After having my car diagnosed by another car repair company who provided me a 5-figure estimate to repair my vehicle, I decided to contact Silvio's Autohouse for a second opinion. I ended up speaking to Gary, who after I explained my issues and asked him what he thought the problem could be, mentioned what he thought it could be but said the only way to confirm what he suspected would be to have a diagnostic completed. I had the diagnostic done and what he suspected was correct. I did not disclose to Silvio's that I had another diagnostic done and had been provided with another quote. The quote provided to me by Silvio's was A FOURTH of the cost of the other car repair company. Gary and Jason answered all my questions, repaired my vehicle in a timely manner and at a far less cost. Yes, the repairs were still expensive, but I appreciate them thoroughly explaining to me what my vehicle's issues were and their honesty.

My mom took her 1981 BMW there for over 20 years thanks to Sylvio. I never met him but I heard he was ripped and totally hot maybe thats why she brought her car there.

I’ve been coming to Silvio’s since 2015 and they have taken great care of my cars. They always given me great service at great prices, starting with Silvio, then Rolf, and now Jason. I would take my cars anywhere else. They do it right the first time, and if something is still wrong they make it right.

If you are looking for a high performing auto repair shop for your Mercedes, BMW, Audi, Mini Cooper or Volkswagen vehicle, Silvio's Autohouse is the place to go. They are very efficient and deliver your repaired vehicle back to you as promised. They call to discuss the vehicle's issue with resolution and associated cost....no surprises. Glad I found I found Silvio's.

Brought my car in for repair for an oil leak in the engine and it was repaired successfully no problems. Lights came back on after one week of driving and they found another issue not relating to first one and had to pay again to get it fixed. Drove fine for a week and a half and started leaking once again brought it back now they are saying that the leak is coming from another part of car! I had to pay for that get repaired as well! Avoid this shop at all cost!! They charge for every visit and failed to inspect all the repairs that were needed to be done in the first place!

Pro: I was given a loaner! And it was a quicker turn around compared to other shops. Con: Repair cost was on the high end relative to other shops. They also didn't do a thorough job after spending so much. Biggest let down was that after changing all the front control arms and links at this shop ($3300 plus cost) I started hearing a weird noise from the undercarriage (which got progressively worse) and eventually started sounding like the issue that brought me there in the first place. I started to hear this noise a week after I got my car from the shop( repair was 11/31) I called the shop second week after ( busy schedule and waited to make sure I was actually hearing something and not being preemptive). I got scheduled to bring the car in the next week after I called (12/20). Jason the owner (short heavy-set guy) tried to question me about my timing. He said I was bringing it a "month" later (incorrect, given that I called in two weeks, and the shop scheduled me the next week and wouldn't even see me immediately) - even still, not up to 3 weeks. After I visibly got agitated and explained my position to him (sad I had to that), he said I was being "defensive" . Long story short they looked over my car and found out that their technician didn't bolt an important nut properly and so it loosened up as I drove it hence the car was back acting the same way as before the repair. After seeing it was their own fault, Jason couldn't look me in the eye and even apologize. I really think the manager(forget his name) should be the person interacting with clients instead of Jason. If you have to take your car to them. Please be very WARY!! UPDATE: my control arm is back broken as it was before I brought it in. $3300 plus down the drain!!!

Took my mini cooper twice in less than 4 months and still have my check engine light on and was told to bring it back in AGAIN. Let me guess it’s something else ..I don’t understand why the problem is not fixed and it’s not cheap to pay over $1500 in repairs. Now my husband took his Jeep and well guess what check engine light on less than 24 hours after picking it up and told it was fixed and paid $1600 in repairs.. Jason said bring it back and guess what oh new issues with his car and why wasn’t this told the first visit. I’m so done with this place we both paid over &3k to still have our vehicles not fixed. They don’t even deserve one ?!!

I visited Silvio’s auto repair for my Alfa Romeo Stelvio for an oil change and replacement of my wipers. This is my second visit and they are very professional and on time. They always have great coffee so if you are like me that I’m rushing out of my house in the am, I can get my fix and my car fix at the same time. The guy that took care of me Jasón really explain the process and even gave me a little history on the ship. Kool guy. If you are in H-town and need a place to get you luxury car fix- I really recommend going here. Ask for Jason.

Trying to find a new Auto body/mechanic is never easy. Due to some good reviews and proximity to where I live I picked Silvios. Went in due to oil leak from under the engine. Also, needed any suggested tune up work for 80,000 miles. Spoke with Jason who didn’t try to upsell me at all. Found and took care of oil leak problem, topped off all necessary fluids, made me aware of wheel alignment that was causing my tires to wear unevenly, as well as a few other odds and ends. Price was fair for all the work that was done. Immediately noticed difference in how my car drove. This is my new auto repair spot. Very happy.

I’ve been taking cars here since 2001, starting with a Ford Focus. Silvio was a great owner and manager. Straightforward, honest and provided guidance on what was needed to be done. Ralph, who worked alongside, Silvio now runs the place and maintains this approach and recognizes that’s how to keep customers. They have technicians who worked at German car dealerships and the technical equipment needed nowadays to service new German vehicles. They’ve worked on my Audi S4 and SQ5, two Porsche 911s and my BMW M5. They are not the cheapest but they’re cheaper and better than the dealerships in my experience.

Such a disappointment! If you are reading positive reviews be sure and check the date of those reviews - those reviews are most likely when this mechanic was under the ownership and operation of Silvio. Now it is under the operation of someone named Ralph. His approach to customers is HORRIBLE, I mean HORRIBLE customer service skills! We only went to him because our primary BMW mechanic was backed-up (Orion's - his reputation supersedes him!) and thought the reviews for Silvio provided us good info to have our auto serviced at Silvio's. NEVER AGAIN!!

We've been taking our cars to Silvio and Ralf for the 18 years we've lived nearby. ALWAYS the best service, with never any doubts or concerns. Super efficient, friendly, dependable and honest. Could have written this review after every one of our previous visits, but I'm even more inspired to write this one today following the over-the-top impressive response I got from Ralf concerning some warranty work. Take your car here and you will be a happy, return customer.

I had a used engine put in my 2008 BMW 750 in February 2017. It immediately had an oil leak. I brought it back 6 months later for the oil change and was told it was out of warranty and would be $2000 to repair. On a used engine, the gaskets should have been replaced before they put the engine into the car. Those are very cheap parts and frequent points of failure in this car. I asked for a discount, since I knew it was a lot of labor to fix this problem, and wasn't offered any. I poured oil into the car every 750 miles. In September of 2018, I brought the car to Orion auto repair in the heights and they did the job for $1250! I had been going to Silvio for years, and he was always honest (hence the 3 stars instead of 1 in this review), but the quality of work was sometimes lacking and charging full price for negligence on their part was ridiculous.

Dropped off my VW to see if they could disable the Hill Hold feature on it. They investigated it and determined it's a safety feature that can't be disabled. Went to pick up my car expecting to pay for an hour or two of labor charges. Instead Ralph gave me my keys and said I don't owe them anything. Pretty refreshing not to be squeezed for a couple hundred bucks by an auto shop. Clean, professional setting. Polite and knowledgeable techs. This was my first visit to Silvio's but definitely not my last.

I cannot stress the need for more auto repair shops like this one! The staff --- professional, extremely knowledgeable and HONEST! The prices --- unmatchable. The service --- expedient and outstanding! I am on the road allot for business and needed to find a reputable auto repair shop in the Houston area. Silvio’s Autohouse far EXCEEDs my expectations. I appreciate all the education that you have given me and the maintenance you have provided for my car. Thank you and keep up the great work.

I took my vehicle here for a transmission flush and the turn around time was great. They did it correctly as how it should be done. Other local shops charged more and refused to remove the TC bolt to completely remove the old fluid. Ralph is a awesome!!! I recommend making an appointment because they are busy and I can see why.

Well, I have called others, not gotten a call back them, ate at Harry's 5 stars quality and service diner, stared at Silvio's Store front, then took a walk over to get to know who is who and what it is about. I must say, I am impressed with their price, cost, labor, poker face honesty and speedy service. They had my 87' 560SL done in a day... I will tell a few friends...

I scheduled an oil change, a week ahead of time, with that Audi dealership on 59 and Shepherd. They kept me busy for 30 minutes as I turned down new tires, new wipers, new hood shock, and selling my car to them. Finally, because of "safety issues" they refused to change my oil if I did not agree to buy the hood shock. Really? Your Audi mechancs are so inept that they can't manage to safely prop up the hood on my car and change the oil? Never again, never, will I return to that place for "service" or to purchase my next Audi, an S7. By contrast, I called Silvio as I was leaving the dealership. Silvio got me in 15 minutes later with no prior appointment, he saved me sixty bucks on the oil change, and gave me some suggestions (on my way out) about things my car will need in the coming months. Yes, the hood shock is in need of replacement. But, I was not required to buy one in order for my oil to be changed. Somehow Silvio's guys managed to change the oil (without being injured,) top off the liquids, and air blow my engine compartment clean. Silvio is fair, fast, and not a salesman. Skip the dealership hassles and support a local business with integrity. H-Town needs more Silvios and less salesmen posing as service advisers.

Had my 75,000 mile checkup for my Audi and changed out my headlight bulb here for $300 cheaper than what the dealership would have charged. Silvio is always extremely honest & genuine, reliable, and cheaper than dealing with the dealership. Call ahead and make a reservation far in advance, because they get lots of business!

Best BMW/ European auto repair shop in Houston without a doubt. I don't know about you, but when I need a car repair I don't care about a car wash, free wifi, free breakfast, or a bottle of wine. I want the repair done correctly and done right the first time. Been a customer for years through numerous cars. Silvio has always been honest and always been fair with his prices. His 2nd in Command, Ralph, is extremely knowledgeable as well. Tip: call and make a service appointment ahead of time.

I had very little hope for my car when I had it towed to Silvio's and didn't feel much better after Silvio called me and said he was afraid to look at my car because it sounded like a diesel. The next day I got the best phone call from Silvio saying that one of the things wrong with my car was covered by BMW. Turns out that the bolts on the vanos broke and these bolts were covered by an extended warranty as well as the repairs related to the vanos. Thankfully Silvio was aware of this and worked with his contacts at the dealership. Silvio completed the remaining work to fix the other items wrong with my car. I picked up my car today and it is running better than ever. I just wish I had known about Silvio and Ralph before now. As long as I have my car, I will be a customer!

I've had several Mercedes over the last ten years and have been taking them to Silvio's for most of that time. They are simply the best. Honest, fair and reasonably priced. My wife just got a BMW and she has become a customer as well. As long as we are driving German cars, we'll never go anywhere else. If you are a new customer, you should know up front that you will be expected to stop in and make an appointment for a future date. The shop is quite busy every day, and there is a very good reason for that....

I've been taking my Audi here for the last 3+ years for regular service and general issues. Silvio himself is very knowledgeable about European cars as are his staff. They tell you what needs to be done AND what doesn't have to be done. They save you time and money and do a great job on the car.

Absolutely great. I was referred to him by a fellow BMW enthusiast. I was so impressed. Very honest and great work. He loves what he does. Only shop I will trust my car with. Highly recommended.

Silvio and his entire family are honest to a fault. Whenever I have minor work to be done (like replacing a bulb) they do it for free or for just the cost of the part. When I have major work, they do it for a competitive price and they do it both quickly and well. This is the best place by far for my Smart car!
