My car was illegally towed , all my things was in my car , it took me 3 hours to find out who had my car , this was my very first time here at The Spot , there were no signs that says NO Parking? On the streets, my car wasn’t the only one that was towed, I had to ride with a total stranger to pick up my car , and thing could’ve happened to me , we get to the place they didn’t accept my card , I was outside in the cold until 3am , so sad how the wrecker drive takes your car for no reason. My things was missing like my $500 leather jacket was stolen out my car.
Got towed today for parking after 3:30 pm in downtown.... I know, but still, called them up as soon as I knew this was the place my truck got towed to... $300 bucks for an hour??!! Ridiculous
Terrible company. My friend’s car was totaled by a drunk driver and this company came and towed her car as she was still in shock. Then had the audacity to charge her a few hundred dollars to get the car back although she had free towing with Geico and Mercedes… all they do is steal money from people when they are vulnerable
Avoid getting your car here at all costs! They pay tow truck drivers to bring in cars that have just been in an accident to take advantage of a vulnerable, low moment. Do your research, check the reviews. This is not the only place that pays tow truck drivers to take advantage of people. Be aware before they try to take whatever penny they can from you! Do not let the tow truck driver take your car here. The lady who answers the phone (KAYLA) is very unprofessional and rude and will yell at you on the phone in efforts of trying to retrieve personal property. Avoid here at all costs!!!!
If I could give them a negative 1 review I would. All they care about is money. Towing without permission and charging $300 for 2 hours??? And then the receptionist KAYLA was rude and hung up on us twice! Do better!
First off let me start by saying everybody things are just coming up missing . And if they are as a manager it is your job as a business owner to find out who is stealing this stuff from your property! If you are meet with confrontation behind you calling about your own property they know who took these things ! I want my stuff back if I don’t receive it back I will file chargers and I will file a lawsuit because my stuff should’ve never been touched ! How you steal peoples property and make them pay to get they car ! Y’all stole the wrong people cars
Just bad, from holding vehicles hostage for payment by cash or card in PERSON ONLY. Amazingly they did not complete our tow, another tow company was called but then our equipment was taken to this yard. Makes ZERO sense. Reviewed BBB, they are not accredited and have not responded to complaints. Not sure why the Houston Chamber of Commerce lists them on their website with their review ratings below 3 stars, lawsuits filed against them and their lack of customer service. No website either, that should be a HUGE red flag in today's business arena
0 STARS. They steal your car not tow it. Car was running with my sons phone inside of it. Black man with dreads told him the drop fee would be $130 then he proceded to speed off with his car. Not good people at all
Very disrespectful staff. My mom called to let them know her insurance was going to pick up her car after getting into an accident. It's important to note my mom speaks English as her second language but she is easy to understand even with an accent. She kept trying to explain her situation and she was met with an attitude by a woman named Cindy saying "What? I can't understand you" and hanging up on her repeatedly. It wasn't until my mom called her out and asked if she really couldn't understand her or if she was just pretending to because of her accent. If it was truly an issue she said she could've called me or my dad to explain. All of a sudden she could hear my mom just fine. I would've assumed maybe Cindy really didn't understand her if it wasn't for my mom calling her out.
Please train your staff to be more courteous of people, regardless of their accents or background. Embarrassing behavior and from the reviews already, this place doesn't care about their customers at all.
They towed my daughter's vehicle improperly and damaged the rear end of the transmission. This just happened two days ago and my daughter has only had the vehicle two months. It was inspected before she bought it and it was working fine until the two days ago. They do not care or want to take responsibility for their actions. I can't wait to have her get this taken care of. These people deserve to be responsible for their actions. And from what I see in these reviews Im not the only one that has issues with them.
They don't... DIDN'T check but simply took the word off a unsworn officer that my car had been parked in a Tow zone, neglected to verify that there had been NO complaints, and was summarily stolen without documentation, and thus I immediately reported it as such to HPD who was also caused to be unaware of its location, courtesy of the impersonation specialists at Park Houston from where I had carefully put it.
After getting hit by another driver, A Best Tow wrecker showed up to the scene to tow my car. The driver, Genaro, was professional and friendly. I would recommend best tow wrecker service. Thank you for making the process smooth and painless!
Best Auto Storage. A really great facility ive been here a couple times, i mean these people are just awesome very friendly, and try to help you at every turn. Best Auto Storage is by far the best literally due to the fact they have cameras everywhere. They have a great staff in the office they all deserve raises for thier hard work.
Let's just call this location the bottoms to be nice. My vehicle was towed here after being run over by a concrete truck on hwy 59 during rush hour traffic. The driver was not paying attention. I needed medical attention so therefore I was transported by ambulance which left me with no other option but to have the vehicle towed by a random service to a random storage facility. Through all of these horrible circumstances I'm glad to still be alive and don't want to complain... But this location and its name are false advertising at best. However, I get to live to fight another day.
So grateful of these guys taking care of my vehicle for being towed for no registration or proof of insurance, the process was easy and simple, bring your insurance with your name for the car and your driving license and pay the fine don't take your time everyday it will cost more. you put your self in your position. My Mercedes Benz was towed by this facility and when my vehicle was towed the gas panel was on the vehicle, they have pictures of it being on the vehicle but when I picked up my vehicle on 6/25/23 it was missing. Zach the manager is saying his driver was not negligent and they aren’t responsible. I will take this matter all the way to the courts because this is absolutely ridiculous and very unprofessional of this slum yard.
Was in a car accident and came to pick up my things. Kayla, the rep on site, instead of being helpful called me a *itch when all I needed was assistance. The tow driver gave me incorrect and inconsistent information. Do not have your vehicle sent here! Send it some other place. The way they handle people is poor and trashy.
Wish I could give this company zero stars. Employee was stupid, and that’s putting it nicely. I am very sorry if your car gets towed by these people. Avoid them at all costs.
I usually don't post reviews but this place take advantage of my situation at that time , i had an accident with my truck and they tow my truck and stole my gun and an smart watch, i make the report and went back with the constables but nobody take responsibility. They wasn't even sure who was the driver that tow my truck , smh. That sucks cause even the officer tells me that is a lost gun. Probably is on someone hands doing whatever they want because its on my name. They're not supposed to mess with people stuff.
I know it was the tow truck driver but owners should know what they employees do with other people belongings. Karma exist tho
I got verbally harassed by two tow truck drivers (male and female) when I went back to my car to get my insurance papers. Thought they were going to fight me. EXTREMELY aggressive people, they should be fired. The guy at the front was nice though.
I have had my car towed before and to be quite honest this has been by far the best storage place I been to. The 240 that I had to pay was not set by the company itself it is set by the state and city and the kind woman at the window gave me a break down of everything. I like that it has cameras everywhere so it makes me feel safe and my vehicle was well taken care of. I mean nobody likes getting their towed but I should have payed more attention to my surroundings. This company had great customer service released my vehicle quick.
Well, as far as car jail goes, I've been to worse. I mean, if your looking for a River Oaks or Memorial drive experience forget it. The place is down the street from a cement plant. It's dark and desolate at night. Make sure your ID matches the name on your car title or your in for a mess. Really, that's a good thing, you don't want just anyone being able to go down there and get your car no problem. They took my credit card and I was out in 10 minutes.
BEST AUTO Storage IS REALLY BAD. YOU CANT POST IF YOU DON'T GIVE AT LEAST 1 STAR. THEY DON'T DESERVE THAT! I was appalled at this business. My car was loaned to my daughter's & it was towed to their place of business that was extremely hard to find (even using google maps) for a parking violation. The business location looks like its in an abandoned industrial park, hard to find, & scary. I called them
immediately. They wouldn't give directions, or any help, told me to use google maps! They only had it about an hour that it took to find who towed it, where it was & calling them. They were very rude and tried everything in the book to delay picking it up from 11:00 am till 8:30 pm because they wouldn't take a credit card over the phone, nor let my daughter pick it up. Then they refused to accept a court order for my name change (cause I left my old drivers license at home )and had to drive 40 miles twice home to get it, go online, and get it notarized. Then they insisted I go online to get a release form and then get the form notarized for my daughter to drive my car home. My daughter made 2 trips there, I had to make 2 trips there and cancel an important appointment. I would caution anyone! I got the distinct impression they were trying to keep my car longer for all the harassment to charge for another day. They charged me $240.00 !!!!!
The lot manager I talked to is a liar. I called at roughly 10:00AM the morning after my vehicle was towed to gather all of the relevant details pertaining to reacquiring my vehicle. I asked him twice what the price to get it out of impound was, and he confirmed it was $240 both times. I come to pick up the my vehicle roughly 4 hours later at 2:00PM, and suddenly the price increased to $260. This sort of dishonest behavior should not be tolerated.
This location is terrible: Avoid going there at night time. They towed my car to this location illegally even when I paid the parking fee in advance with SpotHero. When I got there they would not give me my car back unless I pay $240 which I had to in the middle of the night. In the morning they accepted the error, but I had to go back there one more time to present credit card so they can issue refund. Very very bad experience. It cost me and my family a half day and a lot of headache trying to figure out where they took my car to, etc. At this point all I want to forget the whole experience altogether after I file a complaint with the city of Houston and BBB. I want to make sure they do their business right and don't cause the same kind of unnecessary pain to others!
