Love coming to this location of Hair & Co - the staff is super friendly and the space is very pleasant. I’ve been getting my haircut by Hilary for over 3 years and she’s the best - very knowledgeable hairstylist and an overall kind human!

I had my first visit to Hair & Co. on Friday, February 20, 2026, and I cannot say enough wonderful things about Martha. She stepped in for me when the stylist originally assigned to me had an emergency, and despite her own life going on, she still showed up with professionalism, grace, and a beautiful spirit. That alone meant so much. Martha gave me a big chop, removing all of my damaged color, and completely transformed my hair. She made me look and feel amazing. Her energy was warm, personable, and reassuring, which made the experience even more special, especially since it was my first time at the salon and such a major change for me. She took her time, made sure I was comfortable, and approached my hair with care and intention. You can tell she genuinely cares about her clients and takes pride in her work. Thank you, Martha, for showing up for me and making my first experience at Hair & Co. so positive and memorable. I am beyond grateful and will absolutely be back!

Kelly-Ann was amazing! She made me feel comfortable right away and took the time to discuss my hair goals. She explained what she was doing and why, which I appreciated. Most importantly, my hair turned out so beautiful!

Editing my review from five star to one star. I was misgendered at this salon after sending two e-mails stating my pronouns and inquiring on which service to book so I wouldn't be overcharged. I ended up booking a more expensive service, and had to wait three business days to come back to the salon and be re-charged. this is something that occurs often at this salon. Barely any hydrating product was put in my hair after my color was applied and washed out. So I'm going to have to re-wash and re-hydrate my hair. I could've just colored my hair at home with the assistance of a friend. The salon doesn't answer their emails, so don't bother inquiring about anything online. I initially gave a five star review JUST BECAUSE my hair managed to stay on my head after the service. But the bar doesn't have to always be in hell, né?

Kelly-Ann was my stylist, and is an absolute gem when it comes to silk pressing. She’s incredibly skilled and always saves my hair. She also provides excellent hair care advice. The overall service and quality are simply amazing! The salon is clean, quiet, and filled with great music. Kelly-Ann is a fantastic stylist with a great personality, making the experience enjoyable. She perfectly matched my desired look with my hair’s needs. Every time Kelly-Ann styles my hair, I receive compliments. And let me tell you, her silk press lasts incredibly well. If you’re looking for a reliable and credible stylist, I highly recommend Kelly-Ann ✨.

Love, love, love Kelly Ann! She’s done a hydrating silk press for me twice here + a much needed cut and Ive loved the results both times. She’s super friendly, attentive, and makes sure you feel good throughout the appointment. Can’t recommend enough

I highly recommend Martha! A few years back, I saw someone at the laundromat with similar hair to mine (a lot of it, kind of wavy) and asked where she got her hair cut, and she told me about Martha at Hair & Co. She’s been cutting my hair for maybe 3 or 4 years now, and I can't recommend her enough! She always remembers when she last gave me layers and is full of tips and expertise on products and styling. Unlike so many other hairdressers I’ve had in the past, Martha has never pushed for a certain cut, rather she asks what I'm coming in for and we talk through ideas. She is honest about what may/may not work with my hair, and I trust her fully. On top of her salon skills, Martha is wonderful to talk to and has a great sense of humor. I look forward to getting my hair cut by her. I'll also add that the salon is much more affordable than others that offer similar quality cuts. While the price of a wash/cut/blow-dry has gone up since I started seeing Martha—as all prices have—I have always paid less than $120 before tipping.

Jessica did an amazing job cutting and highlighting my curly hair. It was a wonderful salon experience and I was super happy with the results. Definitely coming back.

Been here 3 times, usually get my haircut every 6 months and every time vibes seem to be really low. Nobody who is cutting hair seems like they want to be there and the "managers" on site don't seem to contribute much or notice how unhappy their employees are. The last time I had an appointment they called me and asked if I could show up a half hour early. I did and the person who cut my hair (which wasn't the person that I booked with and they didn't tell me about the change) showed up a half hour late. I don't have crazy needs for my hair but the haircut took like 12 minutes and felt like the person took shortcuts to get my hair looking the way I wanted it. Now that it has been about a month it is not growing out like it usually does and I'll need to spend another $100+ on a cut in the next month.

Jessica was amazing. Before this appointment, I really never imagined my hair could make me smile. Now, I have glasses, so I couldn’t see what was going on during the cut until the end - but immediately when putting my glasses on, I just couldn’t hide my joy. She did such an amazing job, and then she walked me through how to style it - in a way that was easy to apply and remember. I don’t have to spend hours on my hair to look high fashion! Absolutely amazing. I have so much fun with my hair now. Also ask about any products you need. I thought it was all too good - amazing cut, a stylist that shows me what works for me, great price -> but the products weren’t crazy expensive at all! Absolutely insane value here. AND she does late appointments, she saw me at 8:15p. The night before an important meeting. Absolute life saver. 1 appointment with Jessica, and she’s replaced my barber who I’ve used for 5 years. GO SEE HER!

Jessica is amazing. I came to her after she helped my partner find a style that felt both clean-cut and creative. She asked incredibly thoughtful questions and instantly understood what I was looking for. I learned so much about my curly hair and walked out feeling confident and refreshed. Highly recommend her to anyone looking for a stylist who truly gets it.

Jessica cut and colored my hair and I had such a great time! She had a true vision for my hair and it turned out exceptional. Had full trust in her immediately!

Needed a manageable haircut that suits my low maintenance. Tiffany listened to my concerns, answered my questions and delivered. My new haircut beautifully frames my face, it’s long enough to tie back and my head feels lighter. Two thumbs up!

This struggling fledgling hair salon constantly. Overcharges and their policies and procedures are horrible. They bait and switch. So today they sent me a 20% off for service and the last time I was there which was many years ago. I was dissatisfied but because it's the holidays and I needed a quick blowout and a flat iron which I'm not really sure how it's different than a silk press other than they charge $200 for a silk press so I decided to take them up on their offer. The stylus which I had before was the same stylus so I guess they were was the same stylist. She did a poor job like she did 4 or 5 years ago. And the 20% discount was not programmed in the system correctly. I think that their system is flawed. It did not even show the total price of the services I received. The manager was not helpful. He was actually very combative towards me. I definitely do not recommend this place unless you know a stylist that does your hair and is good.

I love this place and have been going here for years! Every visit leaves me not just looking better but also in a better mood too. Stacy Ann is an expert whom I trust completely and the energy she brings with every appointment makes the time in the chair fly by.

Hilary worked wonders!! I have thin fine hair that seems easy to work with but in reality doesn't want to do anything and defaults to limp. Hilary cut my hair in a way that I can achieve some body and bounce now, and took into consideration that I only want to spend about 5 minutes on my hair every morning. She was very communicative throughout the process and also took the reigns to guide me towards a haircut that would fit my face, head shape, and hair type. I am so, so happy with my cut. I also found the salon a calming space and didn't feel pushed to purchase products or add-ons. I will definitely be back!!

Kelly Ann did such an amazing job! I showed her a few Pinterest inspos and she delivered with the cut AND the blowout style at the end ❤️ I love how intentional she was, making sure I was okay with everything along the way. Definitely book a hair appointment with her! You won’t regret it (you’ll probably book your next appointment right afterwards because she’s that good ✨) The space was clean and everyone was nice. The location is convenient too, right by Bergen St station.

Update: the team got back to me 10 days after I initially reached out. They offered to fix it, so I went in and got the color fixed. I appreciate the willingness to fix the situation. I went in for a cut and color and brought a reference photo of a dark brown, reddish “dark cherry cola” shade. When my color was rinsed, my roots were bright firetruck red while the ends were much darker. I mentioned it and the stylist recolored it once to even things out, but the final result was still not close to what I’d asked for. I even asked before the appointment if I should go with that color, if it would be good with my features, or if I should stick with my usual dark brown and the stylist said in full confidence that we should do the dark brown cherry. I paid for the service in full, including the extra $50 for the color and extra for a tip, and later spent additional money on color-depositing products to try to correct it myself. Unfortunately, the color remains much brighter and more purple-red than what I requested. I texted the salon and was told my message would be forwarded to the front desk, but I haven’t heard back in over 24 hours. I understand things happen, but for the price and the time invested, I expected both a closer result and more responsive follow-up. I hope the salon takes this as constructive feedback — better color matching to client requests and more timely communication would go a long way.

I’ve been to this salon for haircuts and blow outs a few finds and have had an amazing experience every time! Kelly Ann and Diana are both incredible and have me leaving the salon with amazing and hydrating cuts, and great advice on at home care / maintenance in between.

I had my hair done by Kelly Ann, I'm a Black woman with 4C hair who has always dreaded going to the salon because it's an expensive, arduous, physically painful and often times emotional process. Sometimes my hair would get damaged at other salons that were not used to my texture either. Kelly Ann is a magician, not only making me look wonderful with a silk press that lasted over two weeks, but also making me feel relaxed and in good hands. I will absolutely be returning. Thank you!

Love every cut I get from Skye, she always helps me manage my waves whether I'm feeling straight or curly, this time I went straight and it's so cute!! Very happy

I came here to get my hair dyed and extensions put. I had never done anything like this before and it turned out great! I don't remember the name of my first stylist, but she did an amazing job. I came in again for a haircut and a blowout, and my stylist Kelly Ann made me look incredible. I am definitely going to be going back

Kelly-Ann was incredibly professional, patient, and genuinely educational throughout my appointment. I was especially grateful for her careful work in trimming my hair back to health. She clearly knows her stuff and makes sure you understand the process. Five stars!

Kelly Ann was amazing! I booked the silk press and hair cut service She worked with great speed and skill, and her personality made the whole appointment so enjoyable. The quality of her work is top-tier, and you can really tell she takes pride in what she does. The salon itself is beautiful, clean, and welcoming, and the staff were so kind and professional. I’ll definitely be coming back!

I received services from Ashley in September 2025. Ms. Ashley did not hit the mark in the haircut or color. I asked for a shag and baylage style highlights with root melt. I did not want a color delineation. I specifically remember using the word shag and root melt more than once. This is why I requested baylage. Ms. Ashley stated that with her foil technique she is able to achieve the same effect. I gave more than one photo examples of the color placement and hair cut. Ashley communicated that she could deliver on my expectations. In my opinion, she did not. Her service style is great. She is personable. She had a lovely personality. I feel that the first side step in her process was in her shampoo technique.  I did not feel she was thorough enough in the wash and rinse. When she was combing my hair when we went back to the chair I could hear shampoo bubbles in my hair by my ear. Ms. Ashley did a great job with communicating what comes next. After every step she repeated what was coming next. I appreciated that a lot. Secondly, she failed to show me the cut and color after the blowout. She sectioned my hair and blew it out section by section. However, instead of showing me the finished cut before styling with the curling iron, she went straight in with the curling iron. She showed me the finished style not the cut. I told her it was heavy in the bottom and she took the thinning shears a little bit to the hair. At that point I did not think she was grasping what I was saying. I had some anxiety and have trouble with confrontation so I just wanted to go home, so I left. I went home and left it alone. Tried not to think about it. But it kept nagging me. So I washed my hair. Sectioned it. And applied heat protectant and sprayed with a little water for each section and blew me hair out with maximum medium heat. The cut has blunt ends. It is more of a bob. It is not a shag. And the color has definite delineation. With that being said, I hope this message is received by Ashley positively as a learning opportunity. We all fail sometimes and it is with the falling and failing that we show our resilience by getting up and trying again. I have emailed this review to the salon. Hopefully it is received and received well.

Jessica is the best! I came in after 1 year+ of not getting a cut. I wanted to preserve my length while making sure my hair looked healthy and Jess understood exactly what I wanted. She’s awesome with my curly hair. In the past I’ve gotten blowouts instead of styling my curly hair and it turns out great too.
