This rating is based on customer reviews, inventory size, pricing, and service quality
Based on recent feedback, Yards & Parts Inc in Houston, TX earns 82/100: generally positive but inconsistent. Many customers report helpful staff and fair pricing, quick sourcing of engines/transmissions, smooth installs, and occasionally fast shipping. Strengths include inventory reach, value, and polite service. However, several 1-star reports cite delayed shipments, defective units, denied warranty help, and serious complaints about non-delivery/refunds and poor communication. Wait times range from quick to month-long. Yard organization isn’t clear. Consider confirming timelines and return terms before buying.

Scam Complaint Against Yards And Parts, Inc.:
Business Name: Yards And Parts, Inc.
Business Owner: CEO
Kiran Iqbal
Product: Used/Donor Engine – 2015 Nissan 370Z (VQ37VHR)
Amount Paid: $2,450.00
Payment Method: Wire Transfer (Bank of America)
Date Paid: January 30, 2026
Complaint Summary:
I purchased a donor engine from Yards And Parts, Inc. Back on January 30, 2026, for $2,450. The engine was intended for a 2015 Nissan 370Z.
The company delayed shipment for approximately one month. Upon delivery to Orange Coast Infiniti, Westminster, CA my dealership, the engine was inspected and determined to be defective and not installable.
The dealership documented:
- Cylinder #5 spark plug is stripped and cannot be removed
- Compression test could not be performed
- Excessive carbon buildup inside cylinders
- Technician advised the engine should NOT be installed
The engine was returned to the vendor immediately.and I requested a full refund.
As of today, May 2, 2026 approximately 4 months after they have took my money, the company has failed to provide either a replacement or a refund. Communication has been minimal and unproductive, and the company appears to be delaying resolution.
This situation has caused hardship for my customer , as my dealership Orange Coast Infiniti,Westminster, CA has extended a loaner vehicle beyond their normal courtesy period due to this delay.
Desired Resolution:
1. Full refund of $2,450.00 immediately, credited back to my Bank America account
Additional Notes:
Reason for complete refund:
The product delivered was not as described and was not fit for its intended purpose. I have acted in good faith and allowed reasonable time for resolution.
I am requesting prompt intervention to resolve this matter.

i ordered a motor Jan of 2026. the first motor, my tech didn't want to install. so we returned it. it's been over a month and still no motor. can't get anyone to reply. email or phone calls do not work.....live and learn i guess
My company and I paid $10,000. back in January for a engine for our work truck. After months of them promising to send us the engine we purchased we still have no engine. We are being forced to filecharges for theft. You can not take a persons money and not send them whst they purchased from your company. Good luck contacting them once thet have your money.
Good motor , Quality services I like rose , she is very professional and gave me good price . Motor delivered on time . Try to commitments Highly recommended
One thing is for sure I am coming back to them if I ever need help with my vehicle again cuz the service was nothing less than phenomenal and at the price offered it was amazing. If I was you and I need something for my car, without a doubt in my mind, they will be my first choice.
We bought an engine that was supposed to have 48k miles. Got an engine that had 1 head done, had jumped time, had 4 bent valves, had to get the engine rebuilt and heads done, and obviously more miles on it. Engine was supposed to have a 3 or warranty. They would not do anything about this. Our mechanic even sent them videos of the problems. This place is a scam. Do not buy from them! They never tell the truth.
They offer their products and services in a professional and timely manner. Customer service is absolutely top notch. You will not be disappointed. Highly recommended!
Rose found the engine I needed then double checked the details and it was delivered to my door quickly. Engine ran perfect as promised. I will be using Roses service in the future.
Was updated on anything that happened with shipping made it to me quick and better pricing with quality compared to others and rose was a great help on the phone
Absolutely satisfied with my purchase! The used engine I bought was in excellent condition, clean, and ran smoothly once installed. The price was very fair, and the team made the process simple and stress-free. Fast shipping and great customer service highly recommend them if you’re looking for a reliable used engine
