Update: To add to my previous post below, we have just used StereoBuyers for the second time and had another great experience. The process was quick, easy and professional. This firm is my go-to for moving my older equipment along to a new home and Edward and Adam were great to work with. Highly recommended for the 2nd time. Post #1: Just a quick note to thank you for helping us find a new home for my friend's late husband’s equipment. Peter made a potentially sad situation fun and efficient. At 70, I’m not as helpful for this type of thing as I used to be, but Peter took care of everything and he was hard working, thoughtful and considerate. Pete is an impressive representative for your organization and both of us were thrilled to have his help. Based on our experience, I would have no problem recommending Stereo Buyers to anyone.

Quick and courteous service. I submitted photos and a list late on Saturday and had a solid quote by early on Wednesday. I was also handling the initial paper work for a relative (their team was fine with that) and once the quote was in their team Seamlessly transitioned over to that relative. Setup a pickup with him that was convenient, showed up on-time check-in-hand for the transfer. What's unique about StereoBuyers is that they took equipment that was in need of some love to restore it to proper condition. Like a 1974 Linn LP12 TT that certainly could use a rebuild kit. And a Krell amplifier that flat did Not work (likely needed a re-cap after 35 years...). Most other equipment buyers private or commercial Only accept gear in pristine condition. So, this is the best place I've found to clear out that old closet full of gear you've been meaning to empty out for years. I felt their offer on the good pieces was fair, in-line with trade-in values. And, their offer on the rougher pieces sometimes more than I would have expected. Highly recommended....

I had an excellent overall experience. Agreed upon fee was paid at time of equipment receipt. Pick-up took place close to the appointed time. The fellows picking up the equipment were personable, prepared to test the equipment (in this case large speakers) in a timely and effective manner, and impowered to close the deal upon finding the equipment acceptable. In short, StereoBuyers did what they said they would to the letter. You can't ask for much more than that!

StereoBuyers made this transaction very easy and enjoyable. Besides giving me a very fair price on my trade-in, they were very competitively priced on the item I was buying from them, AND they took care of all the shipping arrangements both ways so that I didn't have to worry about it. The new component is exactly as described in their listing, and was very carefully packed to prevent any damage during shipping. Shipping was much faster than I had expected, and the new component is already up and running perfectly in my system. The entire process was seamless and tidy, and could not have been any smoother. I am completely pleased with their A+++ service, and will look forward to doing business with them again in the future.

This is one of the easiest transactions I have ever made for high end equipment. Their offers were fair, they were easy to deal with and extremely responsive. They made selling high-end audio equipment as easy as possible even though there were tears in my eyes as FedEx picked up the cartons at some point in life you have to shed down on a few luxuries and they made it as easy as it could be. I would recommend them to anyone interested in down sizing high-end audio equipment.

They provided a quick, fair quote, and offered prepaid shipping labels for the gear (I am not local to them for pickup). They then tested everything the same day it was delivered and even paid me that day via Paypal within 20 minutes of confirming my preferred payment method. Very satisfied customer here! My story is similar to the rest of the reviews. Saw a writeup in the WSJ and gave them a call. I had at least a dozen different pieces I wanted to sell. They gave me the best offer and Robert came to my house and took everything apart with care. I traded for a used pair of speakers and the price was far and condition like brand new. They also sell new gear and have some great lines. I wouldn't hesitate to do business again or to refer friend's in the area. They drove up from Red Hook to my home in Ct and were exactly on time. Nice dealing and the check cleared!!!
