My car was towed from private lot by J&C. Reading through some of the reviews online, I went into it with the lowest of expectations. For something that was admittedly my error, it ended up being no more than a minor inconvenience. Was in and out within 10 minutes, and paid the standard DCWP $125 fee. Annoyingly, they only accepted cash, Discover, or Zelle. But that’s the worst I could say about it.

Why is this place still in business. After reading the reviews I can now see why an estimated 60 minutes roadside assistance tow took the driver 3 hours and 15 minutes. I definitely let this insurance company know this is bad business. No communication to state the driver would be delayed. I advise check to ensure if you need roadside assistance that this company dies not get your insurance money.

This tow company randomly towed my car and said o was blocking a driveway. I was not blocking it nor did I have a ticket as he stated he was called after the police ticket me. To date there is no such ticket for blocking any driveway. This guy was rude, there is no shop on 9 woodhull, just a random lot. He didn’t not answer the phone for 2 days and I was unable to retrieve my car. Finally the Monday, he pulls up to the empty lot with my car still in his tow truck. Beware, This guy is a big crook! Only accepted cash and didn’t give me a receipt. After releasing my car from the tow truck, I realized he had damaged my vehicle.

They legit towed my car, broke a suspension component in the process, held it over July 4th weekend and told me that they were closed on those days and have to charge $25 a day. They parked my car on the street (NOT EVEN IN THEIR LOT) and got me a parking ticket and didn't even tell me about it.

It’s only 1 guy working and pick up cars This guy tolled my car and it didn’t even have a ticket on there that’s illegal, and when I went to pick it up I had to wait outside like 1 hour till he came back. Total scam do yourself a favor stay away and don’t do any kind of business with him!!

The rudest customer service i've ever received. They say they're 24 hours but they probably work 3 hours a day and only when it's convenient to them. I had questions about my car and was spoken to extremely rudely, told to take a cab, and then hung up on.

HORRIBLEEE! Waited a Hour to get My Own Car Back because No one was on site at the address which is a TRAILER. The auto shop that works for the same Company acts as if they know Nothing. Anthony Continuously told me 10 mins for a Hour and in the last 15 mins wouldn't even Pick up the phone. Greg just tells you any Price when he finally arrives. No receipt and when I requested one, i was told to wait 20 minutes. This company needs to be Shut down. Googling everything possible to get this place investigated.

I called J & C Towing last night at 3:30am when a vehicle was parked in my private parking space and my building had them listed as the go-to tow company. The man who answered the phone said they would be over in 45 minutes. He took my name, address and phone number. I waited for 2 hours and no one arrived. At about the 1 hour and 15 minute mark I tried calling multiple times for an update, but no one ever answered the phone and voicemail box was full so I could not leave a message. I've already reported it to my building, so they can take their business elsewhere, I hope you'll save yourself the trouble and do the same.

They took my car and acting like they don’t have anyone to give me my car...they stole my car from a key food lot and I’m waiting to get it back had to call the cops twice and hopefully won’t have to report it stolen tomorrow or I will know they definitely stole it. They told the police man they had my car and to come and get it at 4pm and now they say I f come the next day...I want all my stuff in my car and it better not be damaged...see you soon

called company to tow my car and no one gave a straight answer of how long it would be until they would make it out to tow my vehicle. it took 4 hours before I realize nobody was going to come anytime soon. Had to call them and cancel! My dad fixed my flat instead! Terrible customer service! DO NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL!!!!!

This company is the worse ever. They tell you a price then after waiting 2 hours they doubble the price when they finally show up. I told them you cant raise the price when showing up he said this is my business I can do whatever I want. I took a picture of the guy in the truck when he yelled at me. He then screamed " post that somewhere I crush your scull" Stay out from this company they are BAD BAD.

Took my car even though I was legally parked, it just a bored 90-year-old lady who called them... and they took the car! Then they lied about the hours I could pick up the car, and hung up on me when I tried to talk to them on the phone about getting my car back. It is amazing that this company is allowed to operate considering how scummy and rude they have been.

Scammers! They almost towed my car at a CVS parking lot and I intercepted them before they could. The guy told me to either pay him cash up front ($135) or he would take it to the NYPD tow pound, which doesn’t even make sense. I also had a CVS receipt showing I was a customer. He refused to let my car go and I had to go to work so I had to pay him cash. He released my car, drove away and didn’t even provide a receipt. I have reported them as a fraud company with DCA and DARP.

Scam fraud operation, the took from me 130 cash for a drop fee, claiming no credit cards accepted, total ripoff. I later discovered that DCA Department of Consumer Affairs, only allow $125 per tow and $62.50 for drop fee, as well as that they must accept 2 major credit cards. They rank among the most egergious criminal fraud operators in the industry, file complaints with DCA and DARP to shut them down. They consistantly post phoney fake star reviews from accounts which don't have any other reviews just one for them, in an effort to hide the truth and solicit business from roadside assistance and amex accounts etc. Need to file complaints with all roadside service companies as well.

AmEx roadside assistance set up a tow with J&C for me. They told AmEx they were sending a flatbed, as my vehicle is too heavy for a standard small wrecker. The driver shows up with a standard wrecker, and shrugs when I asked him where the flatbed was. He then drives off. AmEx then can’t reach the company at all, and keeps getting sent to voicemail. Shady. They agree to a job while lying about their equipment, then show up hoping they can still do it. Bet they would have charged AmEx the flatbed rate if they could have lifted my truck.

If i could give a negative star I would the dispatcher is unable to communicate with his drivers. I waited over an hour when I called he said 10 mins a half an hr later the driver called back and said he's very far and he didn't understand why the dispatcher said that. I will also leave a yelp review.

Hello They are scammers! My mother got robbed by one of their employees yesterday! She went to pick up her vehicle that was towed night before. On the phone we were told it'd be $135 but the guy charged her $185 cash and refused to provide her receipt when she asked. She went to 9 Woodhull St by herself (I couldn't make it with her) and was just scammed by this guy. They took advantage of a poor women who doesn't speak English well! I'm going to file a fraud complain with local law enforcement and the Better Business Bureau as well as consumer affairs if they don't get back to me and refund overcharge by end of day. They must learn their lesson and stop fraudulent practices !

Great service, they respond quickly not only to my blocked driveway calls but are reliable and reasonably priced when needing a tow or boost a dead battery. They won't leave you stranded and are willing to assist. One of the only tow companies I use!!!!!

Very quick and knowledgeable towing company..couldn't have had a better experience when everything with my car was going wrong..these guys helped me out to the fullest extent they could...def my go to tow service provider as of now..there tow worker bald headed dude with glasses with crooked fingers sorry pal forgot ur name..your awesome guy..made it to my appt on time.

I thank these guys For the quick response to my aid. My car broke down on me in the middle of rush hour, I find them online and they were there in minutes. I will definitely use them again for any future towing. 5 star guys great job..

This company is a scam. They engage in services that appear legal but in reality this is a dirty business. Our car was about to get towed but we came out in time. They demanded payment of $60, we gave them money and then they went on to demand more money to unhook the car. At the end, we paid another $77 to get them to leave. This was for 10 minutes worth of work for them. I feel like I am back in the Soviet Union. These people engage in bribery to people who don't deserve it. Based on the reviews here, I see that we are not the only ones who got screwed by this company. Will be investigating further as to how to shut them down.

never had an issue ,anytime I've called J&C , they respond quick ,they get to the scene on time , well mannered and professional service , I will continue to call them as needed,as l people will block my driveway atleast 3-4 times a month and they're always on time , no hassle ***** no Bs !! (Repeat customer)

After a 6 hour drive, I get home to a blocked driveway. We found this company and they came as soon as they could to tow the vehicle. We're very happy with the service and will be calling them again!

Scam Scam Scam, by law they can only charge you $125 for the tow max. This guy demanded $220. Cash Only or he said my car would have to be there all weekend and I would have to pay for storage. Said he had no receipts (so that you can't prove anything). These People are lowlives.

hmm what can I say about tow compabies? except they are shady in ways that appear normal and legal. they have contracts and dealings with private business. when they took my car from a 7-11 parking lot, the operator said he will release my car if "I give him $68 bucks" or else pay 136 and pick it up from their yard. this was all because I stepped off 7-11 property, they claimed I was not a customer. But here is the trouble how do they know that I was not going to buy? who carries Discover cards? guy told me Cash or Discover. which means cash...they don't help pple, they rob pple.

Beware, this company is a SCAM!!! I went with my father to pick up his car today. We got their at noon and they were closed. My father called the guy twice before he came. He claims he lives 15 mins from the place so, I don't know why it took an hour for him to arrive. When he came he said the guy who handles the credit card is an hour n half away he only deals with cash. He mentioned chase bank around the corner s d my father's bank is pnc, bao and Wells Fargo. Those scammers they knew he was desperate so they mentioned chase bank at the next block. Those idiots will not get us again. Learn how to do business

Their Yellow Pages listing says that they're open 24 hours. Their website says they're open 24 hours, but no one answers the phone. I called over and over. All their numbers listed, are forwarded to a 917 cellphone. When someone finally answered, all they said was, we're closed! I called back twice, and the same guy answered and said, there's nothing you can do,we're closed. Call back Monday. Then he hung up on me again. He wouldn't even tell me if my car was there, or how much they want, or where it is. The officer at the precinct said they can't charge you for storage, if you can't pickup your car. Beware of this company.
