I’ve been a patient of Dr. David Salvage for over two years, and I can honestly say he has been one of the most positive influences in my life. Dr Salvage is brilliant! For the past two decades he has been my psychiatrist. In that time we have traversed the incredible challenges that life has to offer with empathy and discovered solutions. What I have learnt and continue to do so with my sessions is how to take the pain away with pure cognitive relief. A man of integrity, wisdom, insight and empathy. Highly recommended.
I'm a patient of Dr. Salvage's for over ten years for pharmacologic management of a complex condition. He is by far the best psychiatrist I've seen. Compassionate, responsive, and he takes the time to explain everything. Each visit has been at least 45-60 minutes and I can sense that he really cares and has helped me to achieve an outcome that other doctors - as nice as they were - could not.
I called to make an appointment. My call was answered by an answering machine thats outgoing message said "for quicker service response please text". So I left message and followed the audio message by sending a text message also. Despite thinking that a psychiatrist practice should answer the phone. My text was returned wherein writer* stated that Dr.Salvage was available for virtual zoom appointments. An his first availability for an appointment was to be a few days later. PERFECT! I thought as I could save time not having to physically go to his office in Brooklyn. (In retrospect maybe he doesn't have an office) I was also okay with paying the $400 cash the text stated was cost. This practice doesn't take insurance, as I do not recall seeing that offering on website either. Or reading there is any accommodations for the handicapped.* What happen after that I never expected.. I agreed to accept given time and date for an appointment with Dr David Salvage via ZOom and ask how I could prepay the 400US dollars Cash he required to speak to a human for an assessment?
The response via text "I don't think I would be the right doctor to work with you right now"... What, dismissive answer is that?

To bring awareness to those looking for a DR. Whose services are in the field of psychology. My interaction (all though text) despite my leaving 2 audio messages, lacked any clarity or customer service. The distant nature of our communications disenchanted.
**The Dr. Response is a perjure to save on line reputation.. At no time did any correspondence include any psychiatric info aside from requesting an assessment. I stated in the review we never talked to anyone. GASLIGHTING from a Doctor a person who took an oath.. Shame on you

Dr Salvage suggested a medication that was beginning to show promise in clinical treatment. He administers the drug in his office and stayed with me a it gradually wore off. I have severe depression that had become treatment resistant. He stayed with me the whole time and I awoke to him speaking to me. There were 7 sessions in all. His gentle demeanor and clear layout of the procedure put me greatly at ease and honestly it is the best therapeutic intervention I have ever had. With some adjustments to my medications and great therapeutic intervention, I have started reading and painting again. Life gained.
I had the pleasure of working with Dr. Salvage in the context of a long and drawn out custody matter involving many cross petitions for custody, visitation, relocation and orders of protection. Dr. Salvage wrote a very detailed report that was instrumental in the Court proceedings. Additionally, he reviewed his proposed report with counsel explaining the reasoning for certain details and how they could benefit or detriment our arguments. He is a wealth of knowledge and greatly assisted us through certain litigation.
I have been seeing Dr. Salvage for several years. The difference in me has been remarkable. I was a mess, then he got me to regular again. After a break I returned to him again and discovered that I still had room for improvement and am now, possibly for the first time in my life, truly happy. I didn't know what I had been missing.

The most kind he helped me today when I needed the most and when I no one was accepting new patients because of COVID. We had a zoom meeting and he went further to know all my history to help me and also send my medicine to the pharmacy the same day . God put him in my way today no doubts
Dr. Salvage has literally saved the lives of 2 of my family members. He is so kind and caring and his knowledge of psychopharmacology is amazing. Depression and anxiety are difficult to manage long-term and his therapy and med selection has taken us all from some very dark places into a more balanced life filled with happiness. We still struggle, but with Dr. Salvage’s care, we have hope again.
