Went here to buy some shashiko thread and needles for embroidering a patch job. Discovered they had a sashiko guide as well. Store has other craft supply as well from a small selection of fabrics to knitting etc. it’s not huge but it’s definitely got the foundation.
As an absolute beginner, I took the 101 sewing class and was super proud of the tote bag I made. I was super nervous I wouldn’t be able to get the hang of the sewing machine but at the end of the class I felt relaxed and confident using it. The instructor was very hands on and patient with the students. Would recommend the 101 classes to anyone curious about sewing!
I’ve been in a bit of a frenzy since yesterday because I got white paint on my favorite pair of athleisure pants. I asked them if I could dye them and they said it likely wouldn’t work because of the type of fabric, but then gave me instructions on how to salvage them with other products. Appreciated them not trying to predatorily sell me something in my fit of desperation (yes, I’m being dramatic). They also have classes for sewing, knitting, watercolors and more. Looking at their online calendar, they seem to be very popular. Looking forward to taking one of them!
They pack so much in to this small extremely charming space! I've recently done two quilting workshops (shoutout to their wonderful instructor, Diana) and they've left me feeling informed, energized and accomplished. The staff are very kind and I'm looking forward to trying more classes. I'm excited to see how they expand into the new space!
Fun, relaxing sewing class that left me with a sense of accomplishment. (And a new tote bag!) The teacher (Hillary) took the class seriously and imparted skills while at the same time keeping things light and fun. She said we would enter a state of flow and I definitely did. Highly recommend.
I took a Sewing 101 class here and I can't recommend it enough! Diana was my instructor and she was excellent, I left with a new skirt to wear and the confidence to start using a sewing machine on my own for altering clothes. Both Diana and the other employees in the store helped me pick out fabrics and their favorite supplies for the class and to sew on my own. Great way to spend a Sunday afternoon.
I love this spot so much. Small but very cute and good quality selection of yarns, lovely fabrics and tons of other great things for your projects and for gifting! They also do some in person stuff which I haven't tried yet but really want to!
Checked out this store while visiting Brooklyn from Canada. Great small store! Not a ton of cross stitch when I went but worth a look around. Will visit again the next time I'm in the area
I love this place so much! I have taken so many classes here and I come away having had a wonderful time and learning new skills. The staff is super supportive and kind and it's just a wonderful atmosphere!
I attended the Tote Bag Workshop. The overall experience was perfect. Hillary is a fantastic teacher - explains each step, poetically demonstrates with subtle humor lol and perfectly sets a great pace! I am delighted with my new bag!
Owner and Staff are great!!! Wide variety of modern, fresh classes offered. Plenty of supplies to utilize. Good amount of inventory to purchase to support your at-home crafting needs. Live for Summer Friday Crafty Hours. Truly is my happy place.
Took the skirt sewing class. I'm a beginner sewist that needed the confidence to start on the machine I bought that was collecting dust. Although Greenpoint was a bit far out of reach for me, the price and the fact I'd leave the class with a skirt was so enticing. I'm glad I attended. Not only did I learn some tips and tricks, but I'm more confident I can make an even complex skirt soon. I used the 10% discount from the class, in store and bought some yarn that I've always wanted to try.

The service at this store is great! I took a knitting 101 class two months ago which I really enjoyed. The instructor was so patient and the project was easy and achievable for someone new to knitting. I’ve been back a few times to buy yarn for additional projects and the staff is always very helpful and friendly, especially Kristin who has helped me with selecting knitting needles and answering my general knitting questions.
I was instantly taken by the storefront of this shop. I hoped if the outside of this shop was this adorable then the inside would be just as great. I was glad that I was right. This shop is completely charming from top to bottom. I was in awe of everything I saw. I loved how everything was beautifully presented. If you are looking for a great craft store then Brooklyn Craft Company is the one you are looking for. I loved how the shop had all kinds of craft kits for people of all ages. I loved how the shop has all the tools and supplies that a person needs for sewing and knitting. I loved their embroidery crafts. They have a great supply of yarns and fabrics in a rainbow of colors. The shop even has sewing machines for your projects. I also learned that the shop offers classes for all sorts of crafts. As I said before in my other reviews, there should be more shops like these in New York because it gives people so much joy and wonder.

Five stars for Diana and the sewing workshops here. I’ve taken the skirt sewing 101 workshop and the slip dress workshop. The staff here have always been kind, attentive, patient, and knowledgeable.
I took a beginning knitting class today. The class was great, the instructor was very detail oriented and patient. The store has a lot of merchandise for such a small space. It’s organized and everything is easy to get to. They offer a discount on supplies for a class. After my class I did some more shopping- they have a small curated selection of fabrics including quilting cotton and canvas. Ruby Star, Melody Miller type fabrics. The gal working behind the counter is very knowledgeable and super friendly. She was able to answer my sewing related questions and she was also very helpful with knitting questions from another customer. Great store, good value and atmosphere!!
LOVE this local craft spot. I'm new to knitting and every staff person I encountered has been so helpful and caring. I also took a class here and it was INCREDIBLE. The instructor was so patient and I learned so much. Definitely recommend!
I've taken 2 garment classes at Brooklyn Craft Company and each time, they have been wonderful. The staff is knowledgeable , the teachers have been super helpful and patient and I have never left empty handed. The fabrics are specially curated and all their items seem hand selected to bring only the best quality and novel pieces. Love love love this place.
One of my favorite neighborhood haunts. The ladies who work there are fantastic and friendly. I love the classes and the items they have for sale. I also love the fabrics and in loving this new hobby of mine!
I love macrame and other yarn art crafts. The staff here is very knowledgeable and helpful for beginners. On my first visit, they were able to advise me on the type of cord and amount needed for projects I was working on. I am now a regular customer because I love supporting my local craft stores! They also offer classes that I’m interested in taking one of these days when I have time.
Claire came to our office for a macrame class and I felt compelled to write a review. First off, we LOVED the class. She made it so simple for everyone to follow along and i think their was a great balance of her showing us the stitches and yet having some time to work at your own pace. Also, we got to make the sweetest macrame wall hanging and we are eager to learn more. Honestly, Claire enhance the entire class. She was so calm, funny, and really just a great teacher! We will definitely be in to try some classes. Thanks again!! and Kudos to Claire!!
