auto repair from now on. Thanks Eric!

The only place I’ll bring my car and I will miss it when I move across the country. Kind, honest and hardworking is how I would describe everyone at New Xcell. They have changed my oil for years, always been helpful with updating registration and tabs and this year I was involved in a hit and run which took off my drivers side mirror and Eric was so lovely to work directly with geico and handle the whole thing. 10/10

While visiting our son and his family in Brooklyn, had a flat tire and some other minor repair needs. Not being familiar with local auto repair shops, I randomly contacted New Xcell and talked to Ray. He was pleasant, knowledgeable, and willing to have my car towed to his shop and evaluate what was needed. Ray did all the necessary repairs in a timely manner and at a very reasonable price. I highly recommend Ray and his other crew members for auto repair needs.

Eric is a true professional and life saver. He was able to fix my car 1 day before the long trip and everything works like a clock now. Also the customer service is on a high level. Now it is my go to place if I have any issues with my car, I'm so happy that I found it!

They’ve been providing service for my cars for over 10 years. Friendly, reliable, reasonable, fast, and helpful in a pinch. Had to take my Hyundai to the dealer for a service update recently, and while it was fine, it couldn’t compete with the awesome people and work of this place.

I went in to New Xcell to replace tires and investigate an issue with my AC / blower, and the service I received was top notch. Service was fast, the manager Eric kept in great contact throughout, and I learned a few new things about my car. I would whole heartedly recommend this shop, just as enthusiastically as it was recommended to me by another happy customer.

These guys are the BEST. I've been here a few times with multiple different cars. The service is excellent. They're knowledgeable and accommodating. Needed a new antenna installed on the roof of my car because mine I dont know what happened but it was damaged. They were able to order the part for me and in a few days later brought my car in and it was ready in less than 24 hours. So glad I was recommended this spot. I live far but it's worth coming here. Eric is fast and great with communication and service. Definitely come here for your car repair needs.

This shop is amazing the people are friendly an helpful, they will go out of their way to help and they will always work harder to give you a better price. They have made the process of rebuilding my vehicle so easy. They let me know the things I absolutely needed versus things that can wait. And they did it within my budget. A project that I was dredging was made into an well priced simple repair job in sessions. Just good guys. I recommend this place for anyone who wants to have an easy time fixing their vehicle.

Eric and his team are the best. These guys make us feel at ease and always give it to us straight. No messing around, no games, no up-selling or tricks or scams. My wife and I trust Eric with our car and I can't give a higher recommendation. They treat everyone with respect and the service is top-notch. 5 stars all around.

Phenomenal place. They did a ton of work at a reasonable price... much lower certainly than the Honda dealerships I've gone to (which is perhaps not a surprise, but I got dealerships priced pretty low with discounts). Moreover, they did the work well -- the car hasn't drove this way in years! A friend recommended them and said he's their mechanic for life. Now I feel the same year. Eric is definitely the guy to talk to.
