Had a problem with my back tire and went to two other shops before, but nobody really fixed it. These guys solved it in 20 minutes, super fair price, and did an amazing job. Really appreciate it – highly recommend!
Absolutely love these guys. Walked in trying to get a pair of clip in shoes for the first time today and Matt was nothing but kind and helpful walking me through all the differences between the different cleats and shoe options. Spent an hour in store and walked out with a very happy first purchase. While installing the pedals was a fee (wouldn't expect any less), they offered to tune up a couple of other random bits of my bike at no extra charge and that was extremely kind of them. Love these guys would come back again in a heartbeat
Just wanted to thank Hilltop and their team for their fantastic customer support. I had an issue with a product I bought there, and with no hesitation they took care of it. The staff is friendly, great vibe and of course incredible bikes.
The team at Hilltop in Williamsburg took such incredible care of me I feel so lucky!!! I have been to this bike shop/store several times before but I am FINALLY writing my review. I love where this shop is located; right off of a high traffic bike path in the beautiful area of Williamsburg, Brooklyn.
The store is extremely clean and organized. The staff are all completely friendly, knowledgeable and ready to help out.
On this day particularly, I was looking for lubrication for my chain, so I called in. I was greeted and given an ample amount of information. When I rode in, I was given even more information which I ALWAYS appreciate as a customer because I now can make an INFORMED decision.
The staff are always pleasant and willing to help out and you can chat it up with them about anything cycling related as a few of them actually race.
It is always a great vibe when I go to that store and I appreciate them very much. Keep up the great work!!!

Hilltop Bicycles on Kent Ave is hands down one of the best bike shops in Brooklyn. I recently came in with an issue on the rear cassette of my bike, and the team couldn’t have been more helpful. They quickly figured out what part I needed, found a solution, and even installed it for me on the spot using a special tool and ready to ride, no hassle.
The vibe in the shop is super relaxed. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about bikes (and there jazz playlist in the shop is just as good as the service). They’ve done a great bike fit for me in the past too, which really improved my ride.
Top-notch mechanics, great atmosphere, and genuinely good people. Highly recommend!
Really decent folks at this bike shop! They really helped me out of a jam when I was riding up Kent and managed to wrap my cargo net solidly around my rear axle. Managed to get it off and get me back rolling and wouldn’t take a dime for it. I will certainly come back if I need work on my bike or am looking for new wheels. Thanks!

Alberto, and the team at Hilltop are first-class. Not only do they do incredibly clean and detailed work - but take the time you educate you. I would recommend them to everyone. Even if the shop is a little further than other shops closer to my home and office, the experience is always excellent and further deepens my love for this sport, having the support they deliver with a smile. Sounds cheesy, but I really mean it.
Very amazed. Drop off both my boys bike to get repaired. Was done in a timely manner. Some parts was even upgraded. Fantastic customer service. High quality work. They also did a safety check to make sure all old parts and new parts are compatible and in working order. Customer service is outstanding. 5⭐️’s is an understatement. They deserve 10. I will buy my new bike from them next time. Both my boys 11 and 9 was so excited they almost past out when they saw their bikes looked amazing.
Very helpful and knowledgeable folks. The day I went, the manager and both technicians showed interest in my small problem and tried to help, with no attitude. And they explained everything. It's not the perfect store if you are a family on a budget looking for simple bikes- most machines there are very high performance and priced accordingly.
Hilltop helped rebuild my gravel bike after I got hit by a car and my frame was totaled. Store manager Sam used great attention to detail and helped me find and replace a specialized frame which was out of stock almost everywhere… they had the frame shipped to the store from another shop, and the WB shop rebuilt the bike with a lot of pride and care. Thank you for getting me back on the road!
Daniel went above and beyond to help me with a bike fit today. Not only was he accommodating when I was running late, but he extended the session to answer all my questions and make sure everything felt great. I didn't even expect to get such specific analysis and adjustments, but was extremely impressed and thankful for the attention to detail. What a pro! Seems like a great shop and team in general. Awesome bike shop. I did a RETÜL bike fit to get the perfect sizing before buying a new bike and I’m so glad I did. The bike fits like an absolute dream. My fitter Daniel has been friendly and really knowledgeable about exactly what we needed to do to make things feel perfect, the rest of the team also helped fix a rubbing brake and helped with some cabling on the bike. Massively recommend this shop. Go grab your new whip off them. ??
I probably visit this place more than I visit the local supermarket. The staff is extremely friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. From selecting a bike, to accessories, these guys are great. I do recommend their fitting service as well.
Edit August 2023: they hired a new mechanic. I came in for a drivetrain cleaning. My bike was returned to me without derailleur tension cables being adjusted. Mechanic tells me I didn’t ask them to do it so they didn’t. One would imagine that’s part of the service. My bike also had a flat front tire and a new issue with the left brake lever sticking. I was misquoted the time it’d take for the issue to be solved via a warranty claim. I ended up picking up my bike early while they wait for a replacement lever, now, with a new issue. The front brake pads and rotor make an extremely annoying whining sound at low speeds and a clicking noise along with a vibration at higher speeds. On a positive note, they were able to seemingly fix the original issue with the brake lever by cleaning it. I am disappointed with the lack of detail oriented work from this new mechanic. I shouldn’t receive a bike after service with more issues than I had left it with.
I want to emphasize that the rest of the staff is absolutely delightful.
September 2023:
I finally got a call that my replacement lever arrived. I think it's been a month at this point. Sebastian, the store manager, offered to install it himself. Since the lever issue was resolved during a previous visit, I decided to forego the warranty replacement so as to reduce waste. I realize i'm taking a risk for if it returns, I'll have to go through the process again. My hope is that it was dirt that was introduced somewhere in the lever and a proper cleaning fixed it.
Same day, the store supervisor, Daniel, installed some new brake pads and gave me instructions on how to wear them in. I did pay for the service since it wasn't too expensive. No more whining from the brakes, and the braking power actually increased significantly.
My bike is back in good shape thanks to Sebastian and Daniel. I really encourage to work with the managers if you have a poor experience like I did because it was worth it.
Excellent shop. Good location, Great products, EXCELLENT PEOPLE. Highly recommend!!! Sebastian is AMAZING. The atmosphere is welcoming, the team is super informative and kind. I would not hesitate to recommend this shop to ANYONE whether you need a speciality part for a $15,000 bike, or if your beat up commuter bike needs a tune up, these guys treat EVERYONE well.
This is a top tier shop. You really get the best of the both worlds: the quality, professionalism and reliability from Specialized backing combined with the welcoming feel, warmth and personalized recommendations you’d expect from a neighborhood shop. I did various test rides over a few month period and then they were able to find the perfect bike for me. Retul with Danny was incredible. Never been so comfortable on an aggressive bike. Sebastian is just the best, someone who really cares about your experience. He’s just as excited for you as you are on the best day of the year— new bike day!

I worked with Sebastian and Cesar, and I can’t say enough good things about these guys. They both spent a great deal of time with me to make sure I was happy. They were extremely patient with me and made sure I was comfortable through the entire process. I really got a one-on-one shopping experience.
I especially want to give credit to Cesar, who went above and beyond for me. He not only properly fit me for my bike and shoes, but he also got me involved in the cycling community. I’m extremely grateful for this is and won’t ever forget it. And while I really love my new bike, this is the most important thing I walked away with.
