What clients say about Chelsea Market in New York (NY)

Awesome place to visit, kids loved it, nice food and veggie/vegan options, about 3 hours with a solid break for some dinner. They had a Chinese new year event that was simple but nice for the children. Lots of little indie shops with really interesting items and few other gift types shops. Must visit after doing the high line (if you ended at 10th side exit).

Walked to Chelsea Market on a sunny winter's day in Feb. You open the doors and the heat hits you in there. So it's toasty in there. It had similar vibes to Shoreditch market or Borough Markets in London. Lots to see in a compact space. Had the tacos from no. 1 and I actually ended up getting takeaway as well. The pork with pineapple was spicy, juicy and just fab. The service was great. You choose between corn or flour tortilla. Authentic vibes! Love ❤️. Walked around, had some chocolates from LiLacs. Service there also fantastic. Loved the marshmallow milk chocolate and the graham cracker milk chocolate. Had some souvenir Fat Witch mini brownies to go, cranberry was lovely recommended by the staff for something different. Got some sugar cookies at the stall at the end of the market where they have independent sellers for jewellry, shirts, art, etc. Sugar cookies are not really my thing but they were manageable as they werent like the traditional sweet as it was a UK lady making them. Very cute designs for NYC. There's a muji in there, souvenir food shop and didn't get to try the lobster. Would have to visit again! Near Google campus

It's a great place with a wonderful atmosphere where you can find a wide variety of delicious dishes. We had oysters and really liked them.

Such an iconic food hall with so many different restaurants and little shops to explore. There’s something for everyone, and it’s the perfect place to walk around and try a little bit of everything. Come hungry — you’ll want to eat your way through the whole place!

Visited twice in a day. Breakfast for bagels, amazing and really quiet. Back later for drinks, still busy but loved it

This was our 1st time visiting Chelsea Market and Wow is all I can say. This place left us speechless. First of all the building is beautiful, then all the restaurant and shops are just amazing. This is such a unique place and we will definitely be back to explore more spots.

• Really glad I finally got to visit Chelsea Market! • Such a great variety of food and shopping stalls—you really can’t go wrong with any of them. My favorites were the fresh noodle spot and Seed + Mill for dessert. • We also loved the artist flea market area—so many amazing finds! Picked up some souvenirs and bath + skincare goodies from IE. • Beautiful, spacious interiors and clean restrooms. • Chelsea Market is definitely a must-visit when you’re in NYC! 💛

Loved it here been to the ATL one and love these all in one setting. They had few small free galleries/showcase throughout which I loved see my fav movie poster dissected… went to get lobster at the seafood hall and it was 5/5

Indoor food hall and shopping destination in the Meatpacking District. Offers a wide variety of food vendors, artisanal shops, and specialty stores. Vibrant atmosphere with lots of local and tourist traffic. Great spot for tasting different cuisines, picking up unique gifts, or grabbing a quick bite. Can get crowded, especially on weekends. Don't miss Los Tacos no.1
Jan 06, 2026 -
For a food lover in NYC this is a definite must do. Almost every type of cuisine available. Ideal for a casual bite. About 2-3 blocks from subway station.

Busy but love the vibe and choices for food - great place to go try things, just go hungry. If I had one recommendation for the food outlets, it would be to offer smaller sampler plates for people that aren't locals to try the cuisine of they only have an afternoon or day in the neighborhood.

Great place to shop and get some food. Not that many places to sit but you might get lucky! Would highly recommend for out of towners to visit as there is so much to see here and in the area. The place sure does get crowded so make sure you're not weirded out by that... I mean, you are in NYC. You can do it, though, I have faith that you got yourself all the way here that you can handle Chelsea Market!

A must-visit spot in NYC! Chelsea Market is an amazing food and shopping experience with so much energy and character. The mix of local vendors, global food spots, and unique little shops makes it feel alive and exciting. Whether you’re grabbing a quick bite or just walking around, it’s impossible not to love the vibe. Truly a must when visiting New York!

I truly loved my time at Chelsea market. It was a lovely place with so many options for both food and shopping. There was a place where you could look at artist jewelry and artwork as well as different grocery stores and food stalls. By far my favorite place was very fresh noodles. I got the dry cumin lamb and it was beyond delicious. The noodles were spicy, savory and chewy. I could not recommend this place highly enough.

If you’re traveling to New York, I definitely recommend adding this place to your list! The place is full of energy, with tons of food stands and cool shops to explore. The seafood was especially good, the oysters were super fresh, and everything looked amazing. It’s a great spot to grab a bite, take photos, and experience a local part of the city.

Super cool to try local stuff from Ny tought it’s really Ny because you have a lot of stuff from around the world like many Chinese stuff. When I went there it rained a lot so the place got flooded! 😅 so the building is not that good, the place is amazing tought to visit and eat!

This is one of the most fantastic markets in the United States, the business within Chelsea Market are fantastic! It's mostly dining options but there are quite a number of mom and pop retail stores as well. We couldn't recommend a visit to Chelsea Market highly enough. It's a special NYC destination and super cool!

Chelsea Market is an iconic indoor food hall and retail marketplace renowned for its wide range of grocers (fish, produce, etc.), artisanal shops & eateries. It’s in New York City's Meatpacking District. Chelsea Market’s history: It was formerly a Nabisco factory where the Oreo cookie was invented. I like its unique industrial-chic architecture. It’s close to High line, an elevated old train track turned garden walk way. One of my most favorite way to walk through NY without cabs in my way. Just a safe space looking down on NY streets.

Great market with plenty of shops to check out and food options. There are restaurants with many different forms of cuisine to choose from with indoor and covered outdoor seating. Shops including clothing stores, gift shops, stalls for local artists, and foods. There are also restrooms on the lower level that are clean and well maintained. While we were here it was decorated for Halloween!

This might be the best market in Manhattan. It has a cultural and historical impact. Also you can see the architecture still remaining from the past. It’s a big place where you can find a diverse kind of business. Food, art, souvenirs and there’s also free restrooms made with some interesting materials.

A very nicely converted building for a huge food market. You're a bit overwhelmed by the sheer number of options and don't even know where to start looking for the right lunch or dinner opportunity. Unfortunately, in some cases, it's a very expensive treat (a portion of fresh pasta with classic tomato sauce for $33 is certainly no steal). Nevertheless, everyone can find a suitable place to eat. It's quite chilly due to the air conditioning.

Incredibly cool amalgamation of shops and restaurants in a historic building. The place attracts a trendy crowd with excellent food in the many restaurants, bars and coffee shops. There are various grocery stores, as well as flowers, apparel, jewelry, you name it. Like a mall, but so much better!

I went Chelsea Market a few moments ago because I needed to take a quick detour before going to a restaurant reservation. I had a great time there. It was a sight to see and it was quite busy, but I knew that was how markets were so I had no issue with getting into where I needed to. I loved the location of the market because it had availability. The air inviting and warm with cool breeze depending on the day. It was also a lovely area because I could get to find as many places as I needed to find. One of the places that I stopped by in the market was La Devozione to pick up a few pasta packages to cook at home. Another place I stopped by was Li-Lac Chocolates for sweet treats for my family members and myself. I can be honest to say I had an amazing time finding what I wanted in a quick few minutes. I found plenty of options and the two choice of places were to find a items to bring home with me before I went on my way to the reservation at a separate restaurant.

The market is nice and looks very stylish. It’s buzzing even on a Sunday evening. There is a good enough selection of food options although they may not be extra top notch. Overall worth checking out if you are in New York

Amazing Market! Nice vibe. Full of nice shops and restaurants! Has all kind of things to buy. Nice clothes, vintage articles, artwork, handicraft, bookshops. Definitely, it worth it a visit! Highly recommend.

Great place for reasonably priced and huge selection of food - came here for brunch or lunch every day. A must see & experience. Tacos, quesadillas, bagels, to Jamaican, Asian & American food on offer. Inside and outside seating. A must stop/see.

Chelsea Market is lively and full of great food options, but it was extremely crowded during my summer visit. It’s definitely a popular spot, but the large crowds made it hard to fully enjoy the space. Unfortunately, the restrooms were not clean, which took away from the overall experience. For such a well-known attraction, I expected better maintenance. Still, it’s worth stopping by if you’re in the area—just try to go during off-peak hours.
