I didn’t go to store but had items delivered. The shopper was able to get everything on my list except one item. This is a plus

Usually appears ransacked, always in a state of unboxing/stocking. That being said I go for the detergent prices and snacks when Dollar Tree (same company) is out. Cashiers remain like my name: stoic. All seem to be unhappy drones. When you look around the store you can see why. Every Family Dollar I've seen in Brooklyn remind me of the run down, depressing appearances of Kmarts in the South: dingy floors, institutional lighting and the like. Update, 2 yrs later: Dollar Tree is closed, nothing new here has changed. Found sticky substance on some products, asked for hand sanitizer, was told to buy some, none offered; no movement to clean sticky substances off the product (Reeses Peanut Butter Cups). Clearly the Lord's way of saying I didn't need it anyway. ?

Store is always stocked but the cashier is very unpleasant and unwelcoming

What type of customer service they have in that store? The cashier on the phone this morning I was asking Her questions and she was more focused on Speaking on the phone. Didn’t know the price of the product I was purchasing and gave me The wrong price.

Disappointed by Lack of Basic Courtesy I stopped by the Family Dollar in Fulton to grab a few quick items and was surprised when I asked to use the restroom and was told it wasn’t available to customers. I understand that some stores have policies in place, but it felt frustrating—especially since I was actively shopping and spending money there. The store itself was clean and had what I needed, but being denied access to a restroom as a paying customer left a bad impression. A little more flexibility or at least a clear explanation would’ve gone a long way. I hope management considers making restrooms available, especially for families or those with urgent needs. It’s a small gesture that makes a big difference in customer experience.

This was my second time at this particular family Dollar. They have everything with kind and courteous workers to assist you.

This family dollar has a scramming machine that takes your food stamps and your cash off your benefits card the first time my husband spotted it the second time this week it got me I thought when told the manager he was going to do something about it most likely he didn’t he to need to check his Camera and see who putting those scramming in the part that swipe your part and whoever doing that needs to be locked up

This location was fully stocked, well organized and clean. Frankly, it is unlike all other Family Dollar stores in the area. I had a good shopping experience here.

Support staff is helpful, but engages in persiflage better suited for personal time. The store suffers from many design inefficiencies. Do better.

I LOVE THIS LOCATION. THE WORKERS ARE VERY COURTEOUS AND KNOWLEDGEABLE ON THE PRODUCTS AND THEIR WHEREABOUTS. THEY ARE VERY ATTENTIVE TO EACH AND EVERY CUSTOMER EQUALLY AND PROFESSIONALLY.

I've been coming to this location for many years and COWBOY has been such a blessing and a help to me and many other customers as well. He always has a great attitude. Every time I come to the store and see COWBOY I know I will have a great shopping experience and a good laugh! It's great to visit a store where staff cares about what they do! Thank you Family Dollar and COWBOY for all that you do!

This place is big. Not sure about cleanliness. I seen it a bit worst then 2day 4-28-24. Place is not well stocked when I'm there Saturdays, or Tuesdays. They have what I'm looking for of things close 2 it every time. Goodie for me.. Prices are very reasonable. But I could always wish it were cleaner though. 4stars is my final statement.

One of the WORST, family dollar locations in Brooklyn! The staff always claims the air doesn't work to fill balloons just because they don't want to do it. The store is always filthy! The organization of the store is terrible! The workers look very unkempt! Shelves are NEVER fully stocked. This location needs to shutdown or overhaul the staff with individuals that understand what working in a customer service/public facing position actually is!!!

The stor had what I wanted, but the shelves were missing a lot of products. The aisles were less cluttered than when I usually shop there.

Sorry to say it like this but this place is complete trash. I went in to get a birthday card for someone today and they have old Thanksgiving cards and cards for grandson's, grandchildren, get well soon and that's all. It’s also sloppy! You can tell that section hasn't been touched in years. I will not be returning.

I was just in store on 10/30 around 3:45 when i was profiled by manager n a staff, followed around n approached n told that put something in my bag...i showed my bag n they did not see any items. I ask manager y i was profiled n accussed...she apologised however the damage w done...Im a probation officer a it is beyond embarrassing n humiliating..

This is probably the best maintained Family Dollar in the area. It doesn't look like a junkyard like the others do and the staff is very polite. The actually greet you when you walk in the store!

Few days ago I was pick up a few thing from family dollar and I my card was not work I was not able to buy anything that day but when I came back the next day as soon as I walk in the store the manager told me is everything good because it took me all day to put the things you pick up and did back. I told I’m ok he ask again are you sure. At this point I was not feel like that he did want to buy anything I still got a few items but the a different employee. Said to me are you sure that you can buy everything here and started to break down how much of every item that I pick very slowly like if I did know how much everything was I feel the manager and the employees was making fun of me in front of other people in the store the action they took with me was rude and it makes me feel embarrassed to go back in to this location again.

I just left this store and I am disgusted by their service. I got on a line and the cashier rudely told me, “the line is over there” without ever looking at me. Then when I get on the other line and I think I’m about to be helped, the next cashier tells me that she is now on lunch. I work in customer service and am shocked by the level of unprofessionalism I experienced. The “manager” was no better so I am not surprised by the staff.

I've only been shopping here for a month and most of the employees working here are rude and have HORRIBLE customer service skills. How do they keep their jobs? I don't like stepping foot in this store but I like the prices and I just downloaded the app to save $. They need a whole new staff on board or a new training on great customer service! Also, the store is dirty and unorganized. You can barely walk through certain aisels...

Cashiers are very quick. Even when there's a line, it moves pretty quickly, unlike other family dollars I have been to. (Mind you this is with only 2 cashiers). Great job guys.

Most times just one cashier available with long lines. Very cheap priced items store wide, but most what's considered 'groceries' are completely unhealthy and will likely do more harm to our bodies than anything else.

Been coming here for almost ten years. This is the place for value on household cleaning items. There are major problems with this store, however. Management shifts every few months because it seems no one can handle it. There's a lot of vitriol from the customers, often making this an unpleasant and even dangerous place to work, even in broad daylight. But then again, the anger among the workers is always present too, sometimes only serving to push the irate customers over the edge. On several occasions I stood in line while the workers scrambled to call the police to eject an unruly customer. Other times, brawls broke out as people tried to cut other customers in line. I find that the rudeness from the employees occurs most when you have to interact with them on any level. Politeness is often rewarded with still more rudeness from the staff. Many appear burned out at the job. The little things like "how are you", "thank you" and "have a good day" are lost on them, and only seem to infuriate them more. There is also a fair amount of racial tension in the neighborhood at large, and it spills out into this and many other retail stores in the area. Over nine years+, I've seen a lot of people come and go. Many seemed as though they'd never had a job before, given their age and lack of skill. The good workers don't last long, the worst of them stay for years. Your experience in the store depends very much on which particular set of employees happens to be working. The simplest things become nearly impossible to accomplish when all the wrong people are involved. We see that every time the checkout line is 20 people long, arching through the aisles. This is quite normal for this location, because though there are 3 working registers in-store, they only ever have one overworked, frustrated & hopeless employee actually working the line. The others busy themselves with restocking the shelves & standing guard for shoplifters, no matter how many people are on the line. There are also technical issues with the registers that are completely out of the staff's control, clearly neglected by Corporate for years. I frequent the store for cleaning supplies. They carry a lot of generic products that are actually quite good. The fake Windex does the job. The Swiffer pads are just $5.00/12 pads. The large generic jugs of white vinegar are just a dollar. One can get laundry supplies for $5.00 or less. Go across the street to the Chinese-run Dollar Store and you'll find these items marked up by .25-$1.00 more each, which adds up quickly. By comparison, a haul of $25.00 at Family Dollar can last weeks with the right center of frugality. My best advice is to go and shop in bulk, buying as much as you can carry, so that you lessen the number of times you need to visit. In the last year, it's been the only way I can tolerate Family Dollar at all.

They sell a little bit of everything for a cheaper price. Good quality products from food to tools and everything in between. So if your looking for a card to a radio, TV dinners or uncooked meats to candy or gum, cold sodas or waters. You name it they got it, your one stop shopping needs. And handsome to pretty smiles all day!!!...???

On Sunday August 28 2016 I walked into the Family Dollar on Fulton St (1090) at about 5pm to purchase men's deodorant (RightGuard). At the time there was none on the shelves (mostly no kind of deodorant was available). I asked a staff member when would the item be available. He told me Monday. I came back Monday and the shelves looked exactly the same. I asked another staff member the question. The answer that it would be available Tuesday. I came back today and the shelves where the as the to previous time I entered the store so I left. I have noticed since new management and staff members have started working there it has not been as well kept as it was in the past. P.S All the pack out containers have been in font of the shelves since I entered the store on Sunday. I'm sure if you send some to check right now you will see everything that I have stated is true. Family dollar is the place to go for value. If you want to pay less for everyday items, go here. They have all the convenience items. The store is organized well. The staff is good.
