Bad help the guy in the phone just repeated the address and wasn’t helpful at all… if u come here I guess you got lucky finding it… but bad customer service from the person answering the phone… know where you working and where exactly it’s located… repeat the address all you want that doesn’t help and neither did you… you suck

The whole team here at GESSNER SCRAP METAL were friendly and professional, with nothing but positive vibes!Every hand I shook was willing to go the extra mile to help me out - AND it was my first time here, at almost closing time on a Friday! And Prices: WELL ABOVE MARKET AVERAGE I’ve been to a dozen yards around Houston this year alone, mostly the big guys that can pay higher due to sheer volume. GESSNER BEAT EVERY SINGLE LINE ITEM!! and with no fuss, no haggle - I barely even hit out of my truck! ***Friendly. Trustworthy. Efficient.*** That’s my GESSNER SCRAP!! I will absolutely be returning next month, and every month from here on out. And you should too!

The 5 Star rating only because Alfredo manages the place. He is one of the friendliest people on the planet. If you have never turned in your scrap for cash because you don't know the process & you're worried you'll do something wrong & embarass yourself, then trust me, this is your place. Now, one of the things I'd normally deduct a star for is the way you approach the unloading area. They should have everyone enter off Gessner & drive one way through the building & exit on Porto Rico, but they don't. You're suppose to back into the loading area when it's you're turn or sometimes I'll park where there's room and carry my stuff the extra few feet and wait until it's my turn. It's best if you pre-sort as best as you can. You'll need a magnet. But don't worry. Alfredo will help you sort and give you tips for the next time you come. And my favorite part, if you see something you like, a ladder, some rims, a lawnmower etc. Ask Alfredo if it's for sale and he will charge you just a little more that what price they would receive when they turn in their metal for scrap at C&D. So a $200 ladder may only cost $20. So whatever money I make, I usually spend right there.

The person on the phone didn't speak English and he was very rude. Go anywhere else

Honest and fair. I rarely sell scrap metal due to lack of honesty at scrap yards. Its different at this scrap yard though, they do good business.

Do not recommend! As I got there I was Ignored until one of the guys working told another that was just standing there to help me. I expected Him to come to me but he just raised his hands like what . When he finally came over I asked for prices he didn’t know so he asked someone else. That guy just told me they had to get a pallet but I said wait what are the prices? He gave me super low prices so I decided to leave . And It looked to me that they weren’t even gonna separate the material.

These “nice people” buy stolen items from thieves and then hang up on you and block your number when you call to ask about it. Karma is coming.

They paid very poorly compared to other scrap yards. They did not categorized what i brought them correctly, and they did not greet us when we got there. We had to walk up to them so that they could acknowledge us.

Super friendly business. Best prices around for my scrap materials. Very convenient unloading, no need driving deep into business and getting stuck or damaging tires. Staff will help unload materials.

This is friendly place, awesome service and fare prices on scrape metal. I highly recommend this place.

Place is clearly geared towards buying, rather than selling, but if they have what you need, you can get it cheaply. Staff were friendly. Mostly construction scrap. Knowing Spanish is useful.

Nice and friendly service. The guy inside helped out with carrying the bags full of aluminum cans from my car to the scale.

Very easy for a consumer to use this scrapyard! No scary driving into a pit and getting stuck. Was sooo happy to find a place to take our old metal auto parts. PLEASE Consider recycling instead of throwing in the trash bin or dumpster. Paid me CASH! He even helped me back out of the driveway! Awesome service!

Nice people here. Be it cans or an old appliance, they do a good job handling whatever you leave them.
