First time visiting and it was a good experience. Mia's customer service was welcoming, she also gave me knowledge and information that was needed. When ever I have something I'll be going to this location.
Very well organized, the guys showed me where I could easily unload. Polite and courteous every step and the lady in the cashiers box was sweet with great manners. Definitely worth repeat visits.
This is Mr Simon and the services the company has to offer is amazing and I would refer anyone to go there the customer service worker at the window Sherlyn is awesome and the coworkers they are very helpful and they keep the area clean at all times and they keep everyone happy and also provide water they are the best in the company
Took my grandpa to this yard to take his metals. The yard was much cleaner than other yards we have been to. The lady at the window Sherlyn was super nice and friendly! We will definitely go back here at C&D Almeda location.
Yard was clean. The lady at the window (Cheryln ? Spelling) was very nice, friendly, and helpful. I definitely will be sending my husband and his cousins back up there. Thank you for helping us chic!!

BE SURE TO TAKE PIX OF UR SCRAP ON A SCALE BEFOREHAND.! You're going to need it
These ppl will take full advantage of the whole scrapping process to your detriment. If there was some recourse action I could have taken I would have but this place puts ur money on the table on their word alone. Then it's up for grabs obviously. I should have asked for the cameras but the $40 didn't seem worth it because i couldn't identify someone with that paygrade available to inform. This employee could also chalk it up and say he was mistaken. But if it was a mistake on his part there's literally no way for anyone to know unless u take a picture folks!!
Either there on the scale which is unlikely to happen because the numbers are hard to see and they do it so quickly. You would have to force them to let u take the pic.
So have a luggage scale and have pics in front of the man weighing it prior to his handling. If there was any discrepancy I could at least demand my scrap back from a visual image taken right in front of everybody.
Overall I am. Extremely disappointed. I was under the impression C&D was a stand up scrap yard but apparently something must have happened to the original owner. This place weighed my scrap and told the lady at the window the wrong weight and basically ripped me off for over half my return value. I had at least 25-30 solid pounds and the dude told her 7lbs!! Seven!?
That's just bad business. Plain and simple. Mistaken or intentional theres a major flaw in the process.
So if what he says determines what you get paid, His word is to your deficit. Or his intelligence is at a deficit and you have to pay the price for his lack of basic communication and math skill. Really there is no math involved. Other than reading a scale which you only need 20/20 vision and a pad and pencil if need be. So that's a pretty simple solution. How about you ppl at C&D write it down on a little piece of paper so no verbal communication is necessary and I have my proof of what I brought to the yard? Sounds like an easy solution to me!!
By the time we got the fingerprint and picture taken for the ID card, several people had passed thru the line weighing scrap so there was no real way for me to prove my weight.
Plus the guy weighing the scrap didn't speak english. How can I communicate with someone who can pretend to not know a word I speak?
That's bad business. All the way around negative experience. I will never sell here again. I'm surprised there aren't more bad reviews about this raggedy junkyard. Just because u work and deal with trash don't mean u treat your patrons like criminals.
It takes a special kind of spite to screw over people who are more than likely working hard to collect and transport these particular goods. Everyone can do it, but most ppl don't. So ppl who scrap are often putting in a lot of effort and willing to get their hands dirty to provide a necessary service by recycling. Doing what other ppl aren't willing to do.
Taking money from ppl in these hard times is a shame and it's a direct result from the lack of accountability that they try to shift onto the patron by making them focus on ur fingerprints and takin ur picture like ur getting booked into jail. Low level career criminals playing charades like ur a criminal and they're trustworthy. These ppl are busted and disgusted. Never selling scrap here again.
Only thing good is how much they pay. Service is trash . They don’t even follow their own company values. From the time you enter till when you leave the workers will stand around , watching you unless they are forced to help. Also no one want to see your workers scratching their privates and behinds while working . I definitely would recommend going to the smaller company with the barrel in front . Wayyy better costumer service with the same prices .
