I had a great experience at this pep boys shop! Miguel helped me out and I honestly couldn’t have asked for better service. He was friendly, professional, and immediately knew what the issue was. He explained everything clearly, got straight to work, and fixed the problem way faster than I expected. You can tell he really cares about doing the job right and taking care of customers — no upselling, no hassle, just honest and efficient service. It’s hard to find places like that anymore. If you come here, definitely ask for Miguel. I’ll definitely be back!

The manager Miguel is very personable and makes sure to explain why services are being recommended without things feeling high pressure. Work at this location is always good in my experience.

My service was amazing. Both checking and checkout. But my checkout guy Miguel made my day he is very attentive, caring, and funny. I have a new shop to come to now for all my needs and it’s work the price. More than the shade tree mechanics but definitely affordable!!!

Pass this place up if you have issues with your tires my light came on in my car and I stopped here to see if I could get it looked at and the Manager said the only the could do was air the tires up but it would be three hours before they could see if I had anything in my tire the tech only aired two tires up and I let him know the light was still on and he got real nasty and rude and told me to just drive the car and the light would go off I left and immediately had to find another tire shop because I damn near had a flat it’s crazy people are hollering for a job and have a job and don’t want to work this establishment is ran by Lazy Unprofessional individuals

This is a one star for this specific location. Have used pep boys the last 4 times I needed my tires looked at well over a few thousand dollars spent. Had an emergency today and couldn’t help me no mechanic was working. Went to Firestone 3 minutes away helped me last minutes no problem. Will be using them from now on

I tried getting my tire patched 4 times. I made an appt the 1st time showed up and said they can’t take me and to come back first thing in the morning. Came back the next day when they opened and told me the tech won’t be in till noon. Tried a third time and offered to leave my car at 3pm and they told me it wouldn’t be ready till noon the next day. This place is a waste of time.

Disappointed. We took my sons car her for a nail in the tire and they were quick friendly and fixed it no problem. 3 weeks later I made an appointment and brought my car in for a nail. Guy was wishy washy and said it couldn’t be fixed that it was the side wall. It was clearly in the middle of the tire. You could tell he just straight up did not want to do it or fix it for whatever reason. Took it to discount tire the next morning they patched it for free, were professional and nice. Don’t waste your time and take your business to someone else who appreciates the business.

I arrived around 7:40 am for brake service & to replace front wipers. Thomas, ( manger) advised he didn't have a mechanic today, since he called out last night. 🙄 I asked if another mechanic coming in? Nope! Before I proceeded to leave Thomas stated per the mechanic, he would be in around 9 am. So up to me, if wanted to still leave the vehicle. I agreed, since my original plan was to leave the vehicle & return after class, shortly after 1 pm. During my break,(11:30) I called for status & was informed no mechanic yet. Come 12:34 I received text, saying mechanic arrived & if I wanted them to proceed? Of course not, I get out of class at 1, so no way will I be sitting around waiting, especially being that I have doctors appointment at 2:30. Don't understand how a big corporation only has 1 mechanic working at this location. So basically nothing gets repaired when the 1 & only mechanic calls out! Spent money on rideshare for no reason. Then will have to pay again for rideshare, if I go back to this location. This location just happens to be the closest to my school. No shuttle service, nor do they foot the bill for rideshare, when they are repairing the vehicle. Not sure how they manage to operate with only 1 mechanic? Clearly, they don't operate when mechanic is out!!

Do not waste your time. My daughter stopped in for a fix a flat service because she had a nail in her tire and Thomas told her that she needed to make an appointment and come back the next day. When she asked to make the appointment in person, he told her he couldn't and she needed to book online. So she booked an appointment for the following day at 10 am. When she arrived on time for her appointment, the same guy (Thomas) told her that despite having an appointment, they wouldn't be able to service her vehicle for a couple of hours and asked her to come back later in the EVENING. She left and went to a different location in The Heights and was helped immediately. I'm not sure how this location gets away with such terrible customer service, but I wish someone had warned us before we wasted time and gas for no service.

I schedule for appointment this morning for tire check at 9:30 am. They told me only one worker was available to do all cars that day. The attendant told me he will call me later today to tell me what time I can come in. They never called me and later today they sent an email saying I cancelled the appointment when I never did. Attendant look uninterested. Don’t ever bring your car here

Buyer Beware Lesson: Brake hardware used is “universal fit”. This causes a “clacking noise” with the hardware when navigating over bumps when no brake pressure is applied. None of this was explained by Admin or Technician. “Yes, it is the noise.” The brakes work fine, but no solution was offered. To replace with OEM etc..

I called to ask a few questions about an alignment before I booked the appointment on line. The guy Mike that answered the phone was very dry and when I asked how early do they start on cars he told me they open at 7am but don’t start until 8 am. I then asked about how long does an alignment take he said about 1hr-1hr 1/2 but that there machine is down at that location so he won’t be able to do it? He didn’t give a time frame on when it would be fixed or suggest anything lol he just kinda bottomed lined me and I said okay and he hung up. What part of that was good customer service? Definitely won’t be going to that location!

I came here to get my front and rear brakes, oil change, and tire pressure sensors replaced for my 2020 BMW X2. They threw in every discount to help me out and I paid way less than industry standards. I was truly a very happy customer.

Unprofessional, Unorganized, Kind of Sketchy and Just Lazy: I brought my car in for a basic tune-up. Made a reservation 5 days in advance. They called me on the phone the day after I made the reservation asking me why I missed my appointment. I had to remind them that my reservation was for 4 days from now, on Sunday.. I brought my car in 4 days later on Sunday around 10:00 am. They told me it would be ready at 1:30 at the latest. They later called me at 2:30 telling me they hadn't started and something about how I was required to have additional things done to my car. The woman on the phone couldn't give me much detail about what additional needed to be done nor the additional cost and she put the mechanic on the phone. The mechanic sounded like a kid who was guilty of something and he couldn't give me much information either and kept being like "IDK man.. I just got here.. IDK what they are talking about man". I returned to get my car with "nothing done to it", after carving out and spending my entire day and planning it for 5 days. When I showed up, my car was inside of the garage, with the hood up, etc. The woman behind the counter acted like they were in a hurry just to get me out of there. She handed me a sticky note and asked me to write my email address on it in pen and that they would contact me the next day with the additional estimate. I left and never heard from them again. I almost think they broke something or couldn't figure something out and tried to cover it up and got me to leave with my car without noticing.

Scheduled an appointment showed up so said appointment walked in the cashier was having a conversation with a customer and the Mechanic was sitting in a chair next to her. The cashier never stopped her “personal conversation “ with the customer to acknowledge me to inform me she will be with me shortly or just to say hello. I stood there for about five minutes before I interrupted the conversation that was going on and on to ask if I had an appointment should I just pull up to the garage. I was informed no I still need to wait in line and added information provided that they had a customer yesterday who had a 9am appointment but did not get seen until 3pm. And for added substance… the cashier was not working and having the conversation simultaneously, she was having the conversation and barely working… Also there it appeared that there was only the one mechanic the one that was sitting in the inside in the chair. I don’t know what their work is like as I left without service but as it relates to customer service and on time service I do not recommend.

My first time taking my vehicle to this shop. I came in to have my break pads changed because Hyundai service center said that it needs to be change. The technician came and explained everything that it doesn’t need to be changed right now and that my break pads are still good for another 8-10k miles. And also he also checked my rotors and they’re still good! I facetime my husband and the technician talked to him and explained everything as well. I love honest and trustworthy people, that is Ms. Regina and Mr. Ben and that is very hard to find this days. You both are AWESOME!!! And Ms. Regina, THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE TO THIS COUNTRY! Will definitely bringing my 2 vehicles here from now on. God bless you and this shop always, in all ways.

Regina Wright-Moore is an outstanding Assistant Store Manager at Pep Boys. She greeted me with professionalism and made sure my concerns were handled quickly and clearly. Her communication was honest, and she took the time to explain everything without rushing. The store was well-organized and her team clearly respected her leadership. You can tell Regina takes pride in her work and genuinely cares about the customer experience. She’s a true asset to the Pep Boys team.

Gigi was so informative and helpful! After a really bad experience at another mechanic shop, she showed me some basics about checking my own tires and rotors so I can be more knowledgeable in the future. They did a wonderful job on my Subaru and I highly recommend this location!

DO NOT pay for any services before you receive them. I made the mistake of allowing the manager Robert G to place an order for me for 4 new tires. The tires were supposed to be in the following week. I was in a auto accident that week and found out my SUV would possibly be totaled. I contacted Robert as soon as I found out and he assured me everything would be okay and he would hold the tires until I found out. The SUV was indeed totaled. It was confirmed two weeks after I spoke to him. This was mid September 2024. Robert has given me the run arounds. Lied about providing me the contact information of his regional manager. Even pretended to call the regional manager (he stepped away when on the phone so I suspected he did not actually call him). It is not January of 2025 and have not be refunded- nor have I received the product or labor I was charged for. I've file a complaint with the BBB and contacted an attorney. I was charged $885.25 for 4 tires and alignment, balance, and labor. No work or product was ever received. I am now disputing via my bank. Do not engage in business with this man. He is very charming and appears to be genuine- do not be fooled. Customer service is a joke and complaints just get routed back to him and no one has ever contacted me to try to assist with this issue. I called multiple times, emailed, and left messages!

Thomas was nice on the phone and in person. He was genuinely helpful when I had an emergency tire issue. Pretty thankful I didn’t get the other lady working at the front desk - she seemed discouraging to help the other guests with their emergencies and she was pretty rude to her colleagues (mechanics). Luckily Mechanic Keene was very positive and trustworthy! All around great experience, thanks Thomas and Keene. It was fast considering it was a Saturday and unexpected! Cost:$220 Issue: nail in tire Sat. 12/4 5p-6:30pm

I’ve never walked out of a business so fast in my entire life. Short king Robert had a terrible attitude from the time I walked in the door. I asked for a balance and rotation and immediately prefaced with the fact I don’t know much about cars. He then asked what size my tires were and I told him I had no idea. He sarcastically asked if it was my car. I said ‘excuse me’ to give him a chance to save the interaction. He responded with “Don’t be sensitive, what size are your tires? I’ve never met anyone who didn’t know the size of their tires.” So I couldn’t help myself and I responded, “They’re about as tall as you.” Robert stuttered for a moment then I held out my hand and thanked him. He refused to shake my hand and just stood there like a moron. Discount Tire is right around the corner and are much less expensive.

Went in for a tire rotation and unfortunately, my hubcap was lost on a road test by the staff. I appreciated them going the extra mile to check my tire sensors but what really set their service apart was the fact that Robert ordered a new set of hubcaps for me and had them brought to me at the shop! I’ve never experienced service like this before and I appreciate the willingness of everyone to go above and beyond to make sure I left satisfied and all situations were remedied. Will definitely be back!

People beware... I was charged for service/parts not rendered on August 23, 2022. I took my vehicle to Pep Boys on 4141 Greenbriar, Houston Tx 77098 after trying to get my inspection done, but it did not pass because of the worn tires. I was told I needed all 4 tires changed. After a lengthy process, Pep Boys claimed all 4 tires were new, balanced, and aligned. I, and a friend, noticed a thick white substance on the two front tires. I brought this to the attention of the gentleman, Carroll, that had taken care of my order. He stated that it would wash off in the car wash. Oscar, also present, heard my concern. Why would they return my car in worse condition than it was delivered in? After taking to Kwik Car in Pearland today, August 27, 2022, to ask about the inspection, the inspector on duty said it would not pass because of WORN BACK TIRES. My suspicion leads me to believe that I was scammed by someone in the company that thought as a woman I would not notice. So, either my new tires were stolen and sold elsewhere after I paid $599.98 plus tax for them, or they are sitting in inventory ready to sell to another unsuspecting customer. Either way, this was not just an oversight. It took three hours and $1600 to go pick up 4 tires to "replace" all four, yet only two were replaced. It is clear that this was a very unprofessional job by the extremely dirty (white substance) "new" tires and the contents of my glove box was left scattered on my passenger floorboard of my vehicle. What were they searching for? I am requesting l a refund for non-receipt of parts and a replacement of my back tires that match the front tires at the expense of Pep Boys for the inconvenience. My car needs to pass inspection before August 31, 2022 before the expiration. I lodged a complaint and attached pictures of the worn tires still on my vehicle and the new ones to compare to, the statement from the inspector, and the receipt for this transaction. Buyer beware.

ONE THE WORST CAR SERVICE EXPERIENCES OF MY LIFE!!! Took my car in to have the radiator, fan and thermostat replaced. After this work was done, my hood latch was stuck and wouldn't open. They totally denied any wrongdoing (despite having worked directly in that area) I had to bring my car back to them three times to get that hood open. A week later, the car began overheating. Turned out that they never put any coolant in it. When I brought it back again, they denied this too. Then claim they were going to get to the bottom of the problem and test drive it. Not once did they ever call me to tell me any work was done during any of these instances, I had to keep pestering them and calling them and staying on top of them because they are so poor with their communication. They never once test drove it, my odometer showed the same reading when I picked it up after they claimed they test drove it and couldn't get it to overheat. They knew they made a total mistake repairing my coolant system but they were trying to deny that along with the hood damage. They kept telling me that the head gasket needed to be replaced. but it turned out that was a lie I had it checked out at another mechanic and it was just fine. I went ahead and checked to see if they replaced the thermostat and this is what I found (see pics) The gasket was improperly installed by this pep boys and causing excessive leakage into the engine block. If you bring your car to these people, the vehicle will leave in worse condition than it was when you brought it. Be warned, one of the worst car service experiences of my life!
