Bobby & Austin were amazing. I had two axles that needed an immediate repair on my Mercedes.

Called in, received a quote and the next day my car was fully serviced. Ride is smooth again. Highly recommend anyone needing quality work in the Heights/River Oaks area.

I'm not really a review kind of guy, especially when my experience was positive, but I had give my story. Had my car diagnosed here after a breakdown, and I was weary about looking for a mechanic. I saw the reviews for this place and decided to give it a shot. The team here was professional, straight forward, and honest about my vehicle. Frank was incredibly professional and understanding throughout the process. You can tell that they value their customers and reputation. Fair, respectful, and sharp business sense, would definitely recommend.

I rarely write reviews but Frank was simply too amazing for me to not leave him one. I had a rattling noise in my rear right wheel and Frank addressed it immediately. I highly recommend this spot to anyone and will be bringing my car here for all future services.

My back tire had a small nail in it and had been leaking air from it. This place was close by where I live and had good reviews so decided to stop by.
I was in and out in about 10 minutes with an easy repair and wasn’t even charged! The guys working were so kind and seemed trustworthy. They don’t seem like the type of business to nickel and dime you for every little thing.
I plan on definitely coming back in the future for other car maintenance and repairs.

I was referred to Tech Auto by another mechanic. Frank and Bobby really took care of me. My car had craziness going on and “I’m just a girl” so, I legitimately had no idea what could have been the problem. These guys really took care of me, communicated and worked with me!! They explained everything down to the penny and made sure everything was clear before moving forward. I will continue coming here as long as they are around. As a woman, It’s so hard to find great Mechanics that you can trust!

I can’t say enough good things about my experience here! Frank and Bobby provided excellent customer service and truly went above and beyond. I had an issue with my car starting due to bad battery. Autozone said my terminals were too corroded to help me. I called Tech Auto and they were willing to help me out right away free of charge. I really appreciated the quick change out and terminal clean and the hospitality! I will be coming back here for future repairs.

I have owned my Ghia for over 8 years and the shift nob gave out. I spoke with Bobby and he recommended me which parts to order. Came back to drop it off and literally every single member provided 10 out of 10 customer service. My car shifts equivalent to my Miata. I’m beyond happy. I will bring the rest of my classic cars so they can work on them. I recommend this shop hands down. The staff loves cars and are passionate. I honestly don’t know how else to express how happy I’m.

Absolute worst place to take your car, they talk a good game, very friendly and customer oriented but have no idea what they are doing. Beware of these people, they charged me $600 to repair a $15 part and that didn't even solve the oil leak that I had, they played a guessing game and changed the wrong part so now I still have the leak and I'm out $600, ten years ago I woukd beat that man to a pulp. I hate being taken advantage of and wasting my hard earned money and lastly wasting my quality time... Don't go to these people... Check out T n T motors at 3409 Sadler Dr.

I brought a Buick Grand National to Tech Auto 3 years ago & paid shop owner Bobby H. $8400 to rebuild the motor..he wasted 3 years of my time & gave me back a still non running vehicle & refused to refund even part of what I paid him. See you in court Bobby. Don't be fooled like me, stay away from Tech Auto if you really value your vehicle.

I was really hoping this was gonna work out for some work on my 1974 Volkswagen thing. Needless to say, I picked it up disappointed after it had been there for a solid week, With no phone call updates even after calling myself several times. It was never looked at, To my knowledge, I find it interesting that the engine filter was laying in The backseat ??. I had requested that it have its cover To which I was told it would, but when I got there, the cover was off, and the car was dirty on the inside. One of the mechanics tried to explain some things to me, but the main guy who works on the classic cars was nowhere around, but when I picked it up, I think he was there, and he never greeted me.
The receptionist was the friendliest part of my visit.

Long overdue in writing this review. Bobby and his crew at Tech Auto Maintenance have always provided excellent service over the years on a variety of vehicles I've rotated in and out of my personal 'fleet'. Some fixes quick and easy while others way more complex - each time a positive experience. Transparent, trustworthy, and EXTREMELY timely (Bobby is on a very short list of mechanics I trust). Huge props to Mitch who rebuilt the entire AC system in my 80-series Land Cruiser on a stupidly quick turnaround before leaving next morning for a 3k-mile road trip (truck never skipped a beat and AC still ice cold years later!) Walk the parking lot and it'll be clear that these guys know what they're doing. Highly recommend Tech Auto. 5-stars all-round!

Really love Bobby and his crew. I have a heavily modified Jeep Wrangler JK that I've taken to him repeatedly for advice, service, and upgrades. He's never steered me wrong and always done excellent work.

This last go was swapping to my third set of springs and shocks, plus as aftermarket oversized radiator to help the engine stay cooler in my desert journeys out west.

He's not the cheapest. He charges what he's worth and his years of knowledge on offroad classics is rare in the Houston area.

Excellent experience.
My power front seat back was stuck in the extreme forward position and I needed to drive from Houston to Asheville, NC. The Service Manager at TAM explained what they needed to check so he suggested I drop it off the next morning. By noon the next day he called me saying the switch was bad and quoted a fair price. By late afternoon THE SAME DAY he called me and said my car was repaired and I could pick it up anytime. The power seat back works fine the price quoted was the amount charged. After the payment transaction was completed he moved my car so it was easy to pull straight out of the parking lot.
I would always consider Tech Auto Maintenance first for any repair.

Had a little work done on my car. Bobby came highly recommended and did a great job, fast and professional. He truly knows cars and it shows, they have a lot full of classics in various states of being worked on. He can work on new model high tech rides just as well.

I want to say a HUGE thank you to Jeff and Bobby. I had a flat tire at the car wash yesterday and had to drive it home. The first place I called the next day was Tech Auto Maintenance. Jeff answered first and was so friendly and helpful. Bobby was also extremely nice and came across the street to help me. Bobby was able to remove my flat tire and put on my spare. Being away from family, I didn’t have anyone to call. This place treats you like family and makes sure you get back on the road quickly and efficiently.
