What clients say about Target in New York (NY)

Worker’s and supervisor refused my underage child to use the bathroom saying it’s broken.. this is the second time they have did this to us .. we certainly will not shop here ever again

•Better prices.
•I only went to buy some drinks. I had to rush and thankfully, the self check out lane was available.
•Staff are nice and helpful. Will return to check more items soon!Feb 02, 2026 -
Well stocked so much variety really helpful staff
Not focused on but still a great place for tourists to wander around inJan 14, 2026 -
Extremely rude people on the phone. On top of that they declared I picked my order up that I ordered online even though I didn't. Wanted me to buy it again but they were out of stock. Took them a while to "find" it.

I went to this Target around 4:00 pm to find my items. Luckily, I found all my items and got to checkout. This Target is overall great!
Dec 21, 2025 -
Large, bright, well-stocked store. I wish there were more associates around to help.
Dec 05, 2025 -
Honestly for the size this target had at the very least 75% of the things that I usually get from a full sized that get in the suburbs.
The location is sometimes convenient if I am taking the lirr but as with anything in this area it’s overly crowded with somewhat clueless tourists and the prices are noticeably marked up by a pretty decent percent- but for the occasion you need more than just a very few things then it’s definitely worth the shop.
LOTS of self checkouts too so it’s always a quick checkout when I’m hereNov 23, 2025 -
I don’t usually shop in-store at a Target because of the hassle of trying to find stuff and not getting what I actually wanted, but I was genuinely shocked by how helpful the employees were in this location. They approached me to ask if I needed any help trying to find things and they were also quick to assist with items that were locked up. Shopping was smooth. Thanks guys!
Nov 22, 2025 -
Extremely friendly and totally helpful staff. I only bought groceries, but was able to find everything I was looking for!
Nov 09, 2025 -
If you want to help stop real problems, list your imports and country in your description because kids in other countries are pissed at corporates and take it out by hacking my accounts. Thanks. Good luck guys. Just be transparent about where the waffle maker comes from so I can look to see if the factory is clean.

Target is always on point. You just better have enough time to shop there. Oh, and don't forget to bring your wallet!!!

Hi there,
I've visited this establishment today, I've liked their selection but it is LIMITED selection for clothing wise.
Although, you may find what you are looking for in mind as far as home, arts & crafts etc. I would come back to check on new stock.
Thank you!Aug 05, 2025 -
A very tiny Target. The clothing section was also limited. It just took one round for me to realise that the store was over. The billing line was huge and kinda cumbersome.
My colleague picked up a few shirts which were pretty affordable.
For clothing I suggest head to Nordstrom Rack cos they havebetter options. I ended up buying some chocolates and savouries just cos the nearest Walmart was an hour away.Jul 31, 2025 -
they have a lot of stuff here that is so useful around the home and sometimes they have excellent sale prices
they definitely do not price gouge. remember this is Midtown New York City. it should be very expensive and it's not. for example I bought a spoon for two dollars. this is basically the price of the dollar store except it's in the absolute center of New York City.
they also have a large amount of food including fresh produce which is incredible. i mean i bought a completely fresh pomegranate ($2.69 for a medium-large AND really fresh!) in feb 2025, along with some other produce. they also have a large selection of meats ice cream frozen foods and so much more
absolutely excellent store
the lines are not really that long because they are constantly moving as they have so many self checkouts and active cashiersJul 02, 2025 -
Came here a few days ago and I have never seen a store below ground before that was the coolest thing to me! It was like shopping in a big basement. I’m from Delaware so we don’t have underground stores but I thought it was gonna be some small little thing but it’s a full size store down here. I felt like I no clipped and went to the back rooms I got scared for a second. Definitely a good concept though space wise .

Target 34th Street is a Multi floor store with a variety of different clothing, home, and grocery options. It is definitely one of the bigger Target stores in Midtown Manhattan. The store is positioned close to other popular retailers such as the Macy’s across the street and near a Subway station which makes it convenient. The area can get quite busy though.
Apr 04, 2025 -
Store manager Randy at 34th Street is rude, disrespectful and confrontational. I went this morning to make a return and buy a few items. I saw that a sheet set was on clearance. I got the register and the sales associate explained it was ringing full price. Then store manager Randy comes and rudely explain it’s not on clearance. I explained it was the same sheets that had clearance tickets on the floor. He was rude, had poor customer service and dismissive. Then return the sheet set back to the clearance wall. I mentioned that I wanted to return a shower cap that I purchased online since I didn’t realize that it was open at the top. He said he won’t because the flowered shower cap has stains. I explained that it was never used. Once again he ignores me and walks off. I will not shop at this store again. Not sure what happened to target customer service but it is very disappointing the treatment I received today.

Exactly what you would expect from a Target - organized layout, massive floors, plenty of range of items, and anything you can think of. It’s a pretty large outlet here at 34th street, with clothings, daily essentials, homeware, fresh foods and groceries. There’s also electronic gadgets and an array of toys for kids. Always love how spacious the aisles are and how friendly everyone is towards the customers. Cashier checkout is efficient as well. Lovely convenience and departmental store. They are not too heavy on clothings here so won’t expect to see big discounts but still worth a visit nonetheless!

It's not much here to choose from going up and the two floors but I bought this nice hat on sale for $9 w tax because I understand how cold it is in NYC...burr
Dec 17, 2023 -
I like this target, it can get pretty busy but there are tons of check outs.
Since it is located in a busy part of the city, there are a lot of affordable food items for snacking and staying hydrated.Jun 18, 2023 -
A bright neon mascot sign, near Times Square, this Target is a single basement unit with a bare minimum inventory for the area. With visible unique decor that gives a nod to the area, this Target is clean and organized to serve locals and visitors nearby.
It is well-lit in this store which makes navigating and inspecting products easier. Slightly limited stock compared to other bigger Targets but will have the basic necessities. Additionally, they only have one entrance/exit with the escalators. The produce area is near the back of the store. There is a staff member that is separate from the cashier or self-checkout that you can pay for your items with (assuming it's for overflow traffic and/or single items).Nov 01, 2022 -
Great location for the area . For the city, it’s a good Target. But it’s very small with limited stock. Often don’t have the basics. Friendly staff and clean. ..
Sep 24, 2022 -
Clothes are very pretty, and some of the associates are polite but the lady who qas in charge of the fitting room took FOREVER to RESPOND, mind you… I had to go and look up for her for her to say to me that we could only USE 1 fitting room per area, but the fact that she had us WAIT for more than 20 minutes it’s crazy.
Very poor customer service on her side, Thank you NOT thank you Elizabeth…Jun 18, 2022 -
Everything you need! This Target is small but it's packed full of so many things! There is a produce section, decor, and pharmacy. We found everything we were looking for and more! The staff was super kind in helping us find what we were looking for and the bathroom. The checkout line went really quick and there was more helpful staff there.
Apr 04, 2020 -
Cheap prices, accessible and great location, friendly staff, a lot of convenience stuff especially for tourist who want to buy foods and save more money. You can pay using bills or card credit. We bought a lot of foods here. Yeayy
Dec 19, 2018 -
Not your typical Target. Why, because they are trying to fit a Target in a shoebox. Don't blame Target. They are working with what they have. Very limited stock. First floor a disappointment. Basement level has more to offer. Space is the factor here.
Aug 24, 2018 -
This not a full target, more of a target light. They have a small selection of items from each of the categories you find at a regular target store. For instance, you can find video games here, but just a couple and not the latest ones. That said, it is a very clean, well lit, and well organized store. It does not take long to find where the item you needed would have been if they had carried at this store.
Jun 16, 2018 -
This is another mini Target. It has just about everything you need from Pillows to Groceries and much easier to find because of smaller size. What I love is that you can have stuff shipped to your house or to any Target store. I just bought one thing I needed from the Target 34th and the rest I will have shipped to my house or to any Target.
Apr 11, 2018 -
This place is a nightmare! People abandoning their baskets/carts beside checkouts as the line is so long it’s out the front door. A complete joke. This place needs to improve significantly. All checkouts on the top floor doesn’t make sense.
Apart from that major issue the store was well stocked and reasonably priced for being in midtown.
Toilets had keypad locks?! Where you had to ask staff to let you in.Nov 02, 2017
