This rating is based on customer reviews, inventory size, pricing, and service quality
From recent reviews, Select Towing in Houston, TX scores 92/100. Sentiment is largely positive with a few serious outliers. Customers cite fast ETAs (often 10-30 min), professional, communicative drivers, fair pricing (~$145-$155), careful handling of low cars, photo-verified drop-offs, and hard-to-find skills like low-clearance garage access and long-distance tows. Wait times and professionalism are standout strengths. Complaints are rare but significant: rudeness, disputed damage, add-on fees, and one alarming safety claim, so excellent overall, but not flawless. No clear data on inventory or yard organization.
What clients say about Select Towing in Houston (TX)
Fadi was extremely helpful and kind. I originally asked to tow my truck back due to a charging system code, but he has able to diagnose and get my car back to running without the need for a tow. Appreciated his honesty and will save his number for the future.
My car was stuck in a garage with low clearance (6’5”) and Select Towing was the only company in the Houston area that had trucks with a low enough height clearance to access the garage. The driver, Freddy (Fadi), was awesome! He was extremely helpful, reassuring, and went an extra mile to help us during this stressful situation. Thankful that he got assigned to our case!
My sister was in a pinch today because her car would turn on. After calling 5 tow companies, this was the only one who was able to get into the galleria parking lot and help us! He was fast getting to us, and really quick at getting the car towed as well. Super helpful and kind. If I need any help towing, I’d choose Select towing first!
Chris was prompt, communicative, and friendly. He towed my vehicle to the shop, gave me a heads up when he was a few minutes away from arriving to the pick up location. Highly recommend.
Freddy is extremely professional fast and on top of his game. Within one hour after an accident, the vehicle was already at the Collision center. He is very communicative and responsive.
My car wouldn't start while I was leaving the gym, completely dead. I called them for a tow while I was away from the car to have it towed to the nearest dealership. Picked it up within an hour and dropped it off at the dealership without any hassle. Easy process and communication. A 30 minute tow to the dealership was $145 which is reasonable to me. I would recommend this tow company to anyone who has car issues.
So very happy with the service that was provided to me! Communication was timely and clear with no hidden agenda or fees. The car was brought to the shop of my choice and I was notified immediately of drop off with pictures. Highly recommend and would use again
Select towing provided excellent service. They told my car from Galveston Texas to Katy Texas with no problem. I did not have to be there in Galveston to pick up my car and I did not have to be in my final destination as well. Payment for services was very easy. I will definitely be using select towing again in the future
This is the best towing experience I’ve had. He was super kind and fast! Me and my partner got caught in the rain and flooded out the car and he was there within 30 minutes and towed us out of water that was about 6 inches high. Then a few days later he came and towed us to a shop. Super friendly guy, made great conversation as well.
They arrived very quickly after calling and even tried to help me fix the problem (reason my truck would not start) before towing me to the automotive repair shop! Great customer service. Can’t recommend them more highly.
I’ve dealt with numerous towing companies in the past (some terrible, others great), but Select Towing is by far the best towing company I’ve ever worked with. They are professional, quick to respond, have a great attitude, and go out of their way to make it easy to get the job done. Select Towing will be recommended from here on out to all my friends, family, and coworkers. Great company!
NEVER EVER USE THIS COMPANY. I called them, because I needed a jumpstart. After getting my vehicle started, the OWNER of this company tried to steal my vehicle, broke the door to my vehicle, physically threw me out of the vehicle onto the cement, then ran off with my phone. I am covered in road rash, I have a gash on my ankle that required stitches. I had to run to an emergency security box to call security. Thankfully the garage I was at has police officers as security, so they were able to get my phone back from him. I have no clue who left these positive reviews. As a small, young female, this was the most scary experience I have ever had. I drive an old car, I’m very familiar with tows, roadside assistance, mobile mechanics, etc., and I have NEVER had an experience like this. NO ONE should use this company EVER. Wait longer, pay more with someone else, trust me, it’s not worth your physical endangerment. I would post photos of the injuries, but it seems inappropriate for a review.
I own a car fleet and unfortunately this company was hired for a tow to my location. The driver was rude and when asked to drop the car on the other side on my property he said he would charge for another tow even before it was dropped. I hire tow trucks every week and this one is now on my blacklist and ranks at the bottom of service.
Select Towing was awesome! Two other tow companies turned us down because they couldn’t come into a parking garage. It was no problem for Select Towing. He got there quickly, loaded up with no issue, and delivered it and sent pictures. I am very impressed with Select Towing and will definitely use them again in the future if the need arises.
Absolutely the best! My car would not start so had to call a towing company. After 30 min they arrived and was able to fix my car so it didn’t need to be towed!!
Great service! Came faster than the expected arrival and our driver was really nice throughout the whole process. Our driver also looked at our car to see if there was anything he could do before he towed it and he was very accommodating. Will definitely be using his services again if we ever need it!!
Freddy with Select towing to the rescue he was extremely polite, and knowledgeable he knew exactly what kind of tow truck would work for our unique situation as we were parked in the Hobby airport parking garage he arrived in less than an hour during rush hour and within 20 minutes with great care and expertise loaded up our GMC Yukon and had it on its way … it didn’t stop there he then sent photos of our vehicle dropped off along with keys in the night drop box at dealership. We would high highly recommend his company! In such a stressful and might I also mention hot 100 degree situation this is the type of customer service and treatment I’d want to have! Select towing will always be our 1st choice. especially Freddy
Oh I wish I knew the name of the gentlemen that assisted me with getting a jump start. He was so kind, professional and helpful. I was stranded in a grocery store parking lot, sweating my tail off. I called around to quite a few placed and the wait to get someone out was horrendous. The gentlemen with Select Towing was transparent and patient, while remaining in communication with me the entire time. He tested my battery and educated me on what steps to take next. I recommend everyone save the number, 10 out of 10 I will be using them again.
Extremely rude. My car was damaged during the process of towing and although I was very patient and polite, the owner cursed at me, was very rude, and refused to assess or fix the damages. So now I have to go through the trouble of going to legal route to get this fixed. This is so unnecessary and unprofessional.
Fadi was a lifesaver! Great customer service and communication.
In Houston less than 24 hours only to discover someone cut out our catalytic converters. Had to have the vehicle towed back to Austin over the New Years weekend.
Fadi took such great care of us, the pricing was very fair, and he ensured our truck got to its destination safely. Highly recommend Select Towing.
Got a flat tire while working for Uber, I called roadside assistance they offer and they said it would be a minimum of 2 hour wait so I got on google and called Select Towing. I’m so happy I did they got there within 15 minutes. My spare didn’t fit my car so in the cold and wet weather he serviced my tire so that I could make it to the 24/7 tire shop which was 9 miles away from where I was located. Their services is amazing and he went over and beyond so that I wasn’t stranded. Was able to get to my destination and get back on the road to work. Thank you so very much once again!!!! I definitely recommend!!!
Select Towing is amazing! They towed my daughters car for us late Saturday night. And when we needed it towed from our house to the garage, Chris made a special trip out of their normal range to help us. Will always keep their number handy!
Fadi arrived within 20 minutes on a hot and busy Saturday afternoon to get my stalled car out of the middle of a busy road. He was kind and professional, triple-checked his work at all steps, and parked my car in my apartment lot better than I do myself! From the moment he arrived at the site, the whole process only took about 30 minutes. I highly recommend Select Towing to anyone who needs truly reliable service.
When everyone else we talked to failed to execute our towing job, these guys came through in a pinch. And on a holiday weekend no less. Better service and better rates as well. While I certainly hope to not need their services anytime soon, they will be my first call without question. Hands down, the best provider in the area.
Very nice and took care of my damaged Porsche. Fadi didn’t need to but advised how he was planning to tow the 911 Turbo from a tight spot. That’s when I knew I could walk away and head home without worry. Met me at my house about 20 minutes later and set the car in my car port. It was tight and I have to say he is the man! Took him 1 attempt and even left room for my garbage cans!
Super nice gentleman and I highly recommend his towing service. Most importantly, he honest and has reasonable prices too!
Total life savers! Reliable, friendly, and fast service! If you need a tow during anytime of the day definitely give them a call, I was stranded at 3am with a dead battery and they came ASAP when I still would have been on hold with any other towing company.
Every review that is bragging about how good they are, are true. I was lucky to ride with the owner of this towing company, and to see the owner get hands on is something we don’t see everyday.
His ETA was spot on, and reasonable. This company doesn’t give you false times of expected arrival, he is honest and transparent.
Service is spot on, and he knows that a towing company is a service business. Great company, will use them going forward.
I called after getting a stalled vehicle and waiting over 2 hours for another company in the rain. We were given a quote of 155$ for 20 miles and estimated time of 25 minutes for ETA to where my car was stalled.
Fadi arrived within 10-15 minutes and blew my mind. It was great! He was courteous and very professional. I really appreciated his quick response time and towing after being so frustrated with my insurance towing company.
I really recommend this place if you need a good towing service.
Who would have thought a towing experience would be so positive! My tire blew out around 11p on a Sat night and they arrived within 30 minutes. Very professional. Thank you so much for rescuing me!
Incredibly professional and pleasant to work with. Had to have my car towed 3miles and he made sure to secure it and drive slow (it’s a very low car and could scrap). Also gave me a discount because they took longer than expected to give me a quote. Really nice and definitely keeping that number in my phone in case I need another one.
