The worst Bank ever there’s always 3 to 4 ppl crowded around 1 computer to help one person and out of the 6 tellers there at their computers on their phones there’s only 2 ppl helping the customers

I joined this bank more than two decades ago . At that time it was restricted to city employees or family members of city employees. I was already a chase customer. But liked the exclusivity of MCU . Over the years I have received many loans with them with excellent terms. Recently MCU has allowed non city employees to join and I believe its a good idea. The more the merrier. Unfortunately acess to MCU ATM is scarce and that means more fees.and the downtown Brooklyn branch ATM is constantly malfunctioning . Recently I emailed customer service about a Bermuda 50 dollar currency I need to deposit. When I Googled the info I was recommended to deposit it at a credit union! So I was expecting finally I could have this converted to US currency which is equal. 48 hours later I was told MCU credit union does not handle foreign currency?. Chase does but you have to go on a search of your own to find the right branch.

The staff members were friendly, knowledgeable and smartly attired . My needs were met in a timely and.relaxed atmosphere . There were no long lines and environment was tastefully decorated, light filled and condicive to peaceful business transaction.

I went to the gateway branch, terrible. The workers there act like they were doing MCUcredit union A favor by working there. Waiting over hour didn't see anybody people that were there before me didn't see anyone oh, just a terrible situation.

Kimberly is a wonderfully helpful and caring patriot of customer service who aids customers needs and is a steward of bedside manners. This soothes my soul knowing we’ll have a wonderful strategic partnership moving forward with MCU!

I needed a new debit card, I called on 08/26/2025 for a new one a Rep told me I should receive it in 7 business days, 7 business days days came and went no new card. I called again on 09/08/2025 I was told a new card would be sent to me BUT I could go into a branch and get a card on the spot LIESSSSSS!!!!!! I waited 3 hours yes 3 hours only to be told by the branch manager ( A tall black guy with nasty looking dreads) and a FAKE VALENTINO BELT that people with appointments are taken first. The MCU rep who told me I could just walk into a branch and get one FORGOT to tell me I needed an appointment. The MCU branch manager ( the one with the nasty dreads and fake Valentino belt) is very rude he needs to take a class in customer service and a class on how to look and act professional.

I must commend Ms. Tiara Eastmond for providing exceptional customer service to me during my recent visit - Wednesday, September 10th, at MCU. She was genuine in her responses, a great listener, and knew the system very well. I wish that all representatives were as well-versed, caring, and with great demeanor. I made it a point to stop by the manager's desk (Mr. Austine Botu) before leaving and tell about my experience. Wonderful job, Ms. Eastmond! Please keep up the good work!

they have you wait over three 3 hour see some one just so debit card then tell you have wait 7 days new card . it on one good work very kind sweet and respectful . and the rest rude unbelievable rude . it only one good worker at mcu

Bank is crap, tellers are rude. Get the run around. Can’t withdraw your own money. Customer service agent walk around 24/7 doing nothing. Wait time is longggggg. Closing account not referring! Thanks

Greetings, Ms. Sivers assisted me with my lease buyout loan application. She's extremely knowledgeable of this process and made me feel very comfortable while going through all the paperwork. She's truly a great asset to MCU and I will be recommending her to friends and family when they're at this location. Thank you again Ms. Sivers.

I made an appointment for 10:30 got seen at 10:30. Was dealing with Artell Butler,what I can say? I was blessed to have this lady to handle me and my mother. When I say professional at its best, professionallllll. She handle everything with easy and explained every step. While waiting for my response Ché Davis helped me save money with my life insurance. Also professional too. I left very satisfied.

I had the privilege of working with Kimberly who was beyond kind, courteous and incredibly committed to my financial wellbeing. What a gift - and an amazing representative of the MCU Brand! Thank you Kimberly!!!!

If I can give this branch no stars I would the customer service is trash I'm online watching 5 team members help 1 person while the line is crazy than I saw a team member walk an NYPD officer straight to a teller when he just walked threw the door not good don't bank here they make u wait for no reason & waiste your time shame on you mcu everyone is created equally smh

Although it is always busy, the staff is always courteous. Staff here present in a professional manner and are patient. The renovations are beautiful however please note there will always be line due to this being the only MCU in the borough of Brooklyn.

I have been a member at MCU for about 16 years my whole check is deposited in their bank every 2 weeks. I am at the same job. I don't understand why other banks have an internal score they rate you on in order to help you with financial situations but i am always denied by MCU. I might change banks for real.

I had to go in to the Jay Street Brooklyn branch to get a replacement card. The customer service experience was okay. However the wait time just to get a replacement card was an two hours. Not enough staff to accommodate the customers. Absolutely the worst experience. To the point where I don't want to bank with them. All I needed was a replacement card. They should have a separate line or individuals processing card replacements.

Extreme frustration with the service I've received.. Despite having a physical card, I've experience online fraud three times in one month, requiring multiple replacements. After verifying my identity twice, I was told I need to visit in person to resolve the issue, which is an inconvenient. Given 35 years of service, I'm disappointed in the handling of this situation. I feel the practices are outdated. I've decided to close all account with MCU.

After waiting on long line was told I couldn't withdraw funds my daugther had transfered into my acct. The teller that was suppose to assist was in hurry to go on lunch break, told next teller to help me. New construction need new attitude with this group of employees, besides laughing making joke. I'm standing as you enter infront of the person that was to direct me started talking to another co worker.Very unprofessional. The manger was out the acting manger could address my issue told me to come back another day. I'm disabled and I had traveled a distance. Why improve the office where as the attitude of the works sink. Very disappointed, irrespective I've had great experiences, as a retired Banking Financial Officer I know when I'm getting excellent customer service, and when I'm not. The problems always start at the head and flows downward. I question why MCU Never had an issue with my credentials, being I've traveled using same ID same card for years. I sincerely hope that some of my fellow clients get the respect we're due. Very disappointed in the service on this particular day, however not ready to cut ties. Mcu please do better, ATM outside of bank Not safe Thank you.

MCU was highly recommended by colleagues and relatives. Guerline C. was an excellent Member Service Rep. and Intake Specialist. I can say with confidence, that if Guerline C. was processing my Home Loan application I would have been a happy camper...! 5 stars for Guerline C. but 1 star for the awful experiences I had attempting to acquire a Home Loan! A thank you, goes to Manager J. Velez-Digney and Director Colby for helping me remedy the situation!!

I had a fantastic experience working with Kimberly S at Municipal Credit Union. From the moment I walked in, they were courteous, professional, and incredibly helpful. They took the time to understand my needs, explained all my options clearly, and made the entire process smooth and stress-free. Whether it was opening a new account, setting up online banking, or answering my questions, they handled everything with patience and care. It’s rare to find someone so dedicated to providing excellent customer service. Highly recommend working with Kim if you’re visiting this branch!

This MCU doesn't have enough workers. Multiple times I come in and have to wait almost an hour on line. They did new construction and it's less tellers. None of the staff says anything to the customers. There's no urgency with these employees. Jay Street MCU needs to do better

I was encouraged to visit this branch due to the good customer service my friends received here. I went in yesterday and waited over an hour just to not be seen. Upon entering, an employee with a tablet took my first and last name down, told me to have a seat, and said I would be called shortly. I sat in the middle of the waiting area, did not have headphones in, was not distracted, I waited patiently to be called for over an hour. At around 4:50pm, only one employee decided to ask if I was waiting to be seen while the rest of the staff was sitting down and preparing for the end of the day, and then he let me know that the bank was already closed. He went to get the person who checked me in, that person came over with the tablet and it seemed that I was just forgotten. They asked if they could schedule an appointment at this branch for tomorrow, to which I declined because I live 2 hours away. I then asked for a virtual appointment, to which I was initially told yes, then told I had to visit a branch in person for the services I was looking for. I declined and left extremely upset. MCU, the experience I received from your staff yesterday was horrendous. I went into this bank with the intention of being a customer and yet I was not even seen by any of your employees. Despite the technological support to check me in via the tablet used and over 6 employees at their desks with a clear view of the waiting area, I was not addressed until after the bank was closed, and that address was unhelpful as I was not able to even sit at a desk with an employee and discuss what I came into the bank for. MCU, please address this oversight on the part of your employees to prevent this from happening again. I now have a negative opinion of MCU based on my experience and will not be visiting again.

I had the pleasure of working with Kimberly and she was a joy to work with. She explained everything in detail. I went in on Monday and there was a lot of people waiting. It was the first of the month, so its usually like that at the banks. But all the workers were super nice and helpful especially Kimberly! I'm glad I chose MCU.

Best appointment I had. Ms. Kimberly was so nice and very polite during my visit. Gave me so much information that will benefit me now and for the future. Her demeanor was 10/10 and I’m so glad I was matched up with her today. Very easy to set up an account and no complaints once so ever. It was fast and easy. Thank you for having me.
