SCAM SCAM SCAM!!
Just a horrible company to work with. Gave me one price on a contracted load, then showed up and the dispatcher did not tell the driver what all was being loaded (I gave them exact loading info and exact weight). Driver refuses to do the load unless we increase the price. I spoke to 3 different people at this company explaining what's on the load the day before. They knew what was on the load and decided to up-charge me anyways because I had no option but to accept.
Once he was unloading, he refused to show me proof that the property was unloaded (I still have no clue if this was actually unloaded or not). I told him I would not pay unless I see proof that it was unloaded, and he threatened to steal the equipment and take it to his yard! I hope the extra money was worth someone reading my comment and moving onto the next company on Google. Ridiculous!! Never use this company.
I recently had a very frustrating experience First Star Towing and wanted to share my experience to warn others.
1. I called First Star Towing for a quote only. After receiving the quote, I explicitly informed them not to proceed with any towing service
2.Despite my clear instructions, a tow truck from a different company arrived. This company bore a different name than the one we contacted, adding to our confusion.
3.The tow truck operator did not inform us if they were sent by our insurance company. We should have verified this, but the expected a tow our insurance.
4.After towing our car, the driver demanded a payment of $400, claiming that our insurance would reimburse us. This was surprising, as we expected the insurance to handle the payment directly.
5.An argument ensued, and we contacted our insurance company. The tow truck driver insisted that we had requested the service, which was not the case. We had called for a quote and explicitly declined the service.
6.The police were called to mediate the dispute due to the driver's insistence and our refusal to pay an unauthorized service fee.
7.After the issue was resolved with the cops, we paid the $400.
The miscommunication and lack of clear explanation from the tow company, combined with the driver arriving under a different company name, make this company appear scam/scammy and unprofessional. We were left in a distressing situation due to their actions.
I strongly advise others to be cautious when dealing with first towing to avoid similar issues.

When we got a flat tire during a crazy rain storm, we immediately called AAA. But, no towing services were available or willing to come out in the horrible weather…until First Star Towing. Wish we had tried them first! Professional, efficient and very easy to work with - will definitely keep their number close! Highly recommend.
Do not trust this Company they will try to scam you and your Isaurance company i do not recomend. They’ll tell you a price and totaly change it in the end. Very unprofessional
I got stuck in jacobi hospital in Bronx NY. I call this towing , they said will be there in 15 min . I wait almost 3 hours , nobody show up , keep giving excuse for 15 mins. Then they stop answering your calls too. This is worst towing company I ever seen in my life .
This is the worst place to deal with. Please please do not do business with them you will regret it. They are liars and very unprofessional. On the phone they told me I can use credit card and gave me a price for towing, once they tow the car to the place I wanted to tow they told me Cash only or we will take the car back to our shop until you pay and the price they told me on the phone now was higher then what they 1st told me. STAY AWAY FROM THESE SCUMS
Very unprofessional operator cutting cars off then throws a glass bottle hitting 2 vehicles then proceeds to try to fight on the street very professional representation!
I call this company to tower a car that was blocking my driveway, they took more than an hour and the owner of the car drive off because they took tooo long, I was 10 min way from them. I don't recommend this company.
Driver was professional and courteous upon arrival. Once I made contact with them, they were out to me within 30 minutes and quickly took care of getting me and my vehicle where we needed to go. Pleasant experience and will use again!
I called these company to remove a car blocking my driveway. The dispatch who spoke to me while half asleep told me right away--45 minutes later the truck arrived. The driver immediately had an attitude so I kept calm and allowed him to take the vehicle. He walked around the car for several minutes, jumped back in his truck backed up and paused for several more minutes. It's now midnight. I went over and asked him what's happening and he got an attitude again just tell me he can't do tow it with that truck so another driver was dispatched. I'm upset now but kept calm. I asked him how along will it take the driver to get here and he started arguing with me and blatantly told me I can cancel the service if I want. What kind of a horse's head doing business would behave like that?!
Well, I did call and cancel the service altogether. He seem to have thought I was desperate to park in my driveway so I'd endure the abused, but not I. I would most definitely NOT AT ALL recommend this service to anyone. I even felt bad for the person who's car was going to be towed for possibly having to deal with this company. I'd rather the car stay in the driveway. The ticket should be enough for them to learn their lesson.
