i was towed & came to retieve my vehicle this morning, the lady at the window informed me due to the car being in my moms name, i could not retrieve (my mom lives in dallas) difficult situation, but it is what it is, so i start to cry as i’ve already had a stressful morning and i don’t know what i can do. i’m not abundant in cash and cannot pay storage fees until i get to her? well the reason for my 1 star review is not that, it’s that the girl starts laughing while im sobbing and walks away. she doesn’t come back for several minutes, it’s cold and outdoors. anyways just expect more compassion from people

Crazy fee $306 to get my car back I didn't have my drivers license but I was able to use a temporary one I had saved on my phone. Since I didn't have an ID I had to go get cash. Weird political picture right as you walk up too. I hope no one has to deal with this place

Car got towed, staff was friendly but the price was way to much! Paid $315 to get the car out but I got it.

This company preys on people when they’re most vulnerable. The fees are outrageous, the credit card charges are excessive, and they don’t even handle basic responsibilities like returning personal identification or issuing receipts. I had to track down my own driver’s license after they kept it and failed to contact me. Completely unacceptable and borderline predatory behavior.

Unhelpful, unprofessional, rude front desk lady who seems to lack critical thinking skills or basic empathy. My dad registered as co-owner and out of state I had to show multiple pieces of documentation showing that I was co-owner as if having the actual car keys and last name wasn’t enough.. Political signage all across the office (why?? At a tow truck lot??). Shady practices (like a 10$ reduction if you Zelle) … why would anyone ever zelle a business directly?? Anyone who participates in towing and profits off of it is a slug and slimy.

Scam artists! They tell you one price on the phone then charge you double when you are there. I hope you never get your vehicle taken there. Record the phone call before you arrive so they don’t try something slick when you get there.

The woman that the front is extremely rude; the absolute worst! My car was wrongfully towed, I even had proof that I had permission to park at the apartments. You can tell that woman hates herself and her job! You need tough skin for this kind of job and people skills She doesn’t have any of that! I was charged $333 dollars for some BS towing!!

Towed my car from my gfs apartment building (block 334) while I was supposed to be in the system as a guess parking pass. They don’t care about only towing people that aren’t supposed to be there. Just about making money.

If I could give this place zero stars, I absolutely would. From the moment I arrived, I was shocked and disappointed by what I saw. The entire facility was covered in political banners, flags, and signs supporting a specific political figure. It immediately created an uncomfortable and tense atmosphere, which is completely inappropriate for a business that is supposed to serve the general public in a fair and professional manner. No one should have to feel judged or unwelcome based on political beliefs when doing business somewhere. To make matters worse, the lady at the front window was extremely rude, dismissive, and unprofessional. She made no effort to be polite or helpful and acted as though I was a burden for simply asking questions. The overall tone and attitude from the staff were very disrespectful and made me feel completely unwelcome. What truly pushed this experience over the edge was how they handled my car. My vehicle was wrongfully towed even though it was properly registered under visitor parking. They refused to listen when I explained the situation and showed proof, and they would not release my car to me. The way they handled everything was unfair and completely unethical. It felt like they were targeting me for no reason, and to make things worse, I truly believe their behavior was racially motivated. Because of their unprofessionalism and lack of compassion, my grandmother had to drive over an hour away just to help me retrieve my car since it wasn’t in my name. This entire situation caused unnecessary stress, wasted time, and emotional distress. I would strongly advise anyone to avoid this place at all costs. They are unprofessional, biased, and clearly do not treat people equally.

Violates Texas administrative code 85.710 by not allowing me to inspect my vehicle within one hour of my request. Business hours are listed as “open 24 hours”. I will be letting local authorities know about this legal violation.

Scam artist towed my car yesterday and asked for zelle or cash with no official ticket ans threaten to take the car if we didn’t pay him 225 dollars on his personal acc filing a complaint with the police department here . When I asked for proof that we gotta pay 225 on his personal zelle acc he almost ran me over trying to take my car away . Y’all will be getting a law suit real soon

This is a towing company, they aid people with break-downs, or they tow violaters parking at wrong spots. They have an army of towing trucks, all new, different sizes, very efficient. A violator pays $300 for a radius up to 5 or 6 miles. Wally Jo's shocked and owed!

this is the only time i’ve ever left a review anywhere. The service was terrible. I can obviously understand how it can be a grueling job but the hispanic lady at the front is an absolute mess. She’s rude unprofessional and refused to provide clear answers. She gave an estimated 20 min wait (bc they parked a car right in front of ours that had to be moved) it’s 3am and almost 40 minutes later, after paying the $300+ to get the car and she is saying I can’t even run to the car to grab something, despite their sign out front saying if you leave your phone you can retrieve things from your car. She’s hiding in the back, not coming to the window and answering the phone like it’s not the same person.

This is a negative star review. I agree with other reviews that this place is a scam. 100% predatory practices and the people running this “operation” are clearly looking to do whatever they can to steal your money and to make it impossible for you to get your vehicle back. I parked in the visitors lot at a new apartment complex for less than an hour. Any tow warning signs were confusing and strategically placed out of the line of sight for people who park in that lot. I could say A LOT more but I will be taking further action instead.

To start with, my daughter did park in the wrong spot and the tow was her fault so that was not in question. However the lack of customer service, care, concern, disrespect, and attitude of the staff there was unacceptable. Our vehicle is not only from out of state but also out of the USA so this wasn’t the average situation to deal with. Being 2300 miles away they could have cared less to help solve the situation. The paperwork that they “required” was not available where we live. I had to ask our local insurance agent to come in after hours to help provide additional paperwork, which they denied because 2 pages was to difficult to put together and couldn’t figure it out. 4 attempts at sending documents that included a notary signature and 3 hours later we finally got the car. The staff was rude to say the least, could care less to help out, and would ignore my daughter when she was waiting to talk to them and when I asked to talk to the manager I was told they weren’t there. But then a manager just happens to walk out of the office an hour later?!? Completely unprofessional! I get that nobody likes dealing with their car being towed.I get that maybe having that job sucks, but treating people decently shouldn’t be that difficult. Especially when you know that the vehicle you are dealing with isn’t from the local area!

I’m here to pickup my car and whoever this vehicle belongs to, they damaged your car. The gate hit your driver side back tire and the gate is stuck on your vehicle.

Vehicle was towed almost immediately after a guest permit expired, despite the fact that the car had been properly registered under the apartment’s parking system. The tow occurred at the first possible opportunity, with no notice or flexibility. The $299 fee plus credit card fee was excessive, and the whole process felt more like a coordinated effort to profit off minor timing issues than to manage parking violations fairly. Guests and residents should be cautious, as this towing service seems to prioritize aggressive enforcement over common sense or decency.

You'll be waiting a long time to just be seen. I'm sure it's an exhausting position but the attitude is a lot when I'm trying to pay 300+ dollars and not putting up any fight. They obviously have contempt for their employees and customers. Most importantly, the card reader does not accept anything except a chip card. They refused to try a swipe transaction, a tap, or manual card entry. So you'll need to be prepared with the right kind of card in your name, unfortunately- ridiculous that they can't accept legal tender on a visa or MasterCard because the chip won't work. Even the convenience store knows how to swipe a card or input it directly.

My first review was mostly a reflection of Brandy. She gets 6 stars as a man, I should have never raised my voice at her and I’m so deeply apologetic I couldn’t control myself but this is injustice. My only question is, can you give me an itemized sheet explaining why you willingly stole my Jeep and then charged me $25 every 60 seconds? No? I know. Reform.

I had a deeply frustrating experience with Five Star Auto Storage. My daughter attempted to retrieve her vehicle, which I legally own, but the staff refused to release it because her name was not on the insurance policy—even though my name was clearly listed. I offered to provide additional proof of ownership, but they insisted there was no alternative. When I asked where this policy was documented, the employee, Anna, admitted she didn’t know and had never reviewed their website or policies herself. The situation worsened when Anna refused to provide a manager’s contact information, stating that managers are only available Monday through Friday. She was unprofessional, sarcastic, and even hung up on me during our phone conversation. This lack of transparency and poor customer service is unacceptable. I have since filed complaints with the Better Business Bureau and the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation due to what I believe are deceptive practices. Businesses like this should prioritize clear communication and professionalism, especially when dealing with customers trying to retrieve their property. I cannot recommend this company and urge others to proceed with caution.

Towing company is a scam. They wait at apartments who have made contracts to tow vehicles who part in visitor parking. Without informing anyone they watch you get out your car and tow. The moment you exit your vehicle it will get taken for it being left unattended. Does not matter if it was for a minute you aren’t in the vehicle they will take it and refuse to return it. Claiming that they can’t stop the tow because there is a 15min wait, not picking up calls, and charging you $300 plus overnight fees. If it was a justifiable tow it makes sense. However, the rude treatment and constant refusal to turn the vehicle over made it clear that it is a scam. I have filed a report with the Houston police department and hope this place gets shut down.

Having your car towed is a different type of frustration all on its own. unfortunately it happens but FORTUNATELY the sweetest soul Liv was on duty to help me. Took her less than 20 seconds to come to the window, ready to assist. Allowed me to go my car to grab my insurance and i.d (things I needed to get my car out) with ease. Being it was 3 o'clock in the morning, I sense zero attitude from her. She was effectively quick with compassion behind it (what any driver needs in such a vulnerable position). Just have your money ready (card and/or cash) with your valid insurance and drivers license and you'll be back on the road in no time with Five Star Auto Storage. Thanks Liv, truly a blessing ??

Second time I’ve had my car stolen from its parking spot in an apartment complex, in the morning they set orange cones on the roof of cars they’ve towed to show they are for sale/auction a large amount of people show up to buy. This towing company and its staff are rude and scummy.

Just deporable....the girl behind the window is ill-educated and rude. She will intentionally waste your time and hold your vehicle. I had to call the police to get her to return my vehicle.

I’m so sorry if your car got towed here just brace yourself because you are not going to get any help or great customer service. Sure it sucks to have your car towed but to have it towed and the customer service sucks is crazy! No matter my solution she tried to find a way to make it impossible. O and don’t forget to mention that if your insurance company is closed you have to wait until they open so they can verify it (that’s if you get an buthole person at the window) and you are responsible for an extra day fee. This is a savage yard no one is safe. Needless to say I got my car back after going back and forth about what their rules are for proper documentation.

Why make us wait? Where did this person go? What’s the point of keeping us waiting at 10pm? Why are you hiding? Just let us get the car so we can go to work in the morning
