Brother got towed from a parking lot that had no sign, was instead on the opposite side of the parking lot - on the street. When we called, they couldn't give any details, just that they had it and it was gonna cost 300$. Yet the “towing” company was nowhere to be seen, left no signs or cards. Be careful y'all.
They towed me the other day. I won't lie, besides them towing my car, I didnt really have any complaints. Surprisingly, they didnt steal anything and every other place took my change,CDs, chargers, they left everything and I'm really grateful for that. Other places take everything. If you have to get towed, they're the place you want
After towing my car, they stole my Air pods and expensive cologne. They probably needed more than me. I’ll let karma deal with whoever responsible for my missing items.
The lady at the window was so sweet and patient with me and very helpful. I'm afraid they need a better i tercom system for us older folks who have "CHS."?

Yard guy knew right where my car was and even lifted my car out for better access to my property (packing cars in so close for storage made it difficult to get in and out otherwise.) Very facilitative, patient receptionist, and same with yard attendant.
Beautiful place. Blame the towing company. These folks didn't take your car. Relax. You can get your money back if you were towed illegally. You will have to go to Justice of the Peace Court within 2 weeks of the tow or you've waived your claim and you have to pay a $54 filing fee.
True this place is messed up ,my son had an accident the tow truck took his car to the police station since it was close ,so my soon could say his testimony and after that his car was running hot so wouldnt crank and cop told him they had to tow it ,like wht is this cops and places like this helping each other and he got charged 323 bucks to gwt the car out the storage
It's really hard to rate this place honestly. It's a storage place. That's it. They were kind and wanted to help us. Yes, it was expensive, but it's a storage place. I'd rather pay the $300 than have my car be stolen. I was concerned because the reviews made me think they were going to steal from the car or damage it, but everything was were it was supposed to be. Again, it's a car storage place. Also! So long as you have proof that the car is yours (like it's in your name) they will accept credit cards.
Literally went into my vehicle while I was in the hospital and stole my personal belongings. Then acted as if their security was top notch knowing it’s bogus. Don’t trust and always file a police report with this company. Hold them accountable!
To start with, they told the insurance adjuster I had to go in person to sign paperwork to have my truck released. It couldn’t be done over the phone… So I drive the 30 minutes from my office to this place only for them to tell me I didn’t need to come. COOL! Then I notice the fuel cap had been completely ripped out and was gone. So I ask what happened and the lady said “we are not responsible, we have cameras”. She refused to let me speak with someone in charge or provide me a number to file a complaint, bunch of useless people working here as is expected
I bought coffee from the nook cafe, and I come out and my vehicle is gone. The staff is very unprofessional and rude as well. They are money seeking predators. The fee is extremely high. I was a customer when they towed my vehicle, and this is absolutely ridiculous
Becareful if you get caught in a storm, if you call 911, they will have a tow company come, and that company will force you to tow your car to this storage facility instead of your home. This storage facility and the tow companies make money off you and rip you off they will charge you 300 or more. The best option is call roadside assistance from your insurance company or AAA. I should have waited for my roadside assistance instead of calling 911 for help. These tow truck drivers don't care about helping people. Obviously, it's just business they make more to tow your vehicle to the storage facility.
Very kind and compassionate people. Had to go through my son in laws car to see what possessions were there for my daughter. Her husband had died in the car and she wanted anything that she might have as a reminder of her love for him.
The kindness of all of the good people who operated Lockwood Vehicle Storage was good for my soul. Thank you especially Michelle and her mom.
I appreciate everyone here especially the pretty lady in the front desk they took good care of me & my car it wasn’t the fault that my car had got towed. It was my apartments, but like I always say everyone has a job to do they did an amazing respectable way for the people that works at Lockwood vehicle storage off of Lockwood Houston, Texas I thank once again ??
I honestly don't know why there are so many bad reviews. I get it, no one wants their vehicle to be towed, but that's is not the fault of Lockwood. We had a totalled vehicles towed here and I was expecting a horrible experience based on the reviews, but they made this process quick and easy. The ladies were very helpful and nice. I've called multiple times and they answered every time. I'm very thankful for you guys.
What a slimy yet legal hustle, hey I’ll let God deal with y’all. Visiting my in-laws at their apartment complex only to come outside to see my vehicle gone! I thought someone stole it! I parked in a regular, anybody can park here, spot. Towed! You would think we’re living on the East Coast with how they operate. Ranger Tow (the tow company) stole my car and shipped it to the Lockwood Storage facility. I did not park under the garage spaces. But I got the phone number from the steel beam in that area though. Parasitic activity.
Mr. Jose at the location was very unprofessional, had his fist on his face while looking at me, so I had to curse him out. You get towed illegally/wrongfully, it doesn’t matter. Lockwood Storage wants and will get that $221 out you. You pay a high price and still see their address written on their establishment in a permanent marker. I told Jose, to use my money to buy a damn sign. Just a trashy place. Befitting to their operation. Oh, and they don’t accept American Express…but they accept Toyota’s, Audi’s, Mercedes, and Chevy’s.
The tow company’s at these apartments with Lockwood are in alignment with each other. In my opinion, a tow company can roll up in a complex and tow you at their discretion and send it to Lockwood, a quick $221. I remind you, this is East Houston, not New York, or a club downtown somewhere.
Looking at all of this…I see how folks can afford these high Astros tickets. Lockwood Storage is the setup.
HORRIBLE PLACE. Wish I could give them 0 stars. How can someone be so greedy. Charging almost $300 when they towed my car for no reason. Then they have the audacity to ask for cash only??? These people need to be shut down. They are so rude. Robbing people out their money, they must be really MISERABLE.
The women that work here are extremely rude no matter how professional you attempt to be with them. Be prepared to pay cash for everything!! And good luck if your vehicle alarm causes your vehicle to die…they will charge you $25 cash for them to give you a jump. They will not allow anyone else to assist you. They totally take advantage of the fact that you have to comply because you can’t get your vehicle if you don’t.
I was illegally towed of a shopping center, I tried to communicate several times with this place, of course the front desk is extremely rude people. I have full proof pictures, receipts that prove that i was consuming in the shopping center and not parked wrongfully, despite all of this is impossible to talk to them, these people just like money and even if they illegally take your car, and they know they did. there is no way they help in any way, even tough they literally steal your car. and to get your car out they make you pay $300 which is by the way illegal since they are over charging when your car is below 10,000 lb
If you get towed here you're in for an infuriating hour or two. The woman behind the counter was utterly useless, would barely talk, claimed their card reader was broken despite their sign saying they must have a working one at all times, and then refused to give my girlfriend her ID back when we were leaving to go find an ATM. This place is terrible at best and questionably open at worst, file a complaint with the better buisiness bureau on these people for the love of god. Getting a towed car back is already awful but these people actively make your life hell while doing it.
1 star is too much of a compliment! This place is horrible! They are beyond rude & disrespectful! After not accepting my paperwork, The iron drawer was slung open to hit me in my elbow. I was in a loaner vehicle, the Dealership sent someone here 4 times for them not to accept any of the paperwork, keep the car an additional day for the same person from the dealership to get it released. On top of charging me 75$ to tow it 3 feet outside the gate (parked in front of the gate). Also adding 50 because of sending a “letter out” . At this point even the dealership is saying how rude & unprofessional they are for a lack of language . I wouldn’t send my worst enemy to these scammers!
Pray your car does not get towed here. After getting car jacked a tow company that's contracted here brought my car here. So tow truck found it not the police. Came to location with police officer and sergeant, no matter what the request there was no option for discount etc. I had to get a locksmith because I had no keys with it, they wouldn't let locksmith in yard(actually argued at window). So I rescheduled locksmith until I could tow car out of lot. Called a couple days later and they told me at that point for 40 cash their yard guy would tow it outside. Anyway, end up costing my about 500 just to get car out of lot. Be prepared, push to get clear answers, and I hope you have a lot of patience!!
I wish I could give ZERO stars. I hardly ever give reviews, but this place is a joke. The man in the front was beyond unpleasant. I understand that this business/industry may be rough; but it doesn’t mean you can be rude to people. I don’t know how this company operates. If your car gets towed here beware & if you’re paying in cash you better hope it’s your lucky day & you have the EXACT cash. Ridiculous establishment and I can’t justify over $260 for a car being towed for < than 30 minutes. Horrible service.
My car was towed when someone else was driving it Saturday . I received the certified notice Tuesday so I called Wednesday the gentleman answers and stated my car had been released to someone. The car is under my name and my name only. I thought to be able to get your car back you needed it proof of ownership I’m guessing proof of insurance is enough to release a car to someone because according to the gentleman that’s what the person showed. Now I’m stuck trying to find the vehicle and locate who the hell has it. HPD has been informed of this situation
On Thanksgiving week, they took my car from the front of my apartment because I was park on top of the white line. I woke up in the morning to find my car was gone thinking that somebody stole it. They charge me for 5 hours $300.00 . Hope they are having a good Thanksgiving because I am not. We have to give them the money that I have for Thanksgiving dinner. God bless you in this day.
I didn't get my vehicle towed but I called to ask a couple questions before I brought my relative to pick up her car. The person who answered the phone was professional for about 15 seconds before he was rude and condesending. He ended up hanging up on me as I thanked for whatever information I could get from him...it seems they hate their job.....maybe get a better one?
The attendant here was genuinely wretched and miserable. Having my vehicle towed was stressful enough, but then to have absolutely no help at the vehicle storage location was just the cherry on top. The attendant kept repeating the same three things over and over, and if I asked a question or needed clarification he would just repeat what he had said previously and offer no further assistance. I genuinely felt as though this person was actively trying to prevent me from getting my car. It felt like a scam.
