UPDATE: Supervisor and Sebastian reached out, so there is absolutely no way theres no record of my business. They were meant to call this Monday (nearly 5 weeks after dropping car off for second repairs) and missed their own scheduled call to address the situation at hand.
I would strongly caution anyone considering Erik’s Car Care.
I brought my car in for recalibration and sensor replacement and paid over $2,000 for the work. When I picked it up, I was told the vehicle was safe to drive. The only recommendation I received was that my brakes would need to be replaced soon.
When my friend Oscar dropped the car off, I asked him to have the shop double-check a bolt that had previously been worked on by another tire shop because that repair had taken an unusually long time. He was simply doing me a favor by dropping the car off and was never handling the repair or acting on my behalf.
Within a week of picking up my vehicle, it began making new clunking noises that had never existed before. I brought it back immediately because I was concerned something wasn’t right after the repairs.
Since then, this experience has turned into a complete nightmare. My car has now been at the shop for weeks. I have been told there is more than $4,000 in additional repairs needed, including stripped bolts, yet I’ve been repeatedly told none of it is related to the work they performed.
Despite having my vehicle for weeks, I have never received an updated written estimate explaining these additional repairs. Instead, communication has been inconsistent and incredibly frustrating. They frequently call without leaving a voicemail and later claim they communicated with me, even though most of our conversations have taken place through text. They also continued contacting Oscar, despite him explaining that he was only helping me drop off the vehicle and asking them to communicate directly with me.
One of the main reasons I chose Erik’s Car Care—and agreed to pay over $2,000 for these repairs—was because they were very clear that they stand behind their work with a warranty. I expected that if an issue arose immediately after the repair, they would carefully investigate it and stand behind the work if it was related. Instead, I was told I needed thousands of dollars in additional repairs while simultaneously being told none of it was their responsibility. That is not the level of accountability or customer service I believed I was paying for.
At this point, I still don’t have a written estimate, I still don’t have a clear explanation of how they determined the new damage wasn’t related to the work they performed, my car is no longer drivable, and it has been sitting at their shop for weeks without a meaningful resolution.
Whether the additional damage ultimately resulted from their work or not, the lack of transparency, documentation, communication, and accountability has been unacceptable. I trusted them with my vehicle because of their reputation and the warranty they emphasized. Instead, I’ve been left without my car, without answers, and facing thousands of dollars in additional repairs. This has been one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve ever had, and I cannot recommend Erik’s Car Care based on how this situation has been handled.
The staff at this location are amazing! Sam is really kind and fully explains any problems. Video and photo evidence are provided for diagnostics. I would definitely recommend.
I had a very disappointing experience with Eric’s Car Care. I took my 2011 Mini Countryman in because I was having transmission issues. After diagnosing my vehicle, I was told that the entire transmission needed to be replaced with a brand-new unit. I was quoted between $15,000 and $20,000 and was even told that my car wasn’t worth repairing. Thankfully, I decided to get a second opinion. I took my vehicle to Bemer Plus, where they diagnosed the issue, repaired it for $4,700, and my Mini has been running perfectly ever since. Based on my experience, I strongly encourage anyone facing a major repair to get a second opinion before committing to expensive work. Being told my only option was a $15,000–$20,000 replacement, when another qualified shop was able to fix the problem for a fraction of the cost, was extremely frustrating and could have caused me to give up on a car that was absolutely repairable. I can’t speak to everyone else’s experience, but based on mine, I left feeling that the diagnosis and recommendation did not reflect the most reasonable repair option for my vehicle.
I paid over $500 for a repair here, but I was also told I needed additional work that would cost much more. After getting a second opinion from a mechanic family member, the same repair was done for a fraction of the price. I recommend getting a second opinion before agreeing to extra repairs. My experience left me feeling like I was being charged far more than necessary.
The customer service at Eric’s Car Care is truly exceptional. On our way to the hospital, my mother’s car was having AC issues and we needed to find a solution quickly as she was headed back to Dallas that same night. When we explained the situation to Sebastian who works there, he was incredibly accommodating and even went so far as to call us an UBER so we could still spend as much time as possible visiting my baby at the hospital while the car was getting serviced and repaired.
In this wild world of ours, it’s refreshing to do business with such kind and understanding folks. Highly recommend coming here for your car needs as they will treat you the way you would want to be treated.
Excellent experience..and honest! My husband already knew what our Rav4 needed, but sent me in alone to see what Erics would come back with. 100% accurate!! "Suggested" a few other things, but never pressured me...for they were minor. "Just to keep in the back of your head". Sam was fantastic. He really took the time to explain everything in detail, which I relayed back to my husband. As a woman, I feel safe and confident that we have a "go-to" shop now. No wonder they're busy! At least 3 people suggested them to me since moving here. Great job, guys!

This is my second visit getting an oil change from this company and the customer service has always been very helpful and amazing at what they do. Sebastian helped me tremendously with explaining what was wrong my vehicle and was very patient. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a reliable car care.
Everyone at Eric's that I had contact with was friendly and accommodating. Sebastian the service adviser was the best of all. His customer service skills are second to know. There were no surprises. This place is a scam. Don’t trust these people. Bought a car a few months ago, Carfax told me major front-end work was done here. I came because was having some noise driving. They took $125 for absolutely nothing. Told me I have to replace the CV axle and stabilizer links AGAIN after they had replaced them twice in the past 2 years. When I asked “What is causing the fact that I have to replace these same parts again?” They said “we don’t know.” What the hell did I pay $125 for then?? They want you to come back as a SUBSCRIPTION SERVICE to them! Quoted me more than 2k. Said no warranty on past parts or work, as owner had changed. So you want me to replace the CV axle that you had previously worked on TWICE in the past 2 years AGAIN? For the third time? CV axles last 100k+ miles not 10k. They don’t want to find the actual issue, they want you to keep replacing the same parts yearly. Scammers. The audacity these people have. Overheard they charged nearly 500$ to change an older woman’s battery and windshield wipers. RUN, DONT WALK AWAY!

This experience also raised concerns about how customers who may not be familiar with car repairs are treated. The lack of clear explanations, documentation, and upfront approval creates a situation where it’s very easy for someone to feel pressured into agreeing to work they don’t fully understand. Transparency and communication should be standard, especially when customers are relying on your expertise to make informed decisions.

VERY disappointed with how sisters car was handled. She brought it in expecting a ~$280 diagnostic, but it quickly escalated into a $2,800 repair with little to NO clear communication.
NO clear explanation, itemized estimate, or written quote provided.
The NEXT morning, she was told the repairs were already almost complete—even though she never clearly authorized that amount of work. When she raised concerns, the situation was shifted back onto her rather than taking accountability.
At NO point was there transparency about what was necessary or what she was agreeing to. She was NOT given the opportunity to make an informed decision before major repairs were performed.
I STRONGLY recommend getting everything in writing and explicitly confirming approval before any work is done.
TERRIBLE quality of work done and POOR customer service.
The service advisor, Sam, was NOT helpful throughout this process. Communication was vague, and instead of clearly explaining the issues or walking me through my options, it felt like ASSUMPTIONS were being made that I had already agreed to move forward with all recommended services.
Another major concern was the LABOR COST ALONE, which totaled around $1,200. This felt excessive given the lack of a clear breakdown of hours or explanation of what work was actually performed. Without transparency on how that labor was calculated, it’s difficult to justify such a high charge, especially when I was never given the opportunity to review or approve the scope of work beforehand.
EXTREMELY FRUSTRATED with how this shop handled my car. I originally brought it in expecting to pay around $280 for a diagnostic, which I was completely fine with. Instead, the situation escalated into a $2,800 repair with little to NO clear communication.
I spent the entire day calling Sam for updates and kept getting vague, unhelpful responses. It wasn’t until 5pm—before closing—that I finally got a call saying they had “found” additional issues and “urgent” matters. NO clear explanation, NO itemized breakdown, and NO written quote was ever sent after that call.
I also want to mention that Sam was not helpful throughout this process. Communication was vague, and instead of clearly explaining the issues and confirming what I wanted to move forward with, it felt like assumptions were made that I had agreed to the services.
The next morning, I called again and was told they were already almost finished with the repairs—even though I NEVER clearly authorized that amount of work. At NO point was there transparency about what was actually necessary, what was urgent, or what I was agreeing to.
This felt like a complete LACK of communication and professionalism. I was NOT kept informed, NOT given documentation, and NOT given the opportunity to make an informed decision before major and expensive work was performed.
Once my car was returned, I found parts that were loose with soot and dirt all over my car seat and door. TERRIBLE QUALITY OF WORK DONE.
I would strongly advise others to be cautious. Get everything in writing, ask for a full itemized estimate, and make sure you explicitly approve the work—because that did not happen in my case.
Would give these dude zero stars ! Held my car for 2 days and did nothing ! All I was getting was a diagnosis! Spent money on Ubers with zero results. Overbooking issues don’t go to any Eric car care EVER. Pathetic establishment truly
They are quick and informative and have great communication from start to finish. On top of that, they are some of the nicest people I’ve ever worked with. They have made every experience easy and stress-free. Highly recommend!
My car had a no crank no start a week before my wedding. They were very timely and communicative about issues! Not only did they keep me in the loop every step of the way, they also gave us a wedding gift discount because they’re were so nice!
I had a very frustrating and concerning experience with this shop. My vehicle was there from February 23rd for repairs that were originally quoted around $2,700. After weeks of delays and multiple promises that my car would be ready “tomorrow,” I ended up being charged over $4,300.
Communication was extremely inconsistent. I was told different things at different times, including that certain repairs were completed when they actually were not.
The most concerning part is that I picked up my vehicle and immediately noticed serious safety issues that were not present before: • Brake lights not working • Gear shifter stuck in park unless using the override • Horn not working • Check engine light still on
These are basic safety functions, and I have a child, so this is unacceptable. After spending thousands of dollars, I expected my car to be safe and fully functional. On top of that the lady at the counter cannot count money kept trying to tell me I’m short because she don’t know how to count bills ! I cannot recommend this shop based on my experience. Please be cautious and make sure you get clear, consistent information before agreeing to any repairs.
I always hate taking my car in because you never know how long it will take or what they will find, but the team here was great! Blake especially was helpful and walked me through everything and made recommendations about what was needed immediately and what we could tackle another day. Friendly service and honest work - I will be coming back!
I brought my 2018 Volvo S90 to Eric’s Car Care for an A/C diagnostic because the air was blowing hot. I had a scheduled appointment and dropped my car off around 7:00–7:30 a.m. on Friday, yet I didn’t get my vehicle back until Monday. I also never received an update call—I had to call them myself. While delays can happen, my real concern is the accuracy and honesty of the information I was given.
After their inspection, I was told my vehicle needed a new A/C compressor, condenser, and expansion valve, bringing the total repair cost to $6,411.07, including labor. That is a major expense, so I declined the service and sought a second opinion.
I then took my car to Alpine Motor Works, where they identified the actual issue: a leaking Freon valve. They replaced the valve and recharged the A/C system, fully resolving the problem for $205.65 total.
There is no reasonable explanation for being told I needed over $6,000 in repairs when the real issue was a minor leak. This feels extremely misleading and unprofessional. I was even encouraged to finance the repair and pay off the balance within 90 days, which now feels even more concerning given how unnecessary those repairs turned out to be.
Being given such drastically incorrect information after a diagnostic is unacceptable. Customers rely on shops to provide honest assessments, not inflated repair recommendations.
I will not be returning, and I strongly encourage others to seek a second opinion before committing to major repairs here.
Eric's has been proven to be trustworthy. The staff and service were both good. During a diagnostic on my vehicle I was informed that work done at another shop wasn't correctly done and I should take my car back to the previous mechanic. I did and the work was re-done. Thank you Eric!
I went in the shop preparing for a long wait, but was pleasantly surprised to be seen right away. By now the second stresser had kicked in, what was it going to cost? That worry was also not a worry at all when I was told the price. Good there to. The staff was also pleasant and courteous. I will definitely be back , but in the future from the beginning there will be no worries. Great job!
I stopped by 30 minutes before they closed hoping to get my headlight fixed but prepared to be asked to come back the next day. Not only did they fix my headlight but they also put air in my tires and fixed my license plate light in less than 15 minutes. Incredibly kind and efficient service.
I never give 5 stars; however, my experience was wonderful. They fit me in quickly. Blake and Sam were very welcoming. When I explained about the problems I encountered at the dealership during my last service, they understood completely and went over in detail what their technicians found. The dealership said my vehicle needed about $5K worth of work. Eric's Car Repair only found one item costing me about $1,000 (much closer to other quotes I saw). This place is professional and customer oriented. Thanks to all.
I brought my 2017 Ford Explorer in to have the sway bar links removed and replaced, and the car came out riding great. I’m not sure but to me difference was noticeable right away smoother drive and no more issues. Although I feel like the labor can be overpriced but work is always great.
Everyone there was friendly and professional from start to finish. They took the time to answer all my questions without rushing me, which I really appreciated. The staff was patient, clear, and made sure I understood what was being done.
Overall, it was a good experience, and I’d feel comfortable bringing my vehicle back for future service.
I had one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had with an auto repair shop at Erick’s Car Care. They kept my car the entire day and did absolutely nothing, despite me clearly explaining that I needed the car for a long trip the very next day. That urgency was communicated upfront.
They quoted $125 just to “have a look” and diagnose the issue. I clearly told them I would pay once I got the car back, which they agreed to. However, even without charging me, they still failed to inspect the vehicle, provide any diagnosis, or make any progress at all.
During the first interaction, they appeared polite and professional, which gave me confidence. Unfortunately, once they had my car, the attitude changed completely. Communication dropped off, responsibility disappeared, and the service became unacceptable.
By the end of the day, I was left with wasted time, no answers, and unnecessary stress right before a long planned trip. If they were unable or unwilling to work on the car, they should have been upfront instead of holding my vehicle all day. I even called them on phone twice to make sure the repair is happening
This shop shows a lack of professionalism, transparency, and respect for customers’ time. A good first impression means nothing when the follow-through is this poor. I would strongly advise others to avoid Erick’s Car Care, especially if you are on a tight schedule or need dependable service.
Hayden and Ivan were literally incredible! From the moment I walked in, they were thorough, knowledgeable, and so patient with me. They took the time to explain everything about my vehicle without rushing or brushing me off you can tell they truly know their stuff. What really blew me away is that they offered me a free diagnostic test, something most automotive places charge for just to tell you nothing. But not here they were transparent, honest, and genuinely helpful. You don’t see that often! I would 100% recommend this dealership and especially Hayden and Ivan. Their customer service, professionalism, and good energy made the entire experience top tier. They were AWESOME!
