A Famous Bronze Statue of a bull in charging position. A Financial Icon on Broadway just near the Financial Area known as the Wall Street. Usually crowded any time with long lines to take photos. Especially the line behind the Statue is longer. Because they say here that if you scratch or rub the balls of the charging bull you get fortunes.😁😁 We also stood in the line to rub the balls of the bull.

So fun to take pictures!! It was snowing, that make it perfect because there was no line. 🤭

Nice statue to visit. Expect a long line to get a picture next to the bull. More folks are interested in touching his genitals than horns but that’s a personal preference. We got pictures with the front of the bull holding his horns.

Easily one of the most iconic statues in NYC. It was packed today with the long weekend. There was a pretty lengthy line to take a photo with the bull. Definitely worth a stop if you are in the financial district.

Arranged a FREE walking tour with our tour guide called Gio through GURUWALK and it was such a brilliant tour that started at the Charging Bull and ended up at the 911 memorial subway station. Good was a brilliant tour guide and please make sure you book this guy as he knows so many places you simply cannot find on your own, or through any guide books!

Seeing the Charging Bull in person is a lot more impressive than it looks in photos. The sculpture feels heavy and powerful up close, and you can really appreciate the craftsmanship when you’re standing right next to it. It definitely captures the spirit of the Financial District. Its location adds to the experience. Sitting among busy streets and towering buildings, it stands out and makes for a good stop if you’re walking through the area. It’s easy to find and doesn’t take long to visit. However, the crowds can be overwhelming. I spent about 20 minutes waiting just to take a picture, with people constantly cycling in and out. It’s manageable if you’re patient, but not ideal if you’re short on time. Overall, it’s an iconic NYC landmark that’s worth checking out at least once. Just be prepared for the crowds if you want that classic photo.

Visiting here is exactly what you would expect. It is packed from the time tourist get up and get moving until it’s time to return to hotel rooms. As you can see people are on all sides of it. There’s not really a system for getting a non-crowded Photo in. No tickets required. It’s just a statue in the city to visit.

Went as it was an icon everyone always talks about but the statue gets sooo busy and people que to take pictures with it and its not worth queing for a picture in my opinion, specially how i saw people queing and other people just coming ignoring thoose waiting in the que ( que jumping) and being ignorant ans entitled and just jumping infront of it and taking pictures whilst those patiently waiting get dismissed! I would be livid. Overall think its overrated and not the best experience.

I enjoyed spending time with friends while visiting this sculpture.live atmosphere around. There were long queues for about 20 minutes to take photos.

I understand its a NYC icon, but the crowd was a big turn off. The crowd form due to local "photographer" charging to take pictures of the visitors and the bull. The hustle occupied a large space and the individual working was rather aggressive

During Covid, I was able to acquire photos of many iconic landmarks without anyone around, not surrounded by hundreds and hundreds of tourists, a once in a lifetime event and this bull and its photos are one of those events I was a part of. The Charging Bull (also known as the Wall Street Bull) is a 7,100-pound bronze sculpture that stands at Bowling Green in Manhattan's Financial District. Standing 11 feet tall and 16 feet long, it has become the global symbol of American capitalism and financial optimism. The Creator: Italian-American artist Arturo Di Modica spent two years and approximately $360,000 of his own money to create the sculpture. The Motivation: Following the 1987 "Black Monday" stock market crash, Di Modica wanted to create a symbol of the "courage and can-do spirit" of Americans to inspire people to pull through the economic downturn. The Midnight Drop: On December 15, 1989, Di Modica and a few friends drove the bull on a flatbed truck to the New York Stock Exchange. They had timed the police patrols and had only a 4-minute window to drop the statue under the exchange's 60-foot Christmas tree. The Removal: When Stock Exchange officials arrived the next morning, they were not pleased. The police impounded the sculpture and hauled it away to a lot in Queens. The public loved the bull immediately. Following a massive public outcry, the New York City Department of Parks and Recreation arranged for a "temporary" home for the statue at Bowling Green Park, two blocks away from the Stock Exchange. It has remained there on "temporary" display for over 30 years. The "Bull Market": In finance, a "bull" represents a rising market (because a bull thrusts its horns upward), symbolizing prosperity and confidence. Anatomy of Power: The sculpture is designed to look aggressive and energetic—its nostrils flare, its muscles are tense, and its head is lowered as if ready to charge. Good Luck Rituals: Tourists famously rub the bull’s nose, horns, and "testicles" for good luck and financial success, which has worn the bronze in those areas to a bright, shiny gold.

It’s quick to visit, easy to access and works well even if you’re just passing through. Crowds come and go, but if you’re patient, you can take a moment to appreciate the scale and craftsmanship. A simple but memorable landmark that’s worth seeing once.

Lots of people constantly at the Charging Bull. Most people will be in the vicinity if they visiting Liberty Island as it is near to Battery Park. Only worth it to take a look if your itinerary brings you near here.

Loved visiting this place in Manhattan! The Charging Bull is one of Manhattan’s most famous landmarks and a must-see attraction near Wall Street. The sculpture is wonderful, it’s exciting to see it up close. The area is usually lively, with many visitors taking photos. It’s a great spot for a quick visit while exploring the Financial District and an iconic piece of New York City history.

This is such an iconic nyc statue but its often crowded as can be. Today, during the chaos of nyc holiday tourism peak, lines were formed in every direction to have photos taken with the bull. Its nearly impossible to grab photos without other people in them. People head downtown to see the stock exchange tree on Wall Street and this is a logical nearby stop. Target a less crowded time if you are able, you will be more satisfied with the outcome.

Little overrated but iconic. Stood in lines to touch him at back, lines at front. impossible to get a photo without people in photo unless line. Side view ok if you wanna skip the line.

We loved the visit! It's one of those classic New York spots The sculpture itself is actually pretty impressive up close, larger than you'd expect and full of detail. It does get crowded, especially with people taking photos, but it moves quickly if you're patient. Highly recommend.

With the most recent market drop, come to the bull for some luck, haha… Better be there very early or very late, or else it full of people line up to touch or take pictures. We stayed at the Double Tree hotel just near by, so came around 9am in the morning it’s nobody there.

One of the most iconic landmarks to visit in New York! The Charging Bull in Lower Manhattan draws large crowds every day, and you’ll likely have to wait a few minutes to snap a good picture with it. The atmosphere is lively, with tourists from all over the world gathering around. You’ll also find small roadside shops nearby selling miniature bull statues and other souvenirs — a nice way to take home a memory of your visit. A must-see stop if you’re exploring the Financial District.

The iconic charging bull. Just be aware that it's usually quite busy, and it's almost impossible to get a photo just with the bull itself. Go there to look at it, maybe attempt to take some photos as I did. If you're around, go to the New York Stock Exchange and also get a photo of that.

Stopped by the Charging Bull because, well… it’s one of those “you have to visit” spots in NYC. Honestly, it didn’t make much sense to me — just a giant bronze bull surrounded by a crowd trying to take pics (especially with the back side). Fun to see the chaos for a few minutes, but that’s about it! I would not give 5 stars for these places. Better to visit and walk around wall street

Worth a visit and the earlier the better to avoid the massive crowds and line for "the photo". Make sure to get one on the back side, too!

Too many people. Everyone lines up for pictures with the Bulls Balls, 300ft deep. Not enough room in the area for all of the people that gather there. One of the bigger saftey hazard attractions in lower Manhattan.

Iconic structure, right in the middle of wall street. The place can get extremely crowded during daytime and over the weekends. We got there at 6 AM in the morning and no one was around. Best pick a slot that is not in the rush hour as waiting for an hour is not worth it here. Enjoy your time in NY. Cheers!

Quick visit to the charging bull is a must if you are in the financial district. Although there is a long line to get to the bull for the pictures but it takes around 20 minutes pf wait in general. Quickly take however many pictures you can take in the time you get and check them later. Please keep in mind that a lot of people are in line for the same so don’t be disrespectful of that. There’s souvenirs shops all around it so you can also buy mini charging bulls/magnets and other stuff. No tickets are required here. Make the most of your time. Enjoy!

I finally got the chance to visit the famous Charging Bull in Lower Manhattan, and it was such a cool experience! It's one of those iconic New York landmarks you always see in movies or photos, and standing next to it in person really brings that image to life. The bull is much bigger than I expected — strong, powerful, and full of energy — exactly how it's meant to feel. It’s located right near Bowling Green Park and not far from Wall Street. The area around the statue was buzzing with tourists when I went, even on a weekday. Everyone was trying to get their picture with it — some waiting in line to take shots from the front, while others were going around to take the (in)famous picture from the back. It’s all in good fun, and the atmosphere is very lively. What I loved most was how people of all ages and backgrounds were there, smiling, taking photos, and sharing the moment. Despite being in the financial district, which is usually all business, this little spot had a playful and energetic vibe. If you're in New York, I’d definitely say stop by — even if just for a few minutes. It's one of those places that captures the bold, never-give-up attitude that defines this city. Just be prepared for crowds, and bring your camera — you’ll want to take a few snaps for sure!
