I had a very negative experience with Nicholas Uwanish and Worldwide Buyers of Houston involving the purchase of a forklift, and I caution all who do business with him and his family. Initially, Nicholas was responsive and quick to help. I explained that I transport and sell heavy horse stall mats and I was looking for a 5000 pound forklift with low hours to move heavy pallets. He explained his family has been in the heavy machinery business for years, which led me to trust his word. He explained he had had just the forklift for me that only had 6500 hours on it and he would deliver. On the day of delivery he showed me around the forklift and when I asked to see the hours of use, he told me the dashboard just very recently “stopped working just after it crossed 6500 hours” (literally his words). In terms of function the forklift seemed to work great and he even moved some pallets for me. Great! We have a deal! A couple days later I had a professional forklift mechanic look over the machine to see if it needed any new liquids and I asked they look into if they can fix the dashboard. The mechanic quickly smelled a rat and told me the fuse box had been tampered with and the circuit to the dashboard was intentionally broken to purposefully take out the dash. After some repair, the mechanic was able to get the circuit working again and to my surprise, the hours on the forklift were actually OVER 14,500! NOT 6,500 as I took Nicholas Uwanish’s word on. I immediately called Nicholas and after a few calls he started sending my call directly to voicemail. He texted me he couldn’t speak and could only text because his daughter was sick, and his grandfather was sick. Then he started sending me screenshots of an old man in a hospital bed which was obviously from Instragram. I told him I wanted him to correct the dishonesty and lies he told about the forklift and he said he could not because he owed a lot of money to people and the money I paid him was already gone. I texted him picture of the dash and asked him to explain himself. He played dumb and told me the last time he used it it showed 6,500 hours and doesn’t have the darndest clue why it would show over 14,500 hours. As a man who’s word can be trusted, I gave him the weekend to come up with a solution or I would write an honest review of him and his company and post it everywhere I can online. He immediately blocked me and stopped taking my calls and texts. Unlike Nicholas Joshua Uwanish of Worldwide Buyers, I keep my word.
