The guy who works in this shop really loves his job. I just stopped here to pump my bike. He did it for free and gave some advices for maintenance of the bike. It was the best experience for me as a client. Next time if I have issues with the bike I will come to this place for maintenance and repair.

I bought a cheap bike at Zookies back in the day but man could that thing fly. I went in to get a flat change a few years ago (some other store in some other neighborhood I forget that probably closed) and the guy convinced me to replace the cassette and it never rode the same. Today I got the chain and cassette replaced at Harvest and the thing is flying again. These guys are the best shop open that I know of right now. They are the real deal bike wizards. So glad to have my old bike back and I'll be using it a lot more now!

Have been bringing my bikes here for years, daily commuter. Fast turn around, reasonable prices, employees know their shit and are super chill, work has always been good. Moved neighborhoods and have tried a few other shops, am back to taking the train to bring my bike here.

A great shop. Good, knowledgeable people who are very helpful. Prices always reasonable. The shop cats are useless, but that's their job and they do it well. They are very affectionate though, if they're not sleeping.

$20 for a flat tire fix sounds great but it’s too good to be true. Had to get the tire fixed three times in two months so it’s not worth it. The people were fast but it seems that the replacement inner tubes are on the cheaper side. Added an extra star bc they have shop cats.

The guys working here were so helpful and nice!!! They seemed genuinely in the business of improving my bike and not just running up the total like some other shops I've been to. I brought my bike in not satisfied with how it's been riding but not exactly knowing what I should fix or upgrade. I even joked about just buying a new bike altogether. Instead, they walked me through all their suggestions and the itemized cost (prices are so fair!!). They got my bike done within a matter of hours and it rides like a brand new bike, def recommend.

First off, I’m a cyclist. I ride to work rain, shine, or snow. I put thousands of miles on my bikes every year. I’ve also taken apart and put back together a bike or two, so I know my way around a wrench. I like fixing things myself, but after having my daily rider hang for a month I’d thought I’d bite the bullet and take it to these guys. I recently crossed the state of NY from Brooklyn to Niagara Falls (600 miles), and I had these guys tune up my touring bike before the ride. I had zero mechanical issues in that 600 mile ride. That gave me the confidence to bring my daily rider in for the full service. And boy, am I glad I did. After 4 and 1/2 years and thousands of miles, the parts had taken a wearing. To the point I couldn’t shift. Now, I messed around with it a bit, and couldn’t figure out the problem. I took it in for the works, and now it runs better than new. Since I bought it, there had always been play in the bottom bracket. After a full tune up, it feels like a premium bike. 10/10 on mechanical skills. Price: As of writing this, it seems like these guys run a really honest shop. They’re not going to hit you for stuff you don’t need. It seems like this shop just hires guys who like to work on bikes. I’m no bike mechanic, but I know enough to understand if I’m getting had (I worked at an auto garage in college and definitely don’t trust most mechanics). These guys charge a fair price, and do good work. 600 miles straight across NY and my daily commuter brought back to life after years of daily abuse attest to it. For anyone putting serious miles on their bike, or need a tune up for riding season, these guys do good work and are fairly priced. So overall, these guys have won my trust. Whenever I’m too busy to fix something myself or can’t figure it out, I’m bringing it to these guys. They also sell refurbished bikes. For a bit cheaper than a new bike, you can get a retro bike that’s been refurbished. I’ve already got too many bikes, and am picky about which new ones I add, but if you’re looking to pickup your first ride I might check these guys out. You could probably find a cheaper retro bike on FB marketplace, but you’ll be banking that you can tune it up. For the price, you’re adding in that it’s been completely adjusted and refurbished by an expert and is ready for thousands of miles of fun. Hope that was helpful amigos, cheers ?

I’ve been going to Harvest for years and have never been disappointed. This is what a bike shop should be. Straightforward, knowledgeable mechanics, fair prices, some cats to play with while you wait. They have a great selection of used bikes too.

They have a piano and 2 cats, Phil and Jenny. The white brick fence around the block produces mystery cigarettes. The no hecks given attitude of this place is genuine. Little Mo next door- free water and loiter on the bench. All your needs met

Excellent service, the people here are very kind, helpful, and happy to share their knowledge. Walked me through the process of buying a vintage bike (refurbished in house) and ended up getting my favorite bike I’ve ever owned. Since then they’ve been very helpful with tune-ups and parts I’ve needed under the bike’s warranty. If you’re buying a bike in Brooklyn (or anywhere in the city, really), I highly recommend them.

Originally bought an inner tube here so I could fix my flat but after replacing my tire was still flat. So I brought my bike in to get fixed and told them I thought maybe I punctured it when I replaced it. They told me it would be ready in a couple hours and they’d call me. I didn’t receive a call so went in to pick it up next day. I picked it up and went home. I live 10 minutes away and by the time I got home my tire was flat again. Tried pumping it at home and just went flat. Opened my tire to find a completely scrunched tube and a hole. I would not recommend. Also adding I was the first customer in the shop for the day. Feel like I wasted my money.

This bike shop provides great service and are very knowledgeable. They helped put together a project bike of mine of new parts bought during the pandemic. It came out very nice and have no issues riding it. Still riding smooth from when built in May

Super nice people. Found a budget bike that I liked. The front wheel of the bike was an easy release so he threw in a free cable with my purchase. Great customer service. Love my new bike :)

Super honest workers, gave me a few bikes to choose from within my price range, explained plenty to me on pricing, parts, what makes a good or bad bike, and what makes a bike more expensive than another. as a first time buyer that was dope, you want to feel informed and not feel like your gonna get jipped so respect ✊?. I came home w a nice bike & plenty of knowledge.

Best bike shop in the area!!! Got my busted commuter bike tuned up and now she rides like a charm. The dudes there are super knowledgeable and the vibes are right. He went above and beyond to help me get the perfect fit, even when I don't know any of the lingo. They also have loads of affordable commuter bikes for sale. Aaand a few extremely sweet cats live here. Couldn't recommend more.

Went above and beyond to address my bikes concerns! I had left my bike outside for a year and needed a tuneup and for some previously shoddy work on my brakes to be fixed. Stayed under my budget for upgrades though they could’ve easily thrown some unneeded stuff on there go up to my limit. Bike was ready a day early. Were patient and kind to a novice. Adorable shop cats too :)

I am a health care practitioner who works in the area and use my bike every workday instead of a car or public transportation. I have stopped by the Harvest Cyclery several times. Each time I do, it is like I have been transported back up to Vermont, into a LBS, with kind, knowledgable, and professional staff. Once I had brand new pedal I had purchased online but the threads were acting up preventing me from installing it. They helped out and would not take any payment. Of course they got a customer for life. Just Friday 10/8/21 I got a flat and needed a new tire. They showed me several tires and made some recommendations. I picked one and could not be happier. If you want professionalism, honesty, and quality service, make Harvest Cyclery your LBS. You will forever be in good hands. Plus they have awesome cats that will help you pass the brief waiting time and they purr with affection around you!

Stopped by to fill my tires (they keep a pump outside) and asked if I could buy a new cap for my air valve, the guy outside just gave me one for free. Between that kindness and the kitty I see in the window when walking by, I decided to give this place my business when buying my own pump. Nice service and the cat was as soft as I'd expected.

One of the best bike shops in town. Not only did they find my a vintage bike that fits my petite frame, but they worked with me to make sure the seat and handles felt comfortable. Great mechanics. And you don't get that intimidating feeling when you walk into a bike store. Plus they have really cute cats.

Been coming here for a few years now and every time it's been great. I've had minor stuff taken care of as well as bigger repairs. Friendly staff, decent prices, good work. Plus they provide great advice on what your best course of action is. Sometimes they've advised me against getting work done when it was unnecessary, which I see as a sign of honesty. They clearly love bikes and want you to have a nice ride.

I got my bike here at the beginning of 2019 and it was the best decision I’ve made in a long while. Good pricing and super helpful staff. They care about making sure my bike is running right, so I always come here for repairs or other needs. If you go, be sure to toss a few bucks their way for a job well done.

Brought a bike for the first time in 10 years, when the pandemic hit. Staff was very knowledgeable about the products. They didn't try to up sell me as I had little info about which bike/brands to look for. I brought a 6 speed Schwinn, and the accessories from here. If you buy a bike and the accessories in the same day you get 10% off the accessories. I got a helmet, lights, phone mount, and a water bottle. I did reccomend this shop to two people who went and had their bikes serviced there. Since everyone is buying a bike now or needs one serviced, you can expect a little wait when you go, 15-20 depending on how many people are there. I have even dropped my bike off and went back an hour later. If you live in the area that is a solid option. All in all I had a great experience here.

My new go-to spot for sure. Best bike shop in the neighborhood. Knowledgeable, friendly, consistent stock of bike supplies. Bought my lock and helmet here, then came back a couple weeks later for lights and a bell, which they installed for me. I also asked Nick to take a look at my handlebars which had started to roll. He tightened and adjusted everything in a matter of minutes, and didn’t even charge for doing it. He also managed to help another customer get set up for a repair while simultaneously helping me. These guys are swamped with everyone starting to bike because of the pandemic, but I’ve had two excellent experiences. Thanks guys!

Had a great experience! I came to the shop needing a helmet and a lock. Nick helped me out and was superb! Showed me all the options available from a safe distance. I really appreciate the rules in place during the pandemic to keep staff and customers safe. Please be considerate! Bikes are in extremely high demand right now and the folks here are working as hard as possible to keep everyone safe and happy!

First review on here and doing it because I was so impressed with Harvest. Got my bike stolen and needed a new whip. Talked with Kevin for awhile and went through a few test runs on some bikes. They weren’t the best fit for me and Kevin kept working with me on finding the one. Gave it some time and they built up the perfect bike for me. If you’re looking for a fair-priced refurbished bike with great customer service, this is the place.

Great bikes and excellent work done. The most affordable source of used but quality bikes I could find. My only issue is that I was told a lower price by one person than by the guy who actually ended up working with me, but the second person did tell me the final cost upfront, so that may have just been a mistake on the first person's part. They did put on better tires than normal at no extra charge for me (they ran out of the usual ones) and give me a free bell, so can't complain!
