I cannot recommend this shop enough. As a night shift worker who got off at 8am with low tire pressure and scrambling to find a shop, I am so grateful to this place. Such kind and helpful staff as well as the most efficient mechanic I’ve been to in a while. I’ll be back for any of my car needs for sure!

My family and I have been taking our cars for service to Montrose Auto for over 15 years. They are experts, are very reasonable in their prices, and offer the best customer service.

We have been taking our cars for service here for 4 years and just recently had to avail ourselves of their body shop work. Well, Sam, the lead for body work, was knowledgeable, helpful, and went over and above what was required. The insurance company took their sweet time, but Sam was always there to let us know the status. Once the insurance company agreed on the work, Montrose finished it in exemplary time and the work is beyond reproach. Something that needed fixing, but wasn't included in the claim, got fixed to our delight. Highly recommended. A+++++

Really pleased with Montrose Auto. The fair pricing, the speedy service, the helpful technicians. I had my car towed from dealership over to Montrose knowing I would have a completely different and much better experience.

Went for low pressure in tire. Checked thoroughly and didn’t find and nails or leaks. Filled air and didn’t charge me anything even though I insisted to pay. Will go again to this place for any repairs.

Open Saturdays. Excellent waiting room with coffee, cold water, tv, magazines, and kid toys. Friendly and prompt. Didn’t try to sell me extra services, but did alert me to several small things I might want to take care of, things I knew I needed. Price was fair. They even washed my dirty windshield.

Service was excellent! I took my car to check A/C. Within two hours the car was ready. They gave me all the details before moving on. They are very serious about their job. Professional car shop. Highly recommend it!

Montrose Automotive was awesome. I needed several repairs for my Honda. They worked with my warranty company and helped me understand the entire process. They were transparent in their prices and finished the repairs before the estimated time. They even gave me a courtesy ride to my appointment while I was waiting. These guys are great. They are also very friendly. I would definitely recommend them to anyone.

Came to Houston from Corpus for a con and what I thought was my battery went out. Turned out to be my altenator amd battery went out. It was Saturday and we were leaving to go back home Sunday. He towed my car and fixed my car before end of day. And he looked for cheaper options for me since it was going to be expensive. Sergio was nice and kind and so understanding. Thanks so much for fixing my car and getting us back home.

Diagnosed my issue as likely a simple fix but went above and beyond to confirm they were right (at no additional charge) so I wouldn’t be back again the next week. I trust these guys to be honest and competent. Never had a bad experience. Five stars.

Excellent service and friendly staff who took care of my car that was having trouble last Saturday while I was in town visiting. I was worried it was my transmission but they found the culprit and were able to get me back on the road safely without breaking my bank account! Talk about same day service! I was introduced to this location from my mom. I had an issue with my Jeep where the engine kept shutting off in the middle of driving. Took it to the dealership and they couldn’t figure out the issue. Took my Jeep to location and they fixed the issue. Since then I’ve been coming to this location for everything. It’s hard to find trustworthy mechanics and this location was a heaven sent. The owner is the nicest most professional person I’ve met along with the everyone on the team. I highly recommend this location.

Absolute best automotive shop in Houston. I’ve been coming here for years with many different cars from luxury European to Ford. The technicians are knowledgeable and efficient. No non sense place. I bring Mercedes here for an oil change because they do a good job and don’t over charge you and try to sell you some “system check” you don’t need. They are also very friendly and personable. They treat you like family.

Had a headlight go out a couple of years ago. Brought it in to be replaced and they quoted me over $250. I was down on my luck at the time so I declined. To be fair, Auto Zone charged $175 for the bulb, so their replacement cost wasn’t that crazy.

Fast forward a few months and I found the bulbs online for cheap and decided to replace the burnt out one myself. As I go into replace the light I find that the technician removed my old bulb and never put it back in, and that now the housing had melted because I had my lights on automatic. Now I knew it was going to be more costly to fix (and I was still down on my luck).

Fast forward to a couple of weeks ago. I brought it in and explained the situation. I figured since this was kind of their fault they would be empathetic and try to work with me a bit on the repair. I wasn’t expecting anything, but a little remorse would have gone a long way. There was none of that. I believe the gentleman that helped me was named Sergio, but I could be wrong. He was quite combative and tried to make it seem like it was my fault, even though I’d never touched my light before. He came back and told me the entire headlight assembly needed to be replaced and it would cost $1300. I thought that was crazy, and though I was able to afford things now, I needed to sit on it.

I looked at it again myself, noticed the housing had a part number. Found the part on Ebay for $25 and replaced it in 2 minutes with nothing but a flathead screwdriver.

To me, this is negligence. They messed up my car, didn’t care, and tried to gouge me. Even if it weren’t their fault, the fact that they tried to charge me $1300 for what was actually a $25 job on my own is ridiculous. Would not recommend this shop on my life now.

Edit: In response to the owner’s statement, yes, my initial issue was entirely due to the missing bulb. After doing more research, I found I have an HID system. HID systems are high voltage system and can arc over or melt if no bulb is in it. It can cause a fire.

The mechanic removed the bulb and didn’t replace it, nor tell me to keep my lights turned “off” and not on “auto”. I myself went to replace it, and found it missing, with the socket melted. No one else worked on my car in that period.

There is nothing to refund. I fixed it all myself for $25, instead of $1300 your shop wanted to charge me.

I discovered Montrose Auto thanks to their shop being listed on the car fax as having serviced the car I was looking to buy. They gave me the confidence to pull the trigger. Fast forward two years and the car which doesn’t get driven much won’t start. Well, Sam at Montrose auto knew exactly what the issue was and helped me out ar the cost of a couple of hours of labor. How do you value that kind of insight and experience. I bring all my cars to Montrose Auto now.

I needed body work done on my car after a minor collision backing into the garage. Montrose Automotive performed a stellar job repairing my car. David assisted me throughout the entire process--I have nothing but wonderful things to say about him and his professionalism.
