Food was fresh and cooked to order

Food was good before covid..now it's bland smh even though I asked for seasoning,the flounder not fresh at all!! I will stay with Ocean King on 486Tompkins Ave where the food taste much better??‍♀️

I love the Fried whiting, it’s actually from the sea of Mother Nature not overgrown gmo BS. Great customer service. I wish they were open 7 days a week but hey we can’t have it all ????!!! Fresh food!

Decent prices for good tasting food. Service was pretty speedy and efficient. Many seafood options if you're a seafood lover.

The staff is kind and very courteous. You choose your items, tell them fried/steamed and the seasoning. Then it's prepared fresh and just the way you like it. Good seafood at affordable prices. Plus no long waiting, a great place to get something to eat. Try the yam fries

Ok...so i always knew this place had good (DELICIOUSLY GOOD) fried fish. But i had never tasted or bought their steamed fish...until today. *I must admit it was rather tasty. However i was told i would get 3 pieces of fillet fish with vegetables...but to my dismay, i only got 1 piece of fish. I called back to address the issue...*but they were so polite and the young lady apologized for the mistake, plus the food was so fresh and delicious, i decided to still give them a good review. The respect they showed spoke volumes, and respect is TOP priority when and where i spend my money. Try them...you wont be disappointed.

Best fresh fried fish for your money!! Mainly every place in NYC that has a fried section in the fish market is pre breaded. You have to be careful because most spot don't keep fish at a cold enough temp and once it's spoils it stinks and is bitter. This spot breads as you order and the prices are of something of the early 2000s. Love this spot and you never come out smelling like fried fish ever when you eat in

The food is consistently good & ten times better than BedStuy Fish Fry. Just make sure you call ahead of time. My favorite is fried oysters & hush puppies. Their customer service could get a little better.

I go occasionally. This trip i ordered king fish & fries. I had this twice before & it was amazing. This time not as good. I think the king fish wasn't as fresh as before. Within 6 hours my body rejected it.

I enjoy their food. You may have to wait but it's worth it. Also knowing what you want to order in advance helps speed up the process of ordering and receiving your food.

Fried Fish taste good, 1st time I had the hush puppies which were good also. I tried the steamed vegs, also good, just ask to lighten the seasoning if you have high blood pressure.

Food was great. I haven't had food from this place in a while it was freshly fried and steamed bags delicious and tasty. It reminds me of home made fish and shrimp u would cook up at home I will be stopping by again to get me a fried fish sandwich. I would recommend

4/2021 This store has changed. The signs on the door states no more than six people at a time. The sign on the door states wear a mask. They do not follow there own protocol. I saw a old drunk come in the store with out a mask and order food and the people who work in the store said absolutely not a darn thing . I saw a young man use the same green gloves he use to in the back of the store outside of the store. My Last pick was horrible. The shrimps were awful. The fish was awful The fries did not taste like potatoes. The steam meals wee over seasoned and under cooked. I left me steam meal on my kitchen island for literally a hour and my whole kitchen began to smell like decaying fish. 2020 I was just looking around the neighborhood and I was forced to go into this establishment. I was shocked to see how clean this whole in the wall was. I was truly amazed by the flavor in the food we decided to ordered. Usually these establishments have a heavy hand with breading deep fried food and over seasoning the grilled ones. The food was actually very good. I'm so shocked My guest were so hungry I didn't get to snap as much pictures of what they purchased. The after effect.

Love the food! Considering the sheer volume of business they do, my trip from Fort Greene to this establishment never disappoints. The whiting and salmon are delicious! The steamed vegetables are a must if you’ve not had them yet (having okra in the mix was a pleasant surprise). My only criticism is that they’ve not done a good job of managing the protocol of “6 customers at a time” which they’ve posted on the windows, doors and beams. The shop is ALWAYS overcrowded with patrons who don’t step out after ordering. Not cool.

Well worth the visit. They ask for a maximum of 6 people inside to order and pick up. To wear mask when you come in and they have a sign posted that all items have a .50 cent price increase. I picked yp a whiting sandwich and a tilapia sandwich. They both were cooked well and we enjoyed them.

Very delicious snow crablegs however its very pricey and the people steaming the food don't pay attention to your particular order. Also, they take super long!!! However they do take ebt for seafood and charge you $1 for steaming. Only reason I have a 3 star rating is because of how good the finished product is.

Omg! The meal I had! The food was flavorful, the right amount of lemon and well seasoned! My first time experience was worth the trip! The Customer Service was very good past my own expectations! I will be making this my go to spot!

I simply love the food here. That said, they are horrendous at opening up on time. I believe that they know that when it comes to the quality of their product, they have no peer in this neighborhood, so they open when they feel like it. Like I said, I simply love the food here.

I love their food! It's ALWAYS hot and fresh However, there was a time when I went there, and asked her not to handle my food with the same gloves she was handling money with, and she copped an attitude. Tht was not acceptable to me. When you are handling ppl's food, you are suppose to keep CLEAN gloves on, and not get upset when a customer asks you to do so.

Sea food love’s paradise. Small neighborhood take out place with fast and easily prepared food (steamed or fried) to your liking. Reasonably affordable is the 15 pc Jumbo Shrimp/w French Fries, my favorite $8.00. City Island Who...?

I love this place, it's my go to spot in Brooklyn. This place always makes your food nice and fresh. Their fish never taste old, and is always crispy, and flakey!

Very fresh seafoods and they are so tasty.

Walling by this place dozens of times, i was really hungry and gave it a try. When you go in, theres a large menu posted. People waiting for orders. All kinds of fried fish and other seafood. I went for a fried catfish with french fries and steamed vegetables. I waited about 15 minutes. Paid $14. I loved their steamed vegetables. The asian woman at the cash register asks you if you want mild or spicy seasoning and/or butter. I went for mild with no butter. As I'm sitting waiting for order i see the cook place vegetables in a dish and sprinkles reddish color seasoning, steams it and asked me if i wanted butter, i told him a little bit. The vegetables are placed in a clear plastic bag. When I got home, the vegetables had marinated. It was like a spicy seafood seasoning, soooo good. The fish was cooked well, a good portion and fries were good. I would definitely go back and try something else. They also sell fresh fish and seafood by the pound. Sorry pix shows most my fish eaten.

Wow a fish market that sells fresh fish and freshly cooked fish. The fish and chips was good enough to lure me back. I would definitely suggest this place to my friends. My only pic is of the opening hours.

Food is wonderful!!! It looks shady but so worth it. I had the grilled shrimp and vegetables. OMG you talking about some good food. I requeated spicy with the works, yummy. Sorry no pick but you have to go and try. I don't do fried food much to at all anymore so can't tell you about that aspect.

Nice Brooklyn local fresh seafood market. They steam and fry seafood. They season the food and Vegs well. Island Fish Market have many seafood options for great prices. They even have fresh lobster that they season and fry. The fried lobster is very delicious and juicy not dry!

Great food reasonable prices, fresh never frozen!
