I had a love seat with high quality herringbone upholstering, which over the years ripped on the seat. I found fabric which closely matched what I had, and called J&C. They picked up the loveseat and my fabric, and in three weeks, I had a beautifully re-upholstered love seat back, at a very reasonable price. Excellent work, fair price!

Excellent work, reasonably priced and fast. I really can’t recommend enough and am actively looking for projects that they can help with in the house. Custom upholstery is not unattainable and can be much easier to get the perfect item for your space.

J&C Custom Upholstery does a great job at repairing damaged furniture. My dog chewed up an expensive chair. I was able to purchase the fabric from the manufacturer and give it to J&C to make the repairs. The chair looks like brand new. Excellent job!

Great craftsmanship! We had an armchair that needed to be reupholstered because the seat's cushion had been worn down and the wood had scuff marks from just normal wear and tear. J&C made it look better than brand new!! They were great to work with and made everything easy from communicating, delivery & pick-up, getting a quote, getting the samples, and then payment. I would trust them to do any other work that we may need. There are other upholstery places that I looked into and they had great reviews too but I went with J&C because they offered delivery & pick-up. Their work speaks for itself in the attached photo.

Very happy with the new leather uphostery on our arts and crafts rocker! J+C picked the chair up and delivered the finished work with no muss or fuss. Their price was reasonable, and we are very happy that they were willing to go the trouble to salvage and re-use the original brass tacks. Months after the work was done I sit in this chair every day and it still looks beautiful. Looking forward to getting some of our other tired old chairs recovered by J+C.

This was my first time having anything reupholstered, and J&C made it incredibly easy. The process was quick, and because the seats on my two vintage chairs were small, they even had some black leather on hand for me to choose from. They replaced the old, cracked vinyl with a supple leather that feels like a proper upgrade. Pricing was fair, and I’m really happy with how they brought new life to the chairs I hauled all the way from Amsterdam to NYC. Highly recommend. J&C Custom Upholstery exceeded my expectations. They listened to everything I wanted, even made suggestions that were helpful and they were just great to communicate with. It is obvious their hearts are vested in what they do as it is reflected in the final work product. While researching, I came across this establishment and, after reading the glowing reviews, felt inspired to make my initial call. I was greeted by the friendly voice of Edwin who answered my questions so I could get my project underway. I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention that the glowing reviews alone were enough to win me over.

I brought in an old Eames desk chair with very worn down seat/back/cushioning. When I dropped it off I was very impressed with the operation. It looked like there was some serious artistry was going on their - sculpting with cushioning, etc. - and very hard work, and they were very professional and easy to work with. The price was very reasonable, but I wasn't sure how it was going to turn out... It turned out incredible. I can't believe how comfortable and like new they made it. They definitely added serious value to it as an antique. It was better than I was expecting.

J&C Upholstery was fantastic! We had two chairs upholstered, one in brown leather custom fabric which they helped us source and another in boucle. Both chairs looked amazing and I was so pleased to see them given another life. J&C craftsmanship is superior and they far exceeded our expectations. Really amazing service. They offered the best prices of any upholsterers in Brooklyn (I think I called 10 in total!) and got the work done in about 3 weeks. I had them build some custom cushions for a banquette in my dining room and reupholster an old chair. Definitely was not disappointed with the results at all. Highly recommend!

I provided the velvet fabric and they picked up and delivered my sofa within a few weeks. Price was very reasonable. They responded to all my texts. We had such a great experience reupholstering a leather recliner and ottoman that has been in the family for 40 years. The team at J&C sent us a bunch of leather samples, arranged for a seamless pickup from our apartment, and in 2 weeks, dropped off the finished piece back at our apartment. Super easy and stress-free. The pricing was better/more reasonable than anywhere else that we got quotes from, and the quality, the communication, and craftsmanship are all A+. J&C did a wonderful job reupholstering my mom's classic sofa. Edwin was very conscientious and did everything he said he would. The end product was just beautiful! In fact, it looked like a new sofa in a lovely Ecru fabric with texture. They exceeded our expectations both in quality and turn around. We highly recommend them. Not only was the price great, but the quality of work that was done exceeded expectations. My dining room chairs are now comfortable and I’m proud to show them off. There isn’t much of a store front, or showcase at J&C, but you will find many hard workers just doing their craft. Dropping off, I was having a hard time bringing 8 dining room chairs into the studio and once someone at the shop noticed, everyone stopped doing what they were doing to help out. If I need upholstery work done again, even though it’s a bit of a hike for me, I will be going back to J&C.
