Mavis Discount Tire is excellent, totally recommend them! Bryan and Kyle are amazing, the entire team focuses in customer service and are high quality. Had a bad Sunday experience with a street hole that ruined two of my tires, and Mavis Tire saved the day for me! And All at a reasonable price.

What's the point of offering appointments if not followed. And also adding lots of extra charges compared to quoted appointment price. (890 became $1200!) Appointment at 2. Car wasn't even taken in until 245...first tire wasn't put on the car until 3:30. Out the door 2.5 hours later. They were sure to waste 20 minutes walking around the car and trying to upsell brakes and other crap though! Don't go here if you value your money and time.

The driver in the van I was in had new tires (a month old) from Mavis and it instantly caught a flat today. We went to this place to try and fix one flat under warranty and they just filled it with air and wisked us away. (We found a nail or screw in the tire at another place in under 1 minuit)

I came here to get a wheel alignment and get my road ready for a long distance trip. I didn’t have an appt but I called and was able to be serviced anyway. Brian, the manager was great. I saw him deal with difficult customers with professionalism and calm. Kyle was the one that did my wheel alignment and he did a great job. It wasn’t the fastest service but they were busy. They rotated my tires for free and they gave me a small discount. Anything helps nowadays. So why the one star deduction you might ask?!? Kyle left his oily handprints on the canvas of my driver side window when he was stepping around the elevated platform. I had to get it detailed in order to get that removed. The amount of the detail cancelled out the discount. If that would not have happened, it’s a 5 star encounter. I would recommend them but they have to be more careful about where they place their hands.

Mavis Discount Tires Brian and Matt and their team of efficient staff were exceptionally helpful and they took good care of me and my vehicle. I got great advice from them to make sure my vehicle was fully inspected and road ready. I got a great discount on my tires that made them affordable for me. It afforded me to have new tpms sensors installed in the tires. On their advice I will be back tomorrow to have my brakes and rotors replaced with new ones. Thanks a million for your special attention and support Mavis Discount Tires. I am truly satisfied with your service.

⸻ ⭐ 1-Star Review – Avoid This Shop!!! My experience with Mavis Discount Tire was extremely disappointing and concerning. After the work was completed, I questioned the authenticity of the catalytic converter installed on my vehicle and requested proof that the part was OEM (invoice, part number, or manufacturer documentation). They refused to provide any evidence. I then presented photo evidence clearly showing that the catalytic converter installed was an aftermarket product, not an original Toyota part. Even after being shown this evidence, the staff still refused to acknowledge it or provide documentation. Instead of addressing the issue professionally, they dismissed my concerns and told me that “the check engine light would come on if it wasn’t original,” which is false and misleading. A check engine light does not prove OEM authenticity. The way this was explained felt condescending and unprofessional. Key issues: • Photo evidence showing aftermarket parts • Refusal to provide OEM documentation • Dismissive and misleading explanations • Over $2,000 charged for what appears to be a cheap aftermarket installation • Once questioned, they were no longer willing to communicate This is not acceptable behavior for a national chain. When charging thousands of dollars for emissions-critical components, transparency is non-negotiable. I will be reporting this incident to the appropriate authorities. If this happened to me, I can only imagine how many other customers may have been misled. Please avoid this shop. They are not trustworthy

Had a nail in my tire and was in and out in under 30 minutes. The staff at Mavis was super professional and patched it quickly. Very reasonable price for a plug-and-patch repair. Highly recommend!

Just got 4 new tires for this coming snow storm and I was assisted by Brain and Jackie. They were very knowledgeable in helping me get the perfect tires at the best price I could find in Brooklyn. Awesome place and great people! Highly recommended

I came here with a prior diagnosis of cylinder misfire. I was told the wait time was 45 mins. Granted they were packed so I said no problem. 4 hours later, still no service done on my car. I talk to the front desk staff who were actually kind. I was told there was only 1 mechanic and my car might not be fixed today. To which I asked to see the mechanic because I have wasted a whole day and gas. He takes his time and finally comes to me. Telling the same tale of oh we might not be able to do it. Come tomorrow. I said I’ve been here all day. You haven’t even ran your own diagnostic. He’s claiming because they would’ve charged me. Like ok but it wasn’t offered. I tell him again I had it diagnosed somewhere else so it’s either a spark plug or a coil which isn’t lengthy work. He then asks to see under my hood. DOESNT TOUCH ANYTHING. JUST LOOKS. Then proceeds to tell me even if it is just a spark plug he refuses to do it. Same if it’s just a coil. He’s only willing to do a tune up for $1500!!!! LITERALLY INSANE. A WASTE OF TIME. THEY TRY TO JERK YOU WITH THE PRICES. I WILL NEVER GO TO ANOTHER MAVIS AGAIN NOR WILL I RECOMMEND.

Matt was great , I called ahead of time for a wheel alignment and he was very transparent about the wait time and labor time. That helped me a lot as I had a busy day. Also educated me on reading tire thread.

Very good experience. Went for a tire replacement and the service team was attentive and proactive. Brian looked at my oil health and offered an oil change - which made the experience convenient and efficient. I did have to come back because there was a slow leak in one of the tires after being mounted but they handled it quickly (as there was a leak at the valve stem) and I was back on the road. All in all good experience at this location and would recommend.

I had a great experience here. I’ve shopped around for tires here and there for a while, knowing the end was near for the ones I’ve had on the whip. Other places were unhelpful / rude and/or significantly more expensive. These guys found me a deal to match my budget and did the work quickly and efficiently. I literally could not be happier with the service i received! I don’t buy lots of things these days but I have noticed customer service has gone down hill lately in general. I was happy to find these guys who still do their job with some professionalism and class.

Was able to find my type of tires quickly online and make an appointment t change them on the same day. The shop called me to confirm the appointment and that they had the tires available, like it said online. The service is fast, the place has a convenient parking lot, so I was able to bring my car in on the huge tow truck. Also all the guys are super friendly and polite ?

Made a reservation with a Black Friday deal and when arriving at the location the price is completely different. The customer service is very unhelpful directing me to corporate to help resolve. After I get the issue resolved with corporate they take a walk in and skip me. Waiting 2 HOURS for someone to begin servicing my car. Customer service is awful here

My Honda Ridgeline was inspected at a car repair shop for over three hours, but they made an excuse that the tire pressure monitoring problem was caused by a leak in the tire repair and refused to offer warranty. They demanded that the tire be replaced before the repair could be carried out. On October 8th, I came here for a test and quickly determined that the problem was with the tire pressure monitoring in the undamaged tire. The entire repair process took less than an hour. Moreover, I was observing all the maintenance processes, which allowed me to know which maintenance services were paid for when I made the payment. This is very good, as it makes the payment clear and transparent. Moreover, although the front desk here doesn't understand Chinese, they will proactively communicate with me through translation software, and there is absolutely no language barrier issue. After the repair, the staff proactively checked the tire pressure and added air to balance it. The service was very considerate, so I highly recommend coming here for maintenance and repair. I won't go to the car dealership's warranty point for maintenance anymore in the future.

Sun, Sep 14 @2pm I’ve had pleasant experiences at other Mavis locations, so I was looking forward to visiting this one when I noticed my tire pressure was low. Unfortunately, my experience here was disappointing. When I arrived, I greeted the first employee I saw (a light-skinned Black gentleman), but he completely ignored me despite being just a few feet away. I said hello and “excuse me, sir” several times, but he never acknowledged me. I then approached another employee, who was polite and asked me to get permission from their manager. The manager (a stout dark man) initially offered to help, but after a brief conversation with the first employee, he changed his mind and refused. The polite employee did check my tire pressure and confirmed that one tire was low, but again told me I needed the manager’s permission before he could do anything further. When I returned to the manager, he told me there were no employees available to help and suggested I go to a gas station instead, despite the fact that an employee was standing outside, ready to assist. That employee even shook his head in disappointment when I told him what the manager had said. This experience left me feeling disregarded and unwelcome. I left without service and, regrettably, will not be returning to this location. I hope management reviews this feedback to ensure that future customers receive the courtesy and assistance they deserve.

Amazing professional staff and top-notch service! I bought four new tires and had my lower engine mount repaired—everything was done efficiently and at a great price. On May 30, 2024, I went to this establishment to get all four tires changed on my Mercedes C-Class. I arrived for my 4 o'clock appointment and had a long wait. When the work was done, a female employee told me the wheel lock cracked while her coworker was working on my car, but she stated that she didn't know how it happened. I doubted her explanation and reported it to the manager, Andrew. The person who damaged my vehicle was a young, skinny Black male, assisted by a light-skinned, masculine presence female with dreadlocks. Andrew stated that I only needed to replace the wheel lock and could return for free service with the receipt from the dealership. The next day, May 31, I returned with the replacement wheel lock, expecting a short wait. After over an hour, the same female employee informed a different manager, a heavy-set man with glasses, about the issue, explaining what had happened the day before. Despite this, he continued to prioritize other customers ahead of me. Eventually, the mechanic found a piece of the broken wheel lock stuck in the rim and said he couldn’t fix it because attempting to do so might damage the rim. The manager told me they couldn't fix it and suggested I find another place to remove it to avoid further damage. Throughout the situation, everyone except Andrew treated it like a joke, smirking and acting unprofessionally. I was frustrated but remained calm to avoid further issues with my service. I had to go to the Mercedes-Benz dealership to fix the problem caused by Mavis Discount Tire on 611 Utica Avenue, Brooklyn, NY. I paid over $600 in fees and am still waiting for my reimbursement from Mavis's corporate office more than two weeks later. This entire process inconvenienced me: I had to spend additional money out of pocket, went without a car for a weekend while it was getting repaired, and wasted money on Ubers and gas. I would steer clear of this place due to its extended wait times, lack of professionalism, and disregard for people's property.
