We brought our Nissan Rogue SV in for a routine tire rotation and oil change on a Friday morning. Joki contacted us an hour later with an honest and transparent evaluation of our aging car with photos that showed that our brake pads were wearing down, and asked if he should proceed with the replacement. Communication was clear and responsive, and we were told we could pick up our car later that evening. We ended up not being able to pick it up so we asked them to hold it the next morning. We were really happy with the service and quality of labor. We definitely recommend this auto center!

Let me preface this with... Joke had been servicing my cars forever. When he set up his shop in South Slope we continued using him despite the inconvenient (for us) location. Always honest and reliable. But... I have no idea what's going on here anymore. I left my car for a "half day job" a week and a half ago. Came in today to pick it up and have been waiting over an hour to find out what's going on. The mechanic finally returned and showed me my car in pieces. No part of the work actually completed. Joke said to give him 2 more days. I told him I need it tomorrow. To be continued...

SSAC did a great job. Our 9 year old car is driving like new! They even vacuumed and washed our car prior to our pick up and ...it even has a new car smell?! update: not super responsive nor prompt

SSAC is the absolute best. They've taken care of my old mess of a car for the past four years and everyone there is great at what they do and so helpful.

The absolute worst Bodyshop. Owner used damaged and used parts to fix my vehicle that was involved in a crash this past April. Rear Glass is pitted, trailer hitch cover that was destroyed in the rear end crash was never replaced. Lift gate is misaligned. At one point there was desert sand colored parts in the trunk area that I complained about because my interior is grey. They seemed to think there was absolutely nothing wrong with that. Generally your vehicle should be in pre crash condition after work has been performed. They do not communicate with you in regards to work done. I’ve made multiple trips to the shop and it’s been nothing but excuses and delays. Here some seven months later there are still missing parts in the trunk and rear end. When asked of the owner if this would be acceptable had it been his vehicle he just looked @ me dumbfounded. That to me is a clear indication that it wouldn’t be soooo why should it be alright with me. Don’t bother with this place. If it’s an insurance repair take your vehicle to your dealers body shop.

I dropped off my 2021 Kia Forte to have the fog lights repaired and a scratch removed from my hood. It took a good amount of time for the repairs to be completed but I must say, Joke and his team did a Tremendous job. They don’t only repair vehicles, they rehabilitate and restore them. Thank you Joke and South Slope!

I have a 2011 Nissan Sentra. I was unhappy because there was still a noise under the car after maintenance. I came back a few days later and they fixed it free. I took the car on a trip to Pennsylvania, then the Jersey shore, then back home. and it was fine and smooth.

Excellent customer service and very reasonable prices. They fixed my car without any delays. If you need a repair shop in Brooklyn this is the place to go.

Without any appointment, unexpectedly the second time I just showed up at this shop to fix my car problem, even if it was miner issue, auto mechanic by the name “ Mo” helped me without any hesitation and excuses. With friendly and good attitude, he checked and fixed my car rather way. Do recommend this auto shop!!! Do not overcharge and let you know exactly what is problem is.

Someone broke into my car window overnight. I called South Slope Auto Center in the morning and they were able to order the part and fix my window the same day! Price was good and they had it done very fast. Everyone was super friendly too! Would definitely return!

Best mechanical shop in tri state area by the scale of professionalism, honesty, prices and quality of service 5 out of 5. They are the elite team. I dealt with many mechanics in the past, there were good and bad but nobody can compete with these people, big difference with other shops you will see from the first appointment yourself.

SCAM! They charged me $850 when I was quoted $200 max, because they did a bunch of stuff to my car without my permission. I went to get my oil changed ($35), inspection ($10), and for a single new tire for one of my wheels. They told me it would be max $150 for the tire, approximating a $200 max budget. However, they did a whole bunch of stuff to my car that I did NOT ask them to do- WITHOUT CONTACTING ME to get permission. They took the caps off of all of my tires, and replaced them with cheap plastic ones and said I have to pay them to order new Nissan caps, and pay them to install them back on my car. So the trade-in value of my car is lower, because they stole the Nissan branded caps off my good tires and replaced them, without a need or permission to do so. Then they "fixed" a front wheel that had perfect tire pressure, patched my spare, and got a dent out of my car. While some of these things are helped things to fix if requested, I never consented to, nor was I even notified of, the changes. I was not informed that they were making the changes until I showed up to pick up my car and they gave me the huge bill.

Shawn and Jimmy are great! We had a sudden situation far from home - it was raining and the roof started leaking while we were driving. Luckily, these folks were the nearest place. We drove in with no appointment, but they took us in, explained what the problem probably was, and were able to fix it within an hour. They showed us a video of how they fixed it (There was a clog in the roof's drainage system). They gave us advice for how to check it ourselves in the future. They went above and beyond, charged a fair price, and were great at explaining car stuff in simple layman terms. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I didn't get a chance to use them but the owner was great. He was very thorough with an estimate for my car insurance company and he told me I needed new tires very soon! I appreciate his feedback and him taking the time with my car. He is a listener!!! Thank you.

I don’t even know where to start on how GREAT of an experience I had with Joki and his team. Very professional, very knowledgeable, very kind and friendly, very transparent, very honest, and do amazing work. After being rudely told by over 5 mechanics in the city that they wouldn’t work on my classic Mercedes, Joki and the South Slope Auto team took on the job and knocked it out of the park and went ABOVE AND BEYOND expectations. South Slope Auto is now considered my family mechanic and will be servicing ALL of my cars for the rest of time.

Very transparent and open communication with these guys. After I dropped my car off, they texted me photos at the end of the day of all the issues. Fixed all my problems in a week, and I felt very comfortable working with them. If I have another car issue, I will go to them again.

So pleased with the service I received. Went in for an inspection of a used car I was buying and Joke did a thorough job. He was patient in explaining everything that was wrong and gave me great advice. Quick and timely service and transparent pricing. Don't hesitate to go use their services.

South Slope Auto Center is the best and is a life saver. Last year I had a car accident, my car were tolled. My car returned back with a brand new look, without their assistance, I probably still would not have gotten my car back. They worked with you and help you. Such a reliable mechanic. I highly recommend them and is hard to find any auto center can compare with their service.

After our 2006 Honda was smashed by a truck running the Stop sign 2 years ago, I thought the car was totaled and would end up in the junk yard. Amazingly, Joke and his team was able to saved it. Even my neighbors were amazed when they saw the same car back in the parking spot few months later without a scratch...

Joki at South Slope Auto has been looking after my and families cars (daily drivers and exotics) for over a decade. The mechanics know their stuff and I know the prices will always be fair. I wouldn't trust my cars to anyone else!

I love this place! Joke is absolutely amazing. Everyone here takes care of me and makes me feel like family. The receptionist is pretty cute too!

We have had our cars serviced and repaired at South Slope for years. Joke and his team are always a pleasure to talk to, and go out of their way to be hospitable, friendly, and make the experience positive. They can handle such a range of cars.. We have a vintage Volvo Wagon they help keep fine tuned and repaired / parts replaced / rebuilt - and we have a new Mini.. that inevitably gets beat up from the streets of NYC.... piece of cake for South slope Auto!!

I’ve been taking a 2007 Prius here for over a year for routine maintenance, servicing the brakes, and recently replacing a stolen catalytic converter. Joke goes above and beyond and clearly genuinely cares. He explains whatever the issue thoroughly and sends pictures for clarity. He is very transparent about the work and pricing and never pushes unnecessary work, and the pricing is fair. This business is a gem!

Joke and his crew are the best! I used to live around the corner and they were always the nicest people in the neighborhood. When someone hit our car, they did a great job on the body work. When our battery died, they jumped us off and got us going. When we sadly moved out of the neighborhood during the middle of a pandemic, Joke gave us an oil change and checkup on the house as a parting gift. You couldn't ask for nicer and more honest mechanics.

The city damaged part of my wheel assembly when towing my car to pave a street recently. I couldn't drive the car far with this problem. I found South Slope Auto on Google Maps and couldn't believe all these positive reviews. They are all correct -- Joke is easy going and professional. My bill was beyond fair (much less than I expected) and he fixed my problem quickly even though he was backed up with work. I hope I don't have a reason to come here again, but it's NYC and I most likely will before my lease is up and I look forward to the experience of interacting with this business again. That's a sentiment I don't think you hear too much about body shops!

Joke takes incredible care of our old Jeep. He always explains the issues he sees, lays out options and never pressures us into any decisions. Honest, fast, and goes the extra mile. We love having a mechanic and shop that we trust. Highly recommend!

Trust me. I've gone to many body shops and mechanics throughout NYC. I've had a complete paint job and it turned out brilliant. The price quoted was the price I paid. The turnout was better than anticipated. I also just bought a pre-owned/used car and Moe, the head mechanic, was able to diagnose and make repairs expeditiously. I and confident my "new" car will last a long time. The time promised was the time my car was ready for pickup. These are by far the best experiences I've ever had. The head mechanic, "Moe" is kind, friendly, and extremely smart. He is able to diagnose just about anything the first time around. Believe me. His knowledge and mechanical expertise will save you time and money. Get it done the first time around. Don't leave anything to chance. The proprietor, "Joke" will provide you with an itemized bill detailing what was done, and repaired as promised.
