A tremendous gem! I have the most amazing hamburger that one can ever have. They literally dropped the filet mignon into the grinder after you've placed your order for the hamburger. Fresh beyond fresh!

Hudson Yards spot that actually feels like a park and not just a plaza. Split into sections with fountains, playground, places to sit. Wind-sensitive fountains are cool—they shut off when it gets gusty. Bathrooms are clean. 7 train right there. Gets busy with office crowds at lunch but never feels overwhelming. Good for killing time.

Wheelchair user review: This park is nice with gentle slopes and lots of areas to take breaks in. There are a few areas with small cobbles, however, it’s not the whole park. A lot of places to sit down or even potentially lie down. Nice birds as well!

A very artistic public park in Manhattan. The spacing nicely frames the outlying skyscrapers. Sedulous landscaping and cobbling.
Sep 27, 2025 -
Nice attractions around the train station, but it's somewhat crowded and has moderate amount of smokers.
Sep 18, 2025 -
Cool place tonhang out on your lunch break or if you are in the middle of sightseeing in NYC. Trees give a lot of shade.
Sep 16, 2025 -
Pretty cute park. Pleasant fountains and landscaping. The abundance of benches is just what we need in the area. Plenty of choice of where to sit. Even has a couple little lawn areas to sit and actually feel real land on.

Visited Bella Abzug Park on a sunny Friday and it was the perfect little escape in the middle of the city. The park is beautifully designed with plenty of seating, shaded areas, and open spaces to relax. I loved the clean walkways, colorful fountains, and how the layout makes it feel peaceful even though it’s right next to busy streets. Families were enjoying the playground, people were sipping coffee from the kiosk, and there was a great mix of energy and calm. Easy to get to from the 7 train, and it’s spotless compared to many city parks. A great spot to sit, read, people-watch, or just soak in the sunshine. Highly recommend stopping by if you’re in Hudson Yards.

Well architected small acreage park spanning few blocks from Vessel to W 36th st. It is not a typical NYC playground / green space layout. Professional park design by Michael Van Valkenburgh landscaping firm is felt as soon as you enter the park (other notable projects of this firm are Brooklyn Bridge Park and BBG). It is well integrated with surrounding skyscrapers, would be a good idea to combine visit of this park with High Line Park.

Bella Abzug Park is a three block long rectangle of park space in Manhattan. Located between 34th and 36th Streets just north of the Hudson Yards complex, it provides a few blocks of respite from the hustle of the city. It is primarily a passive park with plentiful shade, walking paths and benches, and a small playground. Its' icon however, is a series of colorful fountains in the center. The park is named after one of the late Bella Abzug, one of New York's most colorful politicians of the 1970s who was an ardent supporter of women's rights, among other causes. On a light note, many people nationally were introduced to (and remember) her for being immortalized in a classic SNL interview with hard of hearing correspondent Emily Littella, who first addressed her as "Stella" and then asked her why, upon announcing her candidacy for office, was she "throwing her cat in the ring"? A classic sketch, and she was a good sport about it.

We went to sit around the park and it was very very chilly that we had to take shelter from the wind. There were many halal food carts around to curb those hunger pangs. We didnt get a chance to go up as it was almost closed when we went down from the edge. If you wish to admire the unique design, you can visit it.

The vessel is just beautiful. We visited the place during the night at around 3 am and there was no one to disturb. The entire place to us. Clicked some amazing photos. And just sat there gazing at the beautiful masterpiece

Within view of Vessel, this park is surprisingly serene. At sundown, the entire open block is filled with a wonderful reflected brilliance from the surrounding glass clad buildings. You can sit on a section of the distressed wood slate benches, above the last stop on the 7 and for a moment feel as though you might be anywhere

Beautiful place to visit, either with your friends or significant other. Better to go on a nice day though
Aug 16, 2021 -
This is a nice clean park. I took pictures with Kong Kong and walked around with my son. It's a nice place to relax. Vendors also provided food for a fee if you get hungry. Recommended for everyone looking for a nice park.
Apr 18, 2021 -
Nice park and there's a great view in 3 directions. The parks big feature, the Oculus looked super cool, but was closed- on a nice april day. So I'm not sure how often it's open. It's located, obviously, next to the Javitz Center. Not a bad place to chill out on a break during any convention

Very picturesque! The city's just gotta help all the homeless gathered in the cold and stop just ignoring them. But my 19 year old cat, Audrey, LOVES the park! A lot of people come to pet her and take her picture!

Beautiful and very serene. I had a wonderful time just relaxing in the greenery and watching families have a great time.

It was ok. The views were nice. We got free tickets that day for going in at a certain time. Like, we can go in only at 12:10pm and get out at 1:10pm. The weather was okay that day, not too sunny. Bathroom nearby.

What an amazing piece of infrastructure. Enjoyed my climb to the top and back.. Viewing sunset from here is good too... I would recommend evening visit...

The architecture is just amazing. This place is surrounded by a lots of concrete and steel but still you feel kind of zen inside the vessel. The place is free to enter but need to register onli e a week ahead. This place always has crowd lining up. Best time to be is during the sun set when you can see amazing shades of red at the other end. There are good places around to eat and go hike the hilelane. Recommended if you are travelling New york.
Aug 20, 2019 -
Worth the visit! Tickets need to be booked in advance online, but are free. If you want flex tickets, they are only 10 USD. A lot of steps, but there seemed to be an elevator accessible if need be! We went at sun down, which served to be the best time!

Amazing architecture. First time being here. And i loved the amazing puzzle of how they build this place. Just amazing. I had a big smile looking at this piece of art. Walked all the way up. It has 8 floors as you may count it. I can see the Hudson River and the tall building around it just made the place really cool. Also, a shopping center next to it, if you love shopping and food to buy. Free entrance NO FEE. Just be there early to get a ticket and time you will be entering the place. The line gets long really quick. The place open until 10pm is the last time to enter.

The Vessel as they call it is amazing walking up and down all those steps it's a great work of architecture they also have an elevator to go up to the top the workers are very friendly the tickets are free for now they may change that but it's a great place to check out in NYC would like to see the observation deck when it opens
Jul 19, 2019 -
Did you know curved benches are designed to keep homeless people from sleeping on them? The curves make it difficult to sleep. These are comfortable but the wood makes them feel most after a rain haha.
Jun 22, 2019 -
Amazing structure and worth to see. View from the inside the vessel bottom looking upwards gives nice ring like structure. I enjoyed this click. There is $0 entry ticket required, you can book in advance online and we also did online booking prior to our visit. There is a Subway station near by for commute. Crowd inside vessel is well managed and it doesn't get very crowded inside. We would have spent 1 hour time, climbing steps and clicking pictures at most levels.
Jun 16, 2019 -
Wonderful structure. We had great time inside to take photos from different angles. Good views too. It's worth to spend your valuable time to visit the Vessel. Amazing design. Disabled people also can come to visit. There is elevator to the top level.

Cool architecture. Nice mall surrounding the sculpture. We tool the stairs to the top and it was not too hard at all. Every level feels like it's own dimension. Kids loved it. Food is average at best and from vendors. Good for families. Great photo opportunity. Not much more to it.
May 02, 2019 -
So many things to do! Very well made project. More reasons to visit the last stop of 7th train! Good vibe, good scenery, good energy. I love the shed and the mall!!
