It is exactly what they say it is. Walked in to check out holiday merchandise and ended up digging through the racks of women's clothes looking for name brand deals. Random housewares are in the basement which made it convenient whwn walking around and running into things you needed.
A fun spot even just to look through if you're not buying.
THIS STORE IS MUCH NICER THAN THE ONE IN SHEEPSHEAD BAY. LADIES CLOTHING IS ALOT NICER. I WISH I LIVED CLOSER TO THIS STORE. I USUALLY STOP OVER HERE ON MY WAY TO STATEN ISLAND. I ALWAYS FIND SOMETHING I WANT OR NEED.
Everytime I come here the associates are resetting the floor. It's Soo annoying makes it difficult to shop. They need to do floor changes before the store opens or schedule a overnight.
Great prices, clean and organized store! Buying several toys for “toys for tots” needed some more girls gifts. Found Barbie dolls for $7.99, bought several. Small price to pay for putting a smile on a child’s face. Will return before Christmas for more toys. Love & peace to all!
First time coming to this location , they had everything that I needed and more . The greeter whose name is Eric was very helpful and kind and even offered to help me and my father with our bags to our car !! Everyone in the store was polite

I was shopping and didn't realize how heavy my bags were. The gentleman who checks receipts, Eric, went above and beyond for me. He carried my bags to my car for me. The whole team, including the manager, Isreal, is absolutely phenomenal. I'm very grateful.
I love this store great clothing at reasonable prices, housewares, bedding sets, bathroom supplies, small electronics, toys, everything at reasonable prices. I would love to see them take over where century 21 was and expand the amount of items they sell

popular finds if you really look around. I really recomment it for those bargain concious looking for quality at a bargain price.
DII is great for getting cheap products but I highly recommend you look into why the socks are cheap. Regarding clothes, I've had no issues with the shirts or pants/jeans but I did buy a 6 pair of socks bundle for 2.99 that smelled terrible and a flea was on it (found out at home). This was when I didn't question why anything was cheap but now I know why, DII is the type of store to purchase discounted clothes that would likely get trashed for pennies on the dollar so they can sell it. In business, this is not bad at all. But because of this, there is no quality control so the clothes may be a battle field in terms of hygene.
Back to the sock I bought for $2.99. So after I opened the bundle and inspected the socks a the flea jumped out from inside the seam, luckily my senior cat wasn't in the room and the room is a short distance from her room (kitty owned the living room) so she never (or to my knowledge) got bit. The flea hid somewhere under my bed and forced me to wear a clean pair of socks to bed because it had bitten me for a snack (3 dots and extreme itchiness the next day). I'm also lucky there was only 1 flea because it could have reproduced and that would've made problems for sure.
Still before this experience, I would rate DII 5 stars because the clothes are cheap and the shirts and underwear + Jeans have been great. It didn't have me philosophically questioning the prices or their business. It's still fine for clothes but now instead of going here for another shirt for the season, I'll continue to wash what I have and make due.
After all, no one cares about how you look. If they don't know you, they'll move on with they're day. So long as I'm not stinky and the colors match, I don't care either.
Back to the clothes and why it's ok to buy here occasionally; while some shirts are cheaper than others, feel the fabric for that soft high quality feel for the best bargain or branded clothes that didn't fully pass the quality test but is cheap and looks nice. You can't go wrong there. Only the socks have me wary. Remember to look into the socks more, if they stink (like basement or just ?), it's best you don't inspect it for an unwanted guess. For now, I only buy household supplies/containers.
Also stick away from their foods! I bought chips twice and each time I had diarrhea. So it's definitely expiring or low quality. Your health is the most important part of your life so don't tarnish it with expiring or low quality foods. They may be cheaply priced and you think you have a bargain, but it's using your other currency: Your life.
The true measure of a business is how it handles problems. Yesterday I had an issue with a Christmas tree and the manager, Raina I believe, handled it in the most professional, efficient and friendly way. She did this even though it was the end of an obviously long day, and the issue was nuanced. I'll be back and I'd recommend this store unconditionally. Bravo.
Nice deals on clothing and nice finds on toys or household things. They have some tech stuff like headphones. They have snacks. I bought a Tommy hilfiger coat there for $49.99 dollars it is very lightweight and warm.

I love this store for the bargains on clothing. Men's golf shirts 3.99-6.99. huh? I bought several. Check the sizes. Buy at least one or two sizes bigger than you wear. Chinese makers are smaller.
DII has different locations and at each location you may find something that another location doesn't have. Definitely better than Jack's and similar to Lot Less stores, the only exception is "you will definitely find a discount here. I like this one and the ones in Manhattan in Washington Heights and East Harlem
They carry a large selection of clothes for every age and gender as well as every day household items. Some of the merchandise are irregular, but the prices are unbeatable. New stock comes in regularly so I make a point of stopping by to see what's new.
Excellent store. It’s tight but you will score so many excellent deals here. I found a Ralph Lauren beautiful dress for 9.99$, Calvin Klein bras, jeans from Macy’s.. all at amazing prices. Store is immaculate and very organized. Staff is usually very helpful and kind.
This store is very busy and packed with merchandise.
That being said, I don't know how they do it. The store is always well organized and clean. I mean nothing is out of place! Ever. It's amazing. Good customer service, too.

I love the amazing prices here. Definitely unmatchable prices. I like to get their snacks and sometimes their clothes. The toys are always worth it if you have some kids to shop for ! Good selection of household items too in the basement. I recommend this place for Christmas decorations for sure !!
Lapin and I visit this store very often to pick up discounted items such as household goods, beach gear, beauty items, and sometimes socks. They have a wide selection of goods and it takes up two floors. The store is neatly organized and well stocked. The cashiers are usually high school students who are sometimes rude but I find the older cashiers and security guards to be friendly and attentive. I would recommend visiting if you are in the area as you will never know what you might find!
All the workers there are so friendly. They have such great prices and the products are good. Prices are unbelievable. They carry things for storage, kitchen bathroom bedroom. Clothing for men women and children. Snacks and more. One of my favorite places to shop for years.
