it was recommended to me to use sackett auto repair and I'm very grateful it was. Richard was honest with me through the whole process . there were no surprises they did a great job I can't recommend them more. I have a Fiat 500 and from the very beginning they had confidence that they could repair this car , I have been in Houston for 11 years by far this is the best shop and now the only shop I will ever use. I have to say that I wrote a review at the time I was frustrated and caught up in my feelings. This review is from my heart and not anger. Sackett Auto has only been a big help for me and my family. The owner and his mechanics is awesome and very knowledgeable of their work. Though dealing with an older vehicle repairs and diagnostics can take some time they would still find the issue and address them. These guys know their stuff and will get your vehicle going in the right direction. I want to thank the owner personally for his patience and care with my family vehicle. I highly recommend their service to anyone and ask that you have patience with them. This is my honest review.

I'm so happy I chose to come here to have my door handle replaced. Richard was extremely helpful and the team worked fast on the job. This place definitely gave a warm family business feeling and I will be back for any and all of my future auto repairs.

Richard helped me out get the oil change done. Bery accommodating and helpful, don't judge the eay their building looks!

Had my 2005 Nissan altima's oil pump and timing chain replaced, Very fair, and expedient. Had an issue with the crankshaft sensor upon pick up and they took care of it no charge. Highly recommended.

Sackett Auto Repair demonstrated good customer service, had reasonable rates, and quick high quality auto repair work. I'm so glad that I found this shop. They got me back on the road! I recommend them, without a doubt.

Amazing! Had an issue with my vehicle on my way out of town. Owner said to come by and he would take a look. Instantly identified the problem and we were on the road in no time. I highly recommend them for anyone in need of auto repair or maintenance!

After a prior mechanic diagnosed my car, they didn’t put it back together right and my car started running very poorly. I took it to the skilled mechanics here and they took their time diagnosing and troubleshooting the problem. They didn’t fix the problem because it turned out to be more serious than what I can afford but they did put it back together the correct way and my car started running like it used to. Thank you guys so much for getting me back in the car of my dreams. Highly recommended for their attention to detail and lots of car knowledge.

Rafael is the best, most responsive, most knowledgeable and friendly mechanic we've ever worked!!! He doesn't waste your time and will only tell you to bring in your vehicle in when he has time to work on it. He has done wonders repair my husband's classic cars when all others failed us and they charged a ridiculous price. He's rate have been very reasonable, even less than we would expect at time. We trust him with all of our vehicle repairs.

I had taken my vehicle to Sackett Auto Repair for a broken connector in the clutch linkage. They diagnosed and repaired it in a matter of a couple days. The same was true for a faulty blower motor, which they honored the warranty for when it was making errant noise.

But the real plus was when I brought my car in at a later date thinking my clutch was going bad (which would be a costly repair) at which point they test drove it and diagnosed it as something much less expensive and that I was able to repair myself. That goes to show a great deal of honesty and it is greatly appreciated as a customer!

Glad I was referred to Jerry! Being from NY and having an older make car I was happy to have found someone honest and reasonable in the work that was needed. Being from up north where we have cold winters and my car having spent a lot of time in and around the snow, I was in need of a new subframe mount/bushings (rusting/car making lots of noise). Jerry was upfront and provided the best price and also worked quickly to get it done for me. Thanks again guys!

About a year ago I was having problems with my car turning over. I thought it was the starter so I purchased a new starter and took it to Sackett to have it installed. After Jerry reviewed my truck (06 F150) he said that I needed a new flywheel installed; they also recommended the new starter be installed at the same time. I agreed and they installed the new flywheel and turnaround time was quick. The price was fair for the work performed. They gave me a 1 year warranty on the parts and labor and now 1 year later I am not having any issues so I am happy to leave the review. My truck is old so I would definitely go back here first if I have any more trouble.

We have been using Sackett for decades. They were always friendly, reliable and a fair price. Unfortunately our latest experiences has forced us to find a new mechanic.
About 6 months ago, we brought our vehicle in for a few repairs when we were informed that the slight shaking we were experiencing was due to the brake pads needing replacement, so we asked them to replace them. A few months later our ABS and battery needed replacing (very costly) so they preformed this repair as well. The last few weeks we noticed some sounds that seemed to be coming from the brakes so we took it back in. They informed us that the rear brake pads and now rotors need replacing. Considering we were under the impression that the brake pads had already been replaced and recently completely changed our ABS without mention of the pads, we were pretty shocked. Something we thought was fixed has now become much more costly due to the rotor replacement. Needless to say, we took our vehicle to a new mechanic for this repair and will not be returning to Sackett.

Edit: Turns out the rotors did not need replacing. Makes we wonder how honest they were about the previous repairs. Very disappointing.

By far the BEST auto mechanics I’ve ever used. I’ve been bringing my car to Sackett Auto Repair for years and won’t let another mechanic touch my car. They are professional, honest and fair. I recommend Sackett to all of my friends and local family members, especially my female friends. They’ve never upcharged me or performed services I didn’t need. Added bonus, they are extremely efficient and will have your car back same-day/next-day.

Omar and Jerry are the BEST!

Literally, they know anyone that walks into this shop by name even if you think your job is to small for them to remember you. I have been coming to Omar and jerry for 5 years now and I've neverrrrrrr experienced such clean mechanic shop, professional personal, and men that are so detail oriented . If you're looking for a mechanic you know these words I'm writing are rare. This guys take their jobs very seriously and precisely. Idc how far I am with car issues. I'm waiting getting towed to them and to them only. They work as a team so everyone is on the same page about progress of your vehicles needs. I'm actually bummed out that I didn't think to leave a review years ago but I've never left one before so it was only right my boys at Sackett got the first one! My Mercedes is with them as I write this. I miss it but I know it's in good hands and it will be perfect unlike how I dropped it off when I pick it up. Thank you guys!

Omar is perhaps one of the best service people I’ve come across in a long time. They are honest, professional, thorough, and affordable. One of the few mechanics in the city that doesn’t try to suggest 10 million things being wrong with your car. I’ll definitely continue using this shop for my car care needs in the future.

I initially found Sackett Auto when I was looking for a repair place next to my house after moving from further outside the city. I saw Sackett had great reviews and brought my car in.

I have little technical knowledge of cars and was nervous about feeling pressured at a car repair shop the same way I did at my dealership, but Omar guided me through what repairs were needed for my car and went above and beyond answering every one of my questions. He is transparent and prompt about communicating what is needed and the price of the repairs.

When I was in the market for a new car, Omar gave me great advice/pointers on the car buying process which is why I take my new car to Sackett too. I recommend this place to all of my friends and will continue taking my car here as long as I can.

Omar & his team are the BEST!! He was very thorough & detailed in both explaining & investigating why my steering wheel kept locking up when my car made sharp turns & when reversing, even when driving. Absolutely BEST customer service I’ve experienced at a mechanic in years. Thorough work. Honest and up front about that I needed and what was optional. I had them work on my dad’s truck after it made its way to me when he passed way; I was nervous about the extent of work it might need and the cost. Not only were they competitively priced, the repairs were timely and there were no hidden costs or gotchas. Bonus: They were so kind about working on his truck under such sad circumstances. Highly recommend!

I work in downtown Houston and needed a reliable place to get down to the root cause of my Check Engine Light. I only had 2 days left before the end of the month to get an inspection and registration. I randomly called Sackett and told them my problem over the phone. The guy on the phone was very familiar with the engine codes I was receiving and sounded pretty confident he could fix it. They had my truck diagnosed, fixed AND inspected before I got off of work for less than $200. They even dropped me off and picked me up from work. Excellent customer service. They were very kind and not condescending. I had a calming peace when I dropped off the vehicle and didn't feel nervous thinking I would be ripped off like most auto repair places. I waited a few days to write this review, because I wanted to make sure the check engine light did not come back on. So far so good! They even fixed my A/C blower hose that needed to be adjusted. I had been riding around Houston in a hot car, not knowing it was a simple fix. These guys are great, honest and reputable!

Omar was incredibly professional and patient. He made sure I understood the issues with my vehicle and the options for repair. He quoted me for a price that was more than fair and below quotes from other shops for the same work. Work was completed quickly and around my schedule. I highly recommend.

I've been going to Sackett Auto for many, many years and a couple of locations. I only go to the one Jerry's at on Austin Street. Jerry was service manager at a different shop. After a change of ownership he opened his own shop. Most of the mechanics and staff went with him. As a woman I appreciate Jerry and Omar his service manager. They are always ready to explain in layman terms everything that needs to be done. His prices are always fair

I had taken my truck to another shop (RMS) which had really high reviews, which turned out to be a total disappointment (see my review of RMS). I found Sackett Auto Repair who was recommended by The Auto Doc Repair Shop for the type of repairs I needed. I called Sackett and spoke to Omar who was professional and courteous. I explained what repairs I needed, and Omar gathered some basic information and with in the hour I had a written estimate emailed to me for the cost of the repairs. I needed a new timing chain on my 2010 Ford F150 and some other minor work so the truck would pass the annual inspection. I brought the truck in for the repairs. Omar called me back shortly and found an oil leak from the oil filter adapter plate gasket. This is were the oil filter screws on. The previous shop never mentioned this after they did an oil change, I did not need. So, I had Omar at Sackett Auto Repair include this in the repairs. The turnaround time for all repairs was 2.5 work days. Which was surprisingly fast! When the repairs were completed Omar even offered to pick me up from my home and bring me back to the shop. That was great! Made my life a whole lot easier! After paying the bill. I drove the truck home. The truck felt like it did when I bought it brand new in 2010. I could not believe how responsive it was. These guys did a great job, for a fair price. I would highly recommend them to any one who needs automotive repairs. Great job Sackett Auto Repair. Omar you just won over a loyal customer.

Very nice man, Omar I think was his name, at the front desk. I had to have my AC checked out, a valve replaced and refilled Freon and it was $140. I felt the price was reasonable and they were very helpful and explained everything along the way. I will definitely be back for other truck maintenance.

Omar is the epitome of great customer service. Trustworthy and a real value. I contacted Sackett because my niece's Jeep Grand Cherokee's rear view mirror had disengaged from her windshield. We needed a same-day fix. Omar was so helpful on the phone, I knew he would solve our problem. When the first adhesive his mechanic tried failed, Omar called a friend at the Chevy dealer to asked for advice. The mechanic at the car dealer recommended a special adhesive that they used. We were in a hurry to get back on the road and Omar volunteered to pick up the adhesive for us on his lunch hour. We grabbed a bite to eat and returned to Sackett where the new adhesive was applied. Mission accomplished!

I had some minor repair work done recently on my wife's car. Brought it in at lunch time and the part was delivered and the car fixed before close. Also I was having an issue with the mirror on my car that I'm sure a dealership would have gouged me for, but their mechanic took a quick look at it and fixed it right there on the spot. Didn't even charge me for it.

These guys are very friendly and professional. Highly recommend!
