Horrible company to buy engines and transmissions from!! I ordered an engine for a Kia and paid for it via bank transfer ..First red flag I should have stopped there. I ordered the engine beginning of October they sent me the wrong engine ! Took almost 2 months before they sent me the right engine. We installed it to find that the engine is knocking . The vehicle never left my shop now we are at the mercy of Jordan to help us get a replacement engine and Jordan does not return our calls or emails and no one else at that company can help us but Jordan . When doing business with people over the phone and internet good communication is a must without especially when we have product issues and they have been paid in full this is the time when we should hear back from them the most but instead they are hiding behind “Jordan “ and he does not return calls or emails !! Horrible customer service and it by the way things are going it looks like they are not going to stay committed to their warranty obligations.
These guys are dragging me around the loops. There’s no communication at all I bought an engine and no sales guy will talk to me because it has to be Jordan…. Well Jordan doesn’t answer his phone nor is email so basically I’m just out my money and no one at the business has an answer for me but besides wait on Jordan lol I’m so sick honestly
Good luck if you have an issue with your order: no callbacks, ducking phone calls, no email responses. Unprofessional at best, buy your parts elsewhere.
I just want to say that I highly recommend Arcos Auto Parts. I worked with Jordan, who is the manager of sales, and also Gustavo. Both were knowledgable and honest people. They took their time and answered all of my questions and looked up information for me.
I needed a 5.7 Hemi for a hemi swap for my 2011 Jeep Wrangler. Jordan was kind and accommodating enough to let me hear the engine run in person. The techs were amazing and checked the oil level before running the 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee I got the engine from. Jordan even considered whether I'll be staying in town to move me up in the queue to have the engine removed, which meant a lot to me. They were a bit backed up and I live 4 hours away in Louisiana. I had to go back home to take my mother to her doctor's appointment the same day so I told him I can come back whenever.
I honestly had such a great experience with Jordan that I ended up getting a 545RFE transmission as well from a 2011 Dodge Ram 1500.
Some tips and advice for anyone looking to shop with Arcos Auto Parts. Online chats, texts and emails won't get you responses because they are a bit short staffed I believe and Jordan will give you his undivided attention when you are either on the phone with him or are with him in person. Customer service is paramount with them, and you can tell they genuinely care.
When I picked up my engine and transmission a few days ago, Jordan was transparent about a crack in the oil pan and gave me $200 credit back on my credit card to buy a new oil pan, and offered to pay the difference if it was over $200. They were also able to put the engine into the back of my 2-Door Wrangler and the transmission where the passenger seat was removed for it. I wasn't opposed to renting a truck, but they took their time and made it happen for me, which I am grateful for.
If I ever need an auto part in the future such as an engine or transmission, I would 100% shop with them again! I'm not sure about the other reviews, but I had an amazing experience. Maybe I'll come back when I upgrade to a 6.4 Hemi and 8HP75 ??️?
Called Gustavo on Friday morning with exact parts and model numbers. He said he had one, and would ship out same day. Wednesday of the following week I drive 4 hours to pick it up, because it was still not ready to ship, but then find out when I arrive that it is not the model number I gave him. Was told it was my fault and I would be charged 20% for restocking fee.
Called and talked to Jerrod. Needed a 3.8L motor for my daughters 1999 Mustang. They quoted me a price and apparently the motor came out of a 2000 Mustang with 90k miles. Paid $400 for shipping waited a week to get it to find out the motor came out of a 1997 Mustang. (Per casting number on block). Called and told them what happened and they were very friendly apologized sent me a return label. Trucking company picked up motor on 8/20/2025 and it was delivered to them on 08/22/2025. Apparently the correct motor was shipped out on 08/21/2025 but Jordan refuses to give me a tracking number. They are treating me like I ordered the wrong part when it’s their screw up not mine!! Now my daughter is at college without a vehicle and told them it was her car and when she was leaving for college but I guess since it’s not their child they don’t care she doesn’t have a vehicle!! I definitely WILL NOT do business with them again.
These guys are legit. I was needing a sprinter transmission for a 4wd one ton. They came through and ended up finding one with 4.5 miles on it.
Sent pictures to verify and everything. Then the truck got to Houston there was an issue, and Gustavo and another employee jumped in the truck, drove to the other side of Houston to get it, and brought it back after hours for me to have since I drove down from Oklahoma.
I tried giving my business to these folks to buy some wheels. Told me they will call me back and never do with a shipping quote. I got someone on the line and gave me a Freight Quote for shipping 2 wheels... Pack in box and UPS out... Waste of 3 days trying to get an order in
Bought an engine from them last holidays/Jan and have had nothing but issues with no response even within being in warranty. Still having issues as of May 2025 and no call back or response to my emails.
++Update: 5/16/25: Owner and I discussed my situation, and we settled it amicably. a moment of frustration that slipped through the cracks but at least its resolved
Update: Had a warranty issue with an engine but was finally corrected after reaching out. They were friendly and helpful even though I was extremely frustrated at first. I appreciate the response and professionalism after.
I found this place on Car-part and they are pretty good. Good prices and parts. I've read some of the bad reviews prior to shopping here but obviously they only tell their side of the story. Good place and even better people! Thanks Jordan for your help!
Our experience with Arcos auto was pretty terrible. We purchased a Chevy 8 Speed transmission. Once it arrive and was installed we found out that the transmission was not the year stated. It had all of the transmission specific numbers scraped off of the sticker as well. This made it a completely unusable transmission for anybody but, it didn't even fit the year we were working on. We did a warranty request through Arcos. They requested we ship the transmission back for inspection. We agreed. I received and email from Arcos warranty department that the transmission was deemed ok and that we would be charged a 25% fee as well as shipping both ways. The problem was that the transmission was still setting in my shop waiting to be picked up. Apparently they had already inspected and deemed the transmission as good and resalable while it was still setting in my shop floor. How many times can a crooked salvage yard sell the same unusable transmission and charge customers $1500 worth of restocking fees and shipping? Who knows, but I would like to help it not happen to anyone else.

Their dedication to customer satisfaction was evident, when buying car parts it can be iffy and they went above and beyond to ensure everything was handled smoothly. Purchased an engine only to discover it was tight and would not turn over. My shop pulled the head and discovered an awful lot of carbon build up causing it to use oil. Arcos refused to warranty the motor because we didn't just return the motor but instead diagnosed the problem. poor warranty service
I’ve been buying parts from Alan and the guys at Arcos for about a year now. They are always helpful and the prices are very reasonable. They really do their best to make sure you are getting the value you expect and the parts you need.

Bought a transmission from them, they sent the wrong one and then charge me a restocking fee even though it was their fault. Terrible business to work with. The reps are very nice, owner is EXTREMELY shady with bad business practices. Don't trust them at all.

I purchased an engine which was very clean, the price was according to market but they offer money back and a good core price, the engine was well packaged and communications were smooth and professional they even offer delivery. The engine has been installed for 3 weeks, and it's running good hopefully it stays running for another decade. They also have a huge selection of both older and newer cars. Definitely recommend.
